about the video, after analyzing different interpretatons, I've come to the conclusion that when he sings "You make noise" he does it to his feminine part. the woman you see in the video is his ego and what he deeply hopes to become one day. The final reunion, after the many contact refusals is symbolizing his final choice. Orange and blue are the archaic symbols of femininity and masculinity. If you read it this way, the video will be much clearer. The final embrace embodies both colours.
This song was dedicated to his ex girlfriend. I believe that he talks about making noise because if there is silence it means that his lover left him and he's alone. He says make noise because to him this silence (=her absence) is unbereable. His life is quiet now, he lives without her by his side and he's not happy. In general it can be read as describing how we feel empty and our lives seem to be too quiet when a loved one is not anymore with us, whether it is death or a break up separating us.

The second chord is a Bm instead of a B I suppose. But anyways, many songs have those chords. It's not an example of overly complex harmony, but it's not a bad thing. It is a song that almost silently builds up at each verse/chorus.
