I don’t think those ultra was mis-rallied, their sacrifices had bought just enough time for the following corrupters and brood lords to join the final fight.

I think Harstem got the idea for that void ray maneuver from one of his "Is it Imba or do I Suck?" episodes. I believe it's the one titled "highest ranked amateur Chinese Starcraft player." Cool to see him putting into action against THE Serral.
What a game!!! Serral is the GOAT of GOATs, but Harstem put up quite the fight, wow wow wow...
With protoss late game it seems that you need to get everything in the right formation and just keep pushing. The moment you turn to retreat its all over, the zerg just rips them apart.

Harstem played phenomenally well against Serral. Even tho Serral won it felt like Harstem made him work for it and there was a bit at the end where it felt Harstem had him on the ropes and if he had pushed a bit harder he would have won. Fantastic game from The Captain. o7
Harstem did a cast the other day where he seemed very impressed by a Protoss' use of the Mothership. Lowko might be worth having a look at that game as well since Harstem said in his cast it was inspiring him to use the Mothership more aggressively.

Damn good try Harstem you went from cheeser pro to one of the SC2 pros that can stand toe-2-toe against Serral. Keep it up man

Amazing! Harstem saw that move with skipping the easy to get overlords in an IODIS or Rank Roulette and found it a brilliant idea to not alarm the Zerg and get more value. And he immediately implements it in his own play. Cool to see

Curious if you are transitioning to more individual games? While I love watching the back-and-forth of a series, sometimes just watching 25-35 minutes intense, individual games is perfect.
Nice game and nice cast. At least Harstem could taste the victory although it didn't quite work out for the captain.
Wow, what a great game. I really enjoyed that late game. It feels like it was my dynamic than it's been for a while. They traded positions a few times and when one would attack on point the other would pivot to counter attack another.
I feel like the tweaks to the temples, brood lord and mamaship have helped. Seems like players are actually moving their armies around instead of just having a grid locked stalemate with batteries and spores.
In particular removing the invis passive from the mothership lead to some great moments here. Harstem can activate it if he notices there is a lack of detection and target it down right away.

At 7:11 when the Phoenix spawn from the gateway and moved into the path of the Overseer, why didn't it attacked? Or is it because units that can move and attack at the same time, like the Mamaship, doesn't attack right after spawning even if that's one of their abilities?
units (no matter what) need to be A moved to attack enemys on their way, so yes, it didnt attack because it was just spawned moved, not a moved, to the location, but thats with every unit.
Don't listen to prezz, this looks more like a bug to me. Phoenix on move commands would aggro on overseers. I guess the spawn rally has some special code that makes them ignore units on the way?
He answered your question almost yet don't listen to him. Honestly it's because Harstem probably didn't want to attack it. Would've gave away any surprise he had left even if Serral saw it. And thaats my theory. The fact is he moved the spawning location when he was creating the Phoenix, and no it won't attack if it's being spawned somewhere. Then he switched the spawn location when he built the next unit.
Harstem would've had to physically stop the Phoenix and make it attack . Which he ain't gonna do all that. Even if he caught it. Unless it was in that second and even then I doubt it.

When did he throw the game?
It wasn't a nearly perfect game and he didn't throw it. He lost because he steadily kept bleeding resources until the gap in the bank was so big he would invariably lose to the subsequent waves of zerg coming out after the fight. It was a great game, but Harstem kept getting out skilled just a little bit at all times which mounted up to losing.
@@sebastjankrek1744 exactly, and honestly I was very impressed by Harstem. This was Serral he was keeping up with after all.

that last fight could have been won, if he kept going left and kept the interceptors out by targeting buildings.

Very impressive by Harstem! Yet I'm never sure about using capital ships, specially against zerg. Gives me a bad feeling. Maybe mass speed rays could do better. Would counter brood lords and corruptors better. Annnd Vipers and infestors are too strong against it. Perhaps implementing different levels of enery required to abduct could be enough to balance pvz. Abducting a Colossus should cost more energy than abducting a marine. And abducting a mothership is a nono. For the sake of our eyes. ❤
well mass carriers balls are already OP for the prize tho .... if you nerf abduct you gotta buff corruptors somehow. Abduct is the only way Zerg has to keep protoss numbers from getting too high, and if they get too high, its up to a point where you can reinforce like Serral did here ...
@@KaratePath I don't know man. I would rather buff corruptors in this case. At least it's not a free kill. Yanks powerful/expensive units is more than a hard counter. There is no saving grace for the unit abducted, even for pro protoss. It suck the fun out of the game, in my opinion.

it's very hard to use prism against players like Serral because they would use vipers to yoink it and you have to micro it a lot
@@Iaotle thats true for microing but why not keep one in the back of the army for warp ins?
It buffels me a bit, because if you see other toss players lose their prism, you always hear from the commentar "ooohhh thats basically gg" and harstem just doesnt show up with one at all :D
@@BestPrezz most likely just an APM/cognitive limit. You gotta get into the mindset of someone playing 1v1 versus Serral - you have to split your attention efficiently in order to win, you're not thinking about the prism most of the time.
@@Iaotle well, I cant look in the head of Harstem, and yeah, focus/APM is limited, but prism is a very strong unit which is by other toss player used pretty much all the time. I GUESS Harstem could use effectivly too, he´s a pro with 6,5k MMR, cant imagine that would be such a problem, but just doesnt prefer it, I guess. Anyway, I dont wanna say he would win against Serral with a prism, just that it would improve his gameplay.

Toss can't afford playing coward's game, that's the difference. They are built to always have to push to have any chance.
