thank you very much. is there need to stop database for patching? I installed patches for grid on the fly without stopping cluster
If you have a RAC database and all the patches that you are installing are RAC Rolling installable (you can see in each patch readme), then you can perform a rolling patch apply. The database will not be down. But each individual node will be taken down for a reboot. However, GI will move the services accordingly.

How about MES patch in Oracle 11g (11.2.0.4.0) especially.. kindly suggest me on this would appreciate if you provide...

Actually this is for TLS 1.2 update of the application that's why we have to update the version.

You are right that you must run datapatch when you patch databases. This video is about the Oracle Home, and we have another one about patching the database th-cam.com/video/N5GSsUT2nqw/w-d-xo.html. And it uses datapatch as you suggest.
