Unlike dogs, the majority of cats aren't pedigree, so owning a cat that has a breed at all is uncommon. Non-pedigree cats are typically referred to as "domestic shorthair/longhair" but that's not really a "breed" in the same way, it's more similar to calling them mutts.

i always love your runs, but i was especially excited for this one. i’ve always been a cat person, but the main reason i was looking forward to this run because my own cat was featured. pickles may not have been as much of a beast as greebo, but i’m still thrilled that he was able to do so well in this nuzlocke. thank you so much for featuring my buddy. what a perfect way to honour his memory.

A reptile run next would be great. Scarlet has a cool roster of reptiles, even excluding the dragon types.
You could even get away with certain dragon types, like Cyclizar, which is highly inspired by modern day lizards.

I lost my cat in October of last year, just before his 10th birthday. He was my best friend.
You've said before that you enjoy making a puzzle out of Nuzlocke challenges. That you like crafting an assured victory, rather than skating by on luck alone. I really appreciate that skill of yours being showcased here in a deathless run as an homage to some incredible pets. Obviously risks were taken (some unintentionally so), but I think it's a testament to your skill as a Nuzlocker to play through them, and respecting the namesakes of your Pokémon to not make needless sacrifices.
This was really cathartic for me. I know it's Pokémon, and maybe it's silly, but it felt really good to see some cats cherished and treated as important. Thank you.

A Lizardlocke would be cool, I don't own a lizard, but it would justify both the fuecoco pick and why you are riding a lizard. I know hm mon's are usually excluded from challenge rules, but in a lizardlocke it would be a non-issue. Also Alliteration 👀
I appreciate that Greebo the superstar of the run was named after Greebo the Discworld cat who killed two vampires single-pawedly

@@goldenalpaca3881 When I started playing the game and choose my starter cat she came with adamant nature, 30IV in speed and attack ( yes I also got the female one ) and goddamn with some attack EVs and miracle seed + grass Tera she was just destroying the game alone.
I only benched her during Ice gym and in other fights she atleast take down 1 to 3 Pokemon everytime. It was a crazy experience as I don't think I have used a starter more than her lol

I'd honestly love to see you do a horse-locke or a hoof-locke, Mudsdale has quickly become my new fave pokemon in my current playthrough even though most would probably agree that that's a goated pkmn

My family had to depart with our precious housecat named Mango over a year ago when we moved and it's been hard having to live without my handsome little sweetheart all this time.

I have two little albino rats, Ika and Niko, and while I can't enter them because I can't do the whole Patreon thing(not my choice, I would if I could, I'm just broke lol), the three of us will always enjoy watching! I had to double-take at hearing the name Moonshine being used. My stepsister has a black male kitty named Moonshine, though my half-sister and I sometimes jokingly call him IA for Illegal Alcohol. =P Not the same Moonshine as here, but a funny coincidence!
So many cute kitties made this an even better video than usual~ Also helps that Espeon is my favorite Pokémon with Umbreon being my second favorite (followed by the other Eeveelutions) so I got to enjoy watching them. =3

Since you’ve mentioned enjoying using mons you’ve never used before, have you considered a run where your eligible encounters are only mons you haven’t beaten the game with before? You could call it a Rising Stars Locke or something of the sort.
Suggestion: a pet rodent run! You could also include rabbits (technically not rodents, but close enough) for type diversity
My cat's breeds are "Unpercieved Cryptid" and "Screaming Chonk". Also I adore this video.

A moth only nuzlocke would also be interesting, given the abundance of moth pokemon in various games. They do, however, generally suck, so it would be quite a challenge as well.

You should make a rodent(mouse, rat, Guinea pig, hamster, etc.) only Pokémon nuzlock.
Also fun fact, the bug type in Pokémon only exists because of Satoshi’s love for bug catching. Satoshi Tajiri has autism so he had a special interest which was bug catching. His love for bug catching combined with his autism and later in his life his love for video games is also the reason that Pokémon as a whole exists.

Most people don't know what "type" of cat they have because the vast majority of cats are not part of a breed. They're just cats. Instead, they're classified based on coat length (color doesn't matter). Greebo and Pickles are (mostly likely) domestic long haired cats while Robbie and Carlisle are domestic short haired cats, for example.

There’s something hilarious about calling Quaquaval “disturbingly humanoid” when using a starter that’s the same, but on steroids. A bird run would be nice to give that guy some spotlight.
I had a cat named pickles,he was also a black cat,he had short fur though,and he lived for 17 years,he was scared of everything,but he loved us,we found him in a bush when he was a kitten,so I think he was abandoned :( this was back in the 90's so I don't remember much about that anymore,but I do remember I named him pickles cause his green eyes

Meowscarada is the perfect starter for me: grass (favorite type) + cat+ feminine are traits I love! Bonus points for Protean, Flower trick, and good competitive viability. She's so cute too.
My nerdy fascination with taxonomy would love if you did a nuzlocke with the remaining members of the order carnivora. That would include bears, hyenas, seals, walruses, raccoons, otters, and more.
