I'm sure a Walmart employee can care less what you buy of whatever price. They just don't want to loose their jobs over something stupid or obviously that's wrongly priced and will come back to them.
In my country is this happen, you take a pic of the price tag and the object, try to get it and if the store doesn't want to sell you can report it and get the item for lower, yeah is being an asshole but is not your fault you wanted something for less
@@RobTiff0818 I can't be certain but I assume the pricing is at 0.03$ due to taxes because you can't pay 0.001$ in taxes and I don't know but these products may come with 2 different types of taxes, so the system probably can't go lower than 0.03$. There is also a fair chance that, if no price is entered into the system or someone accidentally deletes a price the system adds this baseline of 0.03$ as the price. Meaning there is a fair chance these prices often times are what they are due to human or maybe even system error. This can happen to the best of us. This is basically why she did the right thing. I mean, adding up the value of all those products, you know how much they theoretically lost? Since we don't know the exact pricing and if all games where at three cents for certain, let's just say all of them were: 1 game definetly 30$ 2 games probably 15$ each And let's put the other 23 at 10$ each That's 290$ sold for just 0.78$ meaning a loss of more the 99.5%. Wouldn't that ring a bell for you? If this pricing wasn't intentional, which seems to have been the case, she could be held responsible for this loss. So she did the right thing, asking her manager, else she could potentially lose her job. Sure, she said that "they can't go for three cents" but that doesn't mean she is this old hag, keen on not giving the evil resellers their goods. She probably couldn't care less. What she cares about however is her job.
@@GermanGlitchhunter I understand what you're saying. But there is a 0% chance a floor worker making near minimum wage will lose their job for selling a product at the price it is marked at in their system. The person who deleted the price in the system? Maybe... The person who sold the product at the price advertised on the website and displayed at the register? Absolutely not.
Really I hated the guys who shat on the floor or the people who were creepy to the women who worked there honestly I would rather be busy grabbing stuff then just sitting around
@@antPPP17 scalping is buying all the items before anybody else can buying items that have sat on the shelf for years is not scalping. if someone wants those games they would have bought them already. hes not up selling for a upcharge hes just selling them what they are actually worth
I wouldn’t want to sell a game for $0.03 as an employee. I don’t want to lose my job because I “messed up” and sold something for the wrong price despite store policy. Always confirm with management before selling stuff that isn’t clearly labeled for a clearance price.
I had a similar situation happen to me, and it actually occurred at a WalMart store near my house. I was purchasing a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The retail price was $ 199.99> But the price tag that was on the box to the watch, was $ 19.99... Obviously, that was a one hundred dollar mistake, pricing the watch at $ 19.99, rather than $ 199.99. I brought this up to the employee at the electronics department there, and he said that I still had to pay the actual price. I then consulted with a manager, he checked the other boxes, mine was the only one with that pricing error. I still, to this day question what the difference was, had all of the watches had the incorrect price, or just mine. The manager never provided me with his reasoning for that fact. But, it must have been in my favor, that only the box that I received had the wrong price. The manager begrudgingly gave me the watch, for the listed price of $ 19.99. I got lucky that day, and finally had something work out for me, when purchasing big ticket items. It is a great watch, but it does not play well, with my I-phone. lol. I have looked at the I - watches, and they do not stack up to the Samsung Galaxy smart watch. I am very tempted to change carriers, and purchase an Android phone, that completely corresponds with my Smart watch...As I have never been able to find any reason that the IOS operating system is any better than the Android Operating System. They both seem equal to me, as I have owned phones from both systems for long periods of time. I actually think that Android has some more advanced, and nicer phones than Apple has...
As someone who used to work for a large retail chain in Canada, anything with a $0.03 price tag is likely a specific code to inform employees that the item is to be removed from shelves. The company I worked for used $0.13 as code for "Destroy In Field," meaning the item was to be physically destroyed by the merchandising team, and they were completely unable to be rung into the POS. Reasons could include recalls of product or product codes that weren't worth the return shipping, expired versions of gift cards, etc. Mostly happened on outdated software activation codes, which were printed on little pieces of card stock, but would sometimes be for larger items like camera bags. Oh, and expired confections/drinks.
It makes sense to destroy expired items like expired activation codes or perishable products, but destroying perfectly good items like camera bags (or even non perishable food products) is exactly what's wrong with big retail conglomerates and I'm glad I live in Europe where many countries have at least some laws against this (especially regarding food waste).
@@OcultaManu Recently while i was at gamestop to browse a couple also came in and loooked around. While they were checking out, one of the items they had was some kinda action figure thing. The manager tried scaning it only to find it was no longer even in their system. So she just gave it to them free!
Exactly bro I work at Walmart I know this policy sucks but it's hard explain to people that recall items cannot be selled Cause they get pissed off at workers who are just trying to do their job
Former retail manager here, but not for Walmart. If an item is priced in the inventory control system as 0.03 cents, it's because the item has been on clearance for so long that the automated price drops have put it beyond the sale point. I worked for an OfficeMax location, and when this would happen, we would be encouraged to send the product back to the supplier for a rebate/refund for the return that would be higher than the clearance prices. Sometimes people forget to pull the product once it has slid below the functional resale price, as it did in this video. That being said, I distinctly recall letting a pair of clearance Beats by Dre headset (like, the wired ones when they first came out) go for like 20 bucks that was obviously below that resale threshold just because I thought the dude was chill, and I wanted to make his day. Corporate wasn't amused, but I was.
If scanned it shows up at the register as clearance & nothing stops the transaction, it's easy to miss if the customer is buying a lot of items or you just were never informed to look out for it. I sold a few items before that had that rang out as low as 1 cent.. I was never informed we should pull those items till like a year after I started working. I don't get why they just wouldn't block the SKU at the register so it won't scan in that case, or why the training videos for new employees don't cover that information. Their turn over rate is so high I'm sure most of the employees don't know the procedure for dealing with that & I'm sure that goes for a lot of other retail chains also that do similar things.
@@V3DT Where I was at, there was just a certain price that was a clear indicator that it wasn't for sale anymore. Clearance is usually 50% of the bulk price of the product (the purchase price) and below that is when they try to find something else to do with it.
I just bought a doorbell camera for $8 at my job last month. It was originally $100 but it kept getting marked down. Ours never gets below $5 usually because it'll get sent back to the distribution center after a certain amount of time automatically. Pretty impressed I was able to snag that. Also our system once it gets that low will allow you to ring it up, but not check availability at other stores so basically you gotta call around and have the employee physically look for it.
You can't really blame the worker for questioning it. Glitches in systems happen all the time and having an item ring up for 3 cents seems crazy and impossible to be legit. I'm confused tho why a game is put into clearance but not labeled with a price if it's like 3 cents?
I work at walmart and can tell you this is completely out of the workers & managements control markdowns are often done by corperate & sometimes completely done by a system Once these changes happens management prints out labels with the new prices and delegates the new prices to the employees sometimes things can be in the wrong place and can end up making the employee throw out these labels out as some items end up being "ghost" items and getting labels printed for them when they dont have a location or have the same location as another item And sometimes when these labels are done you can discover areas that corperate made new "mods" for without managment knowing and you can find out those entire shelves have very lowly marked down items. I take the time to take these items to get proper discount labels while many employees arent trained to do this which is stupid honestly. Personally I think it should be coperates job to tell us what items are being deleted from a shelf location & to clearance these items, as otherwise new employees dont know what to do with these items that read "no location" legit its so frustrating to be told to fix an area up and get items that you have no idea where to put them because we have no designated spot
When I used to work at walmart I noticed we had a box filled with games from more than a decade ago. And I mean like 50 copies of some trash game that would never ever sell one let alone fifty. So I think sometimes stuff just floats around and gets forgotten about.
I used to work at Toys R Us when it was still around, once every 6 months we would have items go on clearance for .03 and .02 cents, it was the signage team members job to find said items (with a full list of what items were marked down) and take them off the shelves. If a customer got lucky and found it we’d sell it for that price but there was a 15 item limit wether it was multiple of the same or just 15 random items at that price.
Because it's not supposed to be clearance. The game is marked as .03 because it's a "recalled" game. They send that back to the warehouse and homeoffice gives their store credit for it. It's not a glitch or anything with the system. I used to work at wal Mart in electronics and handled prices changes etc.
@@Heha323 You're right and wrong. Yes corporate sets prices on things. But it's also up to the department manager to mark things up or down, I was once that person to do the marking up and down. Things like this are what we called "recalled" items and we sent them back to the warehouse to get credit from home office. If not then our store lost money.

Kinda of a very douchey move there to just grab all of the discounted games. Same happened here, I saw some Zelda games were on sale, I really wanted one for ages. They got discounted to 5, so went to get in my local store and the sales woman said some guy picked up all of their stock just few hours before. I really hope all the stores will introduce the bulk buying, so you can't get more than 3 games of the same title per customer. Bulk buying is just a selfish and such a cunty thing to do. At least leave a couple of copies behind.
Was thinking the same thing, clearly a guy just taking advantage of the system. Although really, this guy is barely making money bothering to flip games lmao, should get a real job

I've worked at Gamestop and I dont really blame that Walmart employee. Whenever we have "pennied out" items (1 cent games or items) we sometimes just give it to the customer. I agree with your intentions with this thought. The only thing is that if we’re being honest, the vast majority of casual video game players wouldn’t even know clearance items like these exist. They might look for good deals and sales on a surface level and maybe get lucky one day randomly. But re sellers do their research to find these quickly and yeah it’s unfortunate to think someone lost out but those sales would’ve ended with most of the games still in stock at Walmart but would’ve been put back out on the shelves with a higher price tag again

As a Walmart employee we were told that if games or items get that low, we are supposed to send them to claims. These "hidden clearance" items at Wal-Mart also apply to toys. I had an employee once tell me to actually scan stuff because they're sometimes much lower than advertised and he actually showed me some examples. I ended up getting my son some $30 toys for under $2. I went to another Wal-Mart and got some more and saw a couple with 3 carts full of toys doing this. Outside they had a truck absolutely full of toys from other Wal-Marts and they said they were selling them on Amazon. I actually bought them for my kid and I told a few other parents there as well but immediately after the stingy greedy couple took everything for a profit. That's not what I feel like those sells are for. Wal-Mart is done with them and I see it as a way for them to give them back to the community. If you're gonna take a few to sell, whatever, but don't just go around taking litterly everything from every Wal-Mart in the state. Oh. They care. That lady who said "Item not sellable..." was a pure lie. Their system does not say that they didn't want to sell it to him for $0.03.
Since we don't know the exact pricing and if all games where at three cents for certain, let's just say all of them were:

2 games probably 15$ each

I brought this up to the employee at the electronics department there, and he said that I still had to pay the actual price. I then consulted with a manager, he checked the other boxes, mine was the only one with that pricing error. I still, to this day question what the difference was, had all of the watches had the incorrect price, or just mine. The manager never provided me with his reasoning for that fact. But, it must have been in my favor, that only the box that I received had the wrong price. The manager begrudgingly gave me the watch, for the listed price of $ 19.99. @@johnnydarko2736 and what do you do for a living

You can't really blame the worker for questioning it. Glitches in systems happen all the time and having an item ring up for 3 cents seems crazy and impossible to be legit. I'm confused tho why a game is put into clearance but not labeled with a price if it's like 3 cents?
I work at walmart and can tell you this is completely out of the workers & managements control
markdowns are often done by corperate & sometimes completely done by a system
Once these changes happens management prints out labels with the new prices and delegates the new prices to
the employees sometimes things can be in the wrong place and can end up making the employee throw out these labels
out as some items end up being "ghost" items and getting labels printed for them when they dont have a location or have the same location as another item
And sometimes when these labels are done you can discover areas that corperate made new "mods" for without managment knowing
and you can find out those entire shelves have very lowly marked down items. I take the time to take these items to get proper discount labels
while many employees arent trained to do this which is stupid honestly.
Personally I think it should be coperates job to tell us what items are being deleted from a shelf location & to clearance these items, as otherwise new employees dont
know what to do with these items that read "no location" legit its so frustrating to be told to fix an area up and get items that you have no idea where to put them because we have no designated spot
We have something where I work at at Home Depot if it’s been sitting on clearance for awhile it will be a penny and we have an application that shows them being that to remove them, however if a customer finds one for that, depending on the regular price but we usually let them get them but they cannot go back to the shelf and grab more of them
@ZeldaZ ZeldaZ That won't work because when the worker finds out that they are a penny (meaning to remove them) they will just go back and removed the rest from the shelves. You're the one who's not very bright. The guy literally said the penny means to remove them off the shelf. Common sense would tell you the worker will go back to were they found them and remove the rest.
i hate everything about this. i’m glad you’re saying be nice to employees if they won’t sell you something. but also, get a real job
Scalpers piss me off, no matter what it is they're peddling...but in particular, event tickets.
Foo Fighters have a good policy on this...they check ID and the name on the ticket must match the ID of the ticket holder or no entry.
I wish EVERY BAND did that.
Why is everyone in the comment section calling him a scalper. That would be like if you wanted Foo Fighter tickets, they cost 500$ and are all sold out. Then this guy comes along and sells them to you for 300$ because he found a sale and bought them for 250$. Oooh nooo, this game made 50$ selling you the tickets, You also saved 200$. No shot, you have to be a bot.
@@GamingGavel Way to miss the point. First of all, the scenario you just illustrated never happens because scalping only occurs when the artist in question draws such magnificent crowds that tickets sell out in minutes. Second, tickets for ANY event should only ever cost the face value of the ticket. Period.
Having been a working/touring musician myself, this particular behavior irks me to no end.
Concert/event tickets should never be bought and resold for profit. Ever.
@@returntozero2112 I am pretty sure I got your point. You are mad at scalpers, This guy isn't scalping. You made a post to vent, on a video that isn't about scalping, foo fighters, or event tickets.

That's called being a good employer. Imagine a greedy scam reseller calling out an honest employer that actually works for a living.
shhh u might get called a karen 😈
Employee……
@@banrap9369 i mean hes kinda being a karen, a uninformed one that doesn't understand how supply and demand works. Its like buying water for a few cents and selling it at the beach for a dollar, if people are willing to pay for it then no harm done, you're providing them with something they want. Its not scummy at all. video games are just like water for example, the value is determined by supply and demand
@@halfwaysleet you do realize a lot of people buy items from *cough*scalpers*cough* because they have no other choice? Its not at all “just like water” when you buy out all stock of fairly priced games to sell them for 5 times the original price. You can defend it every which way but its still incredibly scummy. Even if its not in terms of video games its still really scummy “business” practices that typically take advantage of desperate people that dont have any other option
@@halfwaysleet Unnecessarily Intercepting supply and turning it over for over 50% markup is nothing short of scummy and far from a necessary function of the market. Go ahead and continue to deflect the moral implications of ripping people off all you want, you can't hide those shark eyes.
Why do you buy every single one of them? There might be people who want to buy at a cheap price too... That's not cool

Because he is a reseller with low morals.
Everything is a hustle and he has to take advantage of everybody any chance he gets. He will try and take someone down on price even when he gets shit for a fraction of what they're worth.
@@Wolfstanus please explain how someone wanting to buy something at a low price so they can resell it for profit is morally low? It’s capitalism, what this country was built on. He’s putting in the effort and being rewarded for doing so.
@@gregg9725 oh yeah, lie to people on how much things are worth. Goes to conventions and begs other sellers for a better price and brings up inconsequential stuff from years ago to get a an even lower price than the alrwady low price he was already getting them at. Then immediately turns around and tries to resell it minutes after getting it in the convention both are attending.
Slavery was also capitalism. Using pinkertons to beat the shit out of protesring workers was also capitalism. Artificially raising prices on medicine durring emergencies is capitalism too.
Just because capitalism is involved doesn't mean it has high morals or is based on morals
@@Wolfstanus I’ve never watched this guy before, but the convention thing doesn’t sound that bad. If people selling the item did their due diligence, they’d know better than to sell it that much below value. Not saying it’s the most honorable thing to do but I don’t think it’s fair to act like he’s a bad guy for it. Literally the goal of someone that resells something is to make the most profit possible. At what point do you expect them to say no I don’t want a bigger profit? There’s exceptions such as taking advantage of an old confused person I suppose
I was kinda pissed to be honest because they were single handedly taking away chances for local kids to get some toys their parents may not have been able to afford otherwise. I feel the same way about you taking every one of these clearance games. What if there was a poor kid in town who could have used that game that now missed it because you took them all. Hell even middle class households like myself who just enjoy getting their kids toys(or games) at a great deal.
buy sum toys for those kids
@Pork n jeans you're missing the point. It's taking from a kid. Period. If the reseller didn't exist the kid would be able to enjoy said toy/game. But instead your 7 bucks is more important than a child's lifelong memories. Get a job
@Pork n jeans did I say taking from my kid?
@Pork n jeans Yeah so it's actually called empathy if you were looking for the word for it. What brings me into it is remembering my childhood and how much that one Nintendo game gave to me and thinking about the fact that a grown ass man making a measly 7 dollars off of taking that whole experience from a child is wrong.
@Pork n jeans so when the discount is 30 dollars as stated in the op and someone wants to make their kid smile they shouldn't because they can't afford the full price ? I swear I don't know why people are so selfish. I feel like my point is so obvious. I'm defending a kid smiling and you're defending making 7 dollars. That's why I said get a job
She couldn’t believe it was 3 Cents but she had no choice but to sell it after her Manager said sell it since its on the System for that low,its clear 3 cents because they want to get rid if the Game because its not selling and they need to clear room for space
Then why don't they make it $9999
The cost to make a CD game copy and plastic case is so cheap. They don't lose much selling for 3¢
@@zavdab5238 you think it’s Walmart to burn the disk and pack it up? Lol
$0.3 items are meant to be sent back to claims and returned to the company for credit, not sold to customers. It's not liquidation.

Thats because the 3 cent games ARE an Error, its placeholder pricing, they aren't meant to sell it at that price.

I'm learning from your channel that reselling isn't really a get rich quick scheme but it will definitely net you profits if your patient and sell large quantities.
A reseller means actually playing the game and then selling it after.
A Scalper means buying a game without playing it and selling it for a higher price.

Yeah as a Walmart employee. Every once in a while old clearance items get marked down to 1-3cents. Then we need to hunt them all down and take them to our claims office. I guess it’s just an indicator instructing us to remove them from the shelves. If some go undetected and a customer buys it the item will just become profit shrink.
With absolutely no sweat off any employees back. Why should they care?

@@TheTrueR1val what that have to do with discord>?
I would actually check the pricing with my manager just to save my ass if I ever worked retail.
Sadly she didn't check with someone who could have told her she wasn't allowed to sell items marked for 3 cents, resellers don't care if they're potentially costing people their jobs
Wouldnt want a job to fire me over there mistakes lol most likely wouldnt happen btw yall just let them have power over you
I mean as a manager, I'd be intent too. If one of my employees fucked up THAT BAD we'd definitely have to have a meeting. However don't think negative about it, bc in all my time as a manager I've noticed that we as mamagers half the time don't even know the stores current deals. Reason being is bc those markdowns come directly from corporate.
We wouldnt know the deals bc they never tell us. Most of the time we only are made aware of current deals when a customer brings a product up to us with a rediculous markdown.
my charity shop are always throwing out video games in their bin next to my local pub as they don't want to sell them anymore. Scored a PS1, PS2 and xbox games and a bunch of game accessories, while my dad got a pair of really old hallmarked silver-plated sugar tongs. Why did they throw that out?
Ugh these people make the life of people who aren’t already earning much even worse. Scalpers are annoying AF
More curious as to how quickly can you sell these? Sure you can make a $7 profit but the 3ds isn’t a high demand system.
Just curious from an outsider perspective how realistic it is to get that profit in a realistic time frame
He got the connects on kids lol 😂
3ds isn't a high demand system? All Nintendo systems are high demand. You might be surprised on how much 3ds games are going for nowadays. Just check pricecharting.
Locally? Not very realistic, with the power of online storefronts? Extremely realistic, these are all new sealed never opened they're going to sell pretty quickly especially because he can price them at an even better deal since he got them so cheap.
I got a better question... how much fuel does one use driving to all these locations just to make a few dollars in flip "profit"
If you spend 20 bucks in fuel going to each state's Wal-Mart and resell the games and only make 8 or 9 dollars per store.... ummm...
@Hooaah It's also rare for people to own GB, GBA, NES, SNES and look at the prices now. 3DS games and even units are skyrocketing now.
Imagine thinking that you're a businessman, when you do this lol
Ive worked in the electronics of walmart, mostly we just don't want to make a mistake and allow a scammer to steal from the department since it just makes our life harder.
