2024 was a great year with a ton of great different airlines, countries, airports, and people. None of it would be possible without y'all so I wanted to take a moment to thank you but also rank some of the best and worst of our experiences as well as looking at the stats from the year. Thanks again everyone!
I really do appreciate all of y’all and want to have you guys contribute to the future of the channel. Respond in this thread with things you’d like to see on the 2025 agenda!
I think the aer Lingus or Iberia A321 XLR would be cool.
@@PatrickSheaAviation United A321 Neo
El Al to TLV.
Mongolia doesn't get much love by most of the TH-camrs. Would be cool to see you cover Ulaanbataar - Tokyo route on United.
@@wellsw3 It should. NRT-UBN on UA or ICN-UBN on MIAT would be cool to see.
I agree, Starlux, San Fran, and Doha AP are some of the best. Love your reviews, honesty and humours banter. All the best for the new year and look forward to a year of incredible journeys.
I'm a simple avgeek - Patrick posts, I click. :)
Ha! Thanks! I appreciate you stopping by!
American Airlines AAdvantage offers the best value by FAR of all the North American carriers. I use them to fly to Australia a lot - for some reason they often offer the YYZ - DFW or ORD - LAX - SYD for 65K points in business one way 1 - 3 weeks out. I just booked YYZ - LGA (JFK) - AKL - SYD for 80K on Qantas three weeks from now as well. So you're absolutely right about partners being the way, but often originating up here can save you some points too . . . Aeroplan can be OK as well but it's usually more than Aadvantage. Qantas first class is awesome. It's not quite Singapore but it's very . . . australian.
One of the most underrated AVGeek channels on YT. I have watched every single video you put out each Sunday the past year, and enjoyed each one of them. Thank you for your hard work, safe travels. Best of luck for another successful year! ❤🎉
Thank you! I appreciate you stopping in to check out the content and make it all possible! Safe travels!
Dude, I respect you for all your hard work. I wish I could meet you and fly somewhere across the world like my goal. I enjoyed watching a lot of your videos both this year and when I first started back in the fall of 23. I hope to continue watching you in the years to come. Keep up all the hard work and Happy New Year! Stay safe
Great having you around on this channel. I appreciate the kind words. Happy new year!
I came across your channel this year and am super happy I did, I love your style of flight reviews and all the great commentary and information you share. Looking forward to a great 2025!
Glad to have you here, helping to grow the channel. Thank you!!
Always appreciate your humility and detail in these reviews.
Great to hear. Thanks man!
One of my best trip reviewers. You make traveling a thing that’s accessible and fun
Thank you! That's great to hear
Omg I was waiting for this video!!
Love the fact that you respond to your messages.
Thanks for checkin out the content each week! Excited for the new year of videos!
Nice job, Patrick! Be safe.
I was starting to be concerned there won't be a video today, also I subscribe because of the whole air peace debacle
I like your style Patrick - and especially the fact that you're based out of my home airport as well. Keep up the good work.
Your Rwandair trip report was my favorite this year. Happy New Year Patrick.
That was a GREAT trip. Thank you!
Thank you for all the videos this year
Thanks for watching! Looking forward to what's next!
Very, Very, Interesting, You do a Fabulous job. I have learned so much this past year from your travels. Happy News Years From San Diego.
That's awesome to hear! Glad to have you here! Thanks!
Hey Patrick I really appreciate knowing your channel this year, congratulations and thank you for so much information and great content, to more great videos in 2025
Thanks for joining the adventures this year! Looking forward to the next!
Thanks for the enjoyable content and the conversation over on your IG! Here’s to a great 2025 🎉
Thanks homie!
I was wondering if we were going to watch your video tonight. Nice 2024 recap 👍 Happy New Year and all the Best for 2025.👍
Thanks! You too!
This was such a fascinating look at your amazing travels!! Love all the stats and your reflections. Happy New Year!
Thank you! You too!
Hi Patrick, Thank you very much for your videos, hoping eventually meet in in RIO to say hi ! As an aviation enthusiast, sure will have a lot of fun hearing your stories :) As Airline staff for more than 33 years, also have some fun stories to share. Cheers, Happy New Year ! BTW Try Azul Conecta from RRJ to CGH or v.v. This is a new cool operated route by Azul :)
Rio is still on my list. Maybe I'll have better luck there than SP! Thank you!
I agree with the best airport. Sfo on top
Awesome year of videos! Thanks for all you do. I look forward to your videos each week. Would love to see you do something with reviewing hotels here and there. You would be awesome at it.
Thanks! I've contemplated working that in in addition to the flights, but I don't have a solid vision of the execution just yet... but maybe someday soon!
Thankw for all the great videos, i really like the deepdive into the history of a route and the reasoning for why certain airlines fly places
That's always been one of the parts that interested me, so it's fun to share it with y'all, thanks!!
I have been watching this channel since the rare a330-800 video of Uganda airlines and I love that you do reviews of so many African airlines as not many flight reviewers focus on African aviation other than the giants like Ethiopian. And in 2025 I look forward to more, it would be amazing if you did a ‘Mont Gabon’ review as they are operating rare a air Zimbabwe 767 but in conclusion thanks for the videos and happy new year.
Great wrap up for 2024 🤌🏽🤙🏽. Looking forward to more of your flight adventures Patrick 💪🏽🙏🏽
Thanks! I'm excited to see what we can roll out next year!
I’ve really enjoyed your flight content this year and am so glad I found you!!! Looking forward to watching your adventures in the new year! ❤
Thank you! It's great to hear that!
Thank you - a great recap.
Re QF1, I was planning to redeem Avios on Qatar for a trip to Australia & New Zealand this May but will consider Qantas now that you’ve reminded me about their First Cabin. Certainly not considering BA due to their high taxes, brunchgate & today’s effective dismantling of the Executive Club!
Happy New Year 🎉
Right back atcha!
2024 had great adventures. I can't wait to fly starlux based on the reviews. Can't wait to be apart of the 2025 adventures! 24hrs total taxi time is wild lol. Enjoyed the stats, great finishing touch.
Starlux is definitely a great way to fly! Safe travels!
Love your stuff!! Keep up the great work that you do on your videos and have a Happy 2025!!!
Thanks man! I appreciate it!
Thanks for all the great content + videos!
Thank you! Glad to have you around here for the experiences!
Happy holidays, Patrick and thanks for sharing. I thought that Hawaiian Airlines (now owned by Alaska Air Group) is joining the Oneworld alliance in 2025. It turns out that they have to wait until 2026 to become a full time member.
It would be nice to see a new Hawaiian Airlines lounge in Terminal 1 via Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in the near future as a brand new member of Oneworld.
I've enjoyed your channel this year! Looking forward to more in 2025.
Thanks!
That was really fun to relive
SFO for sure best airport in USA
I think in 2025 you should bite the bullet and take a flight out of OAK instead of SFO 🤣
I also think you should give El Al a try. I don't think you've done a video on El Al. They don't fly out of SFO, but maybe you could fly LAX or JFK to TLV.
I have done OAK, but SJC is my favorite bay area airport. That's why it bums me out that they've lost so many long haul flights. Maybe someday they'll have the perfect recipe to keep them around
@@PatrickSheaAviation California's economy would have to improve and the tech sector would have to regain its past glory in order for SJC to sustain long-haul flights. I don't see that happening as long as the state government continues to overtax and overregulate businesses, create quality of life problems that discourage people and businesses from moving to the state, and mismanage the state's economy.
HAPPY NEW YEARIII 🎉🎉🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 Yes SFO is a GREAT airport! OMG I will NEVER fly Air Piss ---> NEVER EVER!
Love all your videos mate. Keep on doing what you're doing 😁
Thank you! Looking forward to the next adventures!
Happy new year Patrick
As a Dodgers fan, it pains me to watch this. As an av geek tho, great recap!
Patrick, at 31:23 you show a Business Class cabin with a black/white striped color scheme. What airline is that?
Looks like condor
^^ yep, what he said
Glad to have found your channel. Your first airport sounds awful. SF the exact opposite.
I am thoroughly enjoying this video.
Awesome, thanks! Glad to have you here!
You are one of the best!!!
Thanks!!
Thank you Patrick.
Thank YOU for stopping by to check out my content! I appreciate it
Thanks Patrick for this yearly review video. I've enjoyed your travel/flying video very entertaining to watch. Looking forward to 2025. I'd like to know how you got into this line of You Tube flight video job/business
Great to hear. Thanks! Honestly, it was always something I wanted to do, but took me until a couple years ago to make it a reality. And now I'm loving every second of it!
You should do a helicopter review.
I did hop on Blade to JFK in 2024, but other than that, I'd love to find some more fun heli adventures
Do you do anything in specific to keep yourself from constantly getting sick? I feel like anytime I travel anywhere I get sick and I always wonder how people who travel a lot handle that. You must have one hell of an immune system 😆
Nah... sometimes the illness sets in. There have been some flights that were crippling, but only one or two that I've had to completely scrap fortunately... hopefully that number stays down
33:01, Actually no, N786UA that you flew is the Boeing 777-200ER, not non ER like Cathay and Korean air, the only difference is economy class, they have in flight entertainment TV, which is good.
You miss the question from last year and didn't mention on your recap 2024 video.
What's the best and worst e visa and visa requirements? Have you been diverted on the plane or never in 2024?
You flew from abuja to london?
Other way around. The BA flight from Heathrow
Can you please the try the inaugural flight from Charlotte to Athens that is beginning on June,2025?
Interesting! I'll have to check it out
Shouldve excluded Air Peace given they took the worst spot for so many of your categories! (Which I know you gave multiple mentions)
Although I do give them credit for the food. I don't think the flight was all that bad, mostly just the ground experience
29:45, Really? It could be bad weather, mechanical issue or not enough fit to fly more international routes like Turkish airlines, it has more international flight routes than any other airline like Emirates in the world, wow, but delay can happen for Turkish because flights to China, Hong Kong and Seoul can be delay almost commonly because not enough fleet to fly to more destinations, keep in mind if your visiting or transiting in Istanbul.
200K points should get you a Lufhansa first class roundtrip between Frankfurt and Singapore 😂😂😂 You definitely made the worst redemption in aviation history
I mean sheesh it was either that, or be stuck in Nigeria. It hurts, but I figured I'd earn them back eventually
@@PatrickSheaAviationDid catch a glimpse of the China Airlines A350 in the vedio. Love to see a review on them in the future as how it competes against your favorite business cabin.
@ I flew them (and covered it) a few months ago if you’re interested. From Taipei to Ontario
Pls fly Turkish airlines
It's on the list!
