I know you were concerned about watchability of this game, I can say it was thoroughly enjoyable. These new maps create a lot of interesting moments

Now THIS is a map that can produce some insane Bly cheeses I'm definitely looking forward to! I can really see him trying something like a gold base first on the opponent's side.

You'll be pleased to know! Hurricane Thrusters are now called Hurricane Engines and the icon was changed from a flame jet to a generic reactor-like icon (actually the Smart Servos icon for Co-op Mengsk), so it will no longer be mistaken for a Hellion upgrade at first glance.
zamn, do anyone actually mistook one upgrade for the other? lmao skill issue.
@@ahuzel I don't think anyone actually did... it's more of a UI design issue. At a quick glance there wasn't immediate clarity, since you don't associate a flame jet with a Cyclone. The new icon admittedly doesn't say "Cyclone" either, but it's abstract enough that it doesn't direct you to any particular unit, so you learn what it actually represents.

That map is Terran Friendly for sure with all those choke points and gaps in the Gold Mineral lines. Cool map though. ready to see some pro matches on there!
It’s always fun to see pro players learn new maps. The game itself has such a different feel from beginning to end

Great cast again Lowko! What do you think about Serral going to start his mandatory military service from April 15th for the next 6 to 9 months? Apparantly he will be able to practice and participate in some tournaments, but I still think a lot of (Korean) players will be very happy with that!
It sucks but I hope he can still play in the main tournaments at least

i think i will like these maps ... it is more variety, the maps will be played more differently then before
this map reminds me a lot of old SC2 maps of them being much more vertical in scale

@lowko... do a question of the week that you explain about something for the full weekly cast, or daily or something, for example, i really wanna know WHY do zerk always go for the nexus instead of the pilon on cases like 4:25, thei`ve seen units, so they gamble that the opponet wont follow up to defend the nexus? they could have taked down the pilon there for sure right? and its always like that, i dont remember last time that took a nexus down, usually just chip a bit of hp, but they could have took the pilon down
I wonder if the Post Youth ramp mineral can be mined out for the cannon rush.. I didn't see the amt of minerals they have, but unless it's 20 it's gotta be rough to deal with
Harstem is very good, but I feel like he is missing killer instincts sometimes
16 minute game, so I have to assume Harstem wins.
Serral didn't need to tech. He was destroying Protoss with nothing but Zergling. I think the map with all the chokes and rally point bases is a bit nasty for Protoss. Maybe Protoss can use all the ledges to build shield batteries.
Hey lowko, just a suggestion, if finding top replays is hard, how about casting viewer submitted, or play the game yourself ?
Kinda feel like that was an early GG. I like Harstem and I think he's been improving a lot but I think he sometimes gives up too easily. I mean yeah to be fair he's up against Serral so I get it. He was probably anticipating losing in a drawn out match and tapped out early, it's just wild to me that he still had a potent army.
this map actually looks quite zerg-favored. at least in ZvP. Serral tunnelvisioned on gold base, but imagine 20 lings +2 adrenoglands runing toward main base or third. or 2 drones make sneaky hole on second ramp!

could someone explain to me how @9:30 the supply count for zerg is not an even 200 even though we have 90 supply of drones and 110 army?
Post- youth. Post means after, and youth means life. And the map looks like a ruined terran city. Your playing on the "after life" of the city. 8:49

I'm guessing the replays aren't compatible because the maps have new functionality.
It seems that pro players on the ladder are significantly worse than when they are in tournaments

I haaaate this map if i play zerg. Theres like, infinite chokes everywhere. It feels insanely good for tanks & splash.

i would like to see games with a big difference in elo rating ...how big of a sweep would that be? Harstem is #35, which is better than Maru, MaxPax etc. in this regard, but he still is pretty high ranked. What would the game look like if, for example, someone ranked #50 were playing with one of the top guys? Since there is not many replays available, this is maybe the right time to answer this question.
