Sunday evenings in Corbin most people are either at church or at home having dinner with the family, then relaxing a bit before having to get up and go to work in the morning. I'm originally from Michigan but have been in Corbin for several decades. I wouldn't move back to Michigan if you paid me to.

Every day of the week, this town shuts down at dusk… With the exception of a few 24 hour restaurants such as McDonald’s and Taco Bell, I was shocked, coming from a big city when I first moved here almost 30 years ago… And in that 30 years, the town has not changed much at all besides a few new restaurants… I guess most of the people who live here like it that way… The only people you usually see out after dark are the teenagers because there is literally nothing for them to do in this town
You have just described every small town in America. Maybe when we are young kids and teenagers, we long for more action. But when you get in your 50's and 60's, going back to a quiet small town is more desirable these days.

Was born, grew up, and have just returned to Corbin after some traveling of myself. Corbin and this area are considered the leaders in both Coal and in the Diesel industry. You kept mentioning how no one was around and it seemed like maybe something like a game was going on due to the emptiness in the streets; this is not the case.
