I bought this and can’t recommend enough. It’s really great for bedroom/apt playing where playing loud is an issue. This pedal produces great sound at low volumes. Clean, Blues, Classic Rock, High Gain. All really pleasing sounds at low volume. I own multiple distortion/overdrive pedals and they all sit unused since I purchased this. Two thumbs up🤙🏻🤙🏻
How low volume are we talking, and with what cabinet? I'm asking because I'm thinking of getting one, but I live in a shared flat which has poor sound isolation and I can only play really really quietly here.

The Shape sounded best to the left, when you played Clean sounds. edit: The Stamp is a little better at _'Gain before 10 o'clock '_ than the Micro Terror and Micro Dark.
You’ll want a speaker cable. In a pinch a guitar cable will work but my understanding is speaker cable uses a different type of construction as it’s carrying power 👍
I believe because it's solid state running it without a load would be fine. But I would double check with Orange. You can get some great tones taking the FX out into an interface and then adding Two Notes free Wall of Sound in the DAW for cab impulses 👍

Can this pedal be connected to a procesor like Fractal FM3? I guess it would go through the Mic output, correct? But wouldn't the simcab included in that output impact the sound in FM3 with another cabsim in it?
Hi, So the way I would do it is take the FX SEND. That would be the pedal sound without the Cab Sim. Then use the cab sim in the Fractal. The Stamp has a solid state power amp so in theory it doesn't need a load connected and you won't be missing out by taking the FX send instead of the cab sim as the output shouldn't be adding colour anyways 👍
Cheers, yeah I set the TS with no gain at all, then volume and tone just above halfway, I prefer to use it to tuck in the low end rather than for gain 👍
Would the Stamp still sound good at low volumes for playing quitely in a flat/apartment? I read one reviewer say it sounded thin at low volumes. Or maybe I can connect the Stamp to my audio interface, then to studio monitors, and control the volume that way?
I don’t think there is a big change in tone with volume. It’s a solid state power section so should stay the same. You can always cab sim to the interface like you said if needed 👍
The line out was sent to the audio interface I take it and your IR of choice was loaded ? The Orange cab sim output doesn’t sound bad. I am looking into getting a 2x12 Marshall cabinet in general but in the meantime......
A question. For demos and home recording, I'm torn between this and a Bax Bangeetar that just turned up used. I'm a bassist and my rig is Orange so that's where I am staying. What should I do?
Either would be great, the Stamp has the bonus that it is an amp head so can plug into most cabs for volume as well as being used with headphones. The Bangeetar can't power a speaker but could be used with your Orange bass rig or just use the cab sim and use it as a headphone amp 👍

Hey, naa. It's an amp head in a pedal format. It needs it's own cabinet. If you took the FX Stamps FX loop send and put that it into your Peavey it would probably work but I'm not sure it would sound any good 👍 If you want a similar sound in a pedal, have a look at the Orange Getaway Driver, which is a great distortion pedal. I had this unit for a few days and I couldn't get a useable tone out of it - whatsoever. Very muffled, rubber-like response and fuzzy gain. I wonder if this thing was already broken when it came.
Hey there Toby, I am looking at either this or the orange crush 20 rt for home recording use, using the cab sim to keep the volume down at home. Which one would you recommend for the best emulated cab sim out of the 2? Great videos by the way, really clear demos of some great equipment!
Thanks. The cab sims are quite similar, the Stamp is maybe slightly better. The advantage of the Terror Stamp is you can record direct using the Line Out (Not Cab sim out) then use external IRs in your DAW to get a great guitar sound. The Crush 20RT blew me away, It's a brilliant little practice amp that records really well with a mic on it. Each great choices 👍

There is headroom, but yes it won't get super loud with the gain down. It'd be fine with a mic but otherwise you;d struggle to jam clean with a drummer 👍
It looks like you have foam under the bridge on your les paul. 🤔 you know you can throw the silly foam away and instead top wrap the strings over the top like a wrap tail Jr's bridge.
Yes, the power section is solid state so it harm it running without a cab. Just make sure you plug your headphones into the cab sim output abd not the speaker out!
I run the effects loop send to an IR hosting pedal (Mooer Radar or similar) and then run the speaker out to a live cab. It’s a work around to get a stereo image.

I really like the clean tones that I hear on Orange amp demos. They are more known for dirtier tones, but the clean sounds are exceptional to my ears.

This Amp is absolute KILLER for nice retro guitar sounds. Put a BigMuff to it and switch to TOTAL DESTRUCTION!!!!

When using tons of gain, anything past noon on the shape control sounds kinda brittle and fizzy. Pass

I think it's cool to boost the volume for a solo, actually. For more gain I can use a tube screamer.

They have slightly different features but really it's all the same thing. Ownhammer IRs are meant to be the best if you decide to spend money on them.

Is it loud enough clean for playing in a band situation trough 1x12?
I'd say with a loud drummer no, with a soft drummer maybe. For a gig mic'd it would be fine, for rehearsal unmic'd it might struggle 👍

Fairly loud. Solid state power section so won't hang with a hard hitting drummer unless you mic it but loud enough for most uses.

They are plastic bumpers for pedals, just makes them a bit easier to push without shoes on. Got them on Aliexpress 👍
