Love this park, I used to go here every year with my grandparents, really want to go back someday, it's a shame that pavilion park and hard rock park are no longer open, then myrtle beach would definitely become coaster destination for more coaster enthusiasts
Family Kingdom looks like a nice fun park and Swamp Fox looks amazing. Especially with this place being in Myrtle Beach and that new Funplex Park coming soon, I could definitely see a side trip out here being well worth it.
@@CanobieCoaster i just went to the funplex park and it is crazily expensive but the hamster wheel thing was fun. if you ever go on it. make sure to be careful when you are going up the lift hill for a second time through the lap because it really crushes you.
This is my home park!! I will say that slingshot supposedly failed inspection and the ferris wheel had a key component break and the park was waiting on a new part so they could rebuild the wheel with the new part, thanks for giving swamp fox the love it deserves, ive ridden it hundreds of times and it never gets old
Was in Myrtle Beach this past November. The Ferris Wheel appears to be nearly reassembled (sans gondolas). It looks more likely to return for the 2021 season.
Man this makes me sad, my family and my cousins would go here every summer, but now we’ve all gotten older and my cousins have all graduated, and it just wouldn’t be the same without them. I miss childhood😭
I saw more work being done on Swamp Fox today and I also noticed new ride supports and seats looks like a Frisbee Ride I saw it by the parks small Ferris Wheel
I’m glad you had a good experience at Family Kingdom but unfortunately this might be the park my family got screwed over with the most. Their rain policy shut the park down only an hour after it opened during the evening. The rain stopped 30 minutes afterwards and it was around 8 o’clock. The park was closed for the night. (The forecast showed clear skies on that night) We had our wristbands got on the wild mouse & Swamp Fox once, only for the planned rerides we wanted to do to never happen. We knew we were going to reride the coasters multiple times and wanted to stay during the night hours, only for those moments to not happen without any warning. There was not a single ride operator present when we returned after the rain passed by. (Nothing on social media or anything.) Plus there was no refunds either or the wristbands didn’t apply to the second day since they closed earlier than expected or anything like that. I wish they improved that policy as that is the worst moment we had at any park.
@@CanobieCoaster On the positive note, Swamp Fox was well maintained and a blast to ride. I remember riding while going through the airtime moments going “Ooo! This is good!” (Even though I wasn’t in the back row. I was in the back car if I’m correct.) Even though it doesn’t get talked about much, most enthusiasts who have ridden it talk about it in high regards. Fun fact the arcade that was closed on your visit was where we stayed while the rain was pouring down.

The parks Slingshot drop tower wasn’t open when I last went and I asked why it wasn’t and it was going through maintenance but it seems closed more often then open
Canobie Coaster The launch up is fun that’s it though I think it needs to be taken down and have a better drop ride it doesn’t seem to popular anymore anyway
It’s a shame South Carolina lost their two bigger parks the Pavilion in 2006 and Hard Rock Park during 2009 I really think South Carolina needs a park like Kentucky Kingdom considering Carowinds is mostly in North Carolina even though some parts are in South Carolina
It's fascinating how Hard Rock Park and Myrtle Beach Pavilion where much bigger than this place and yet this is the only park in town that is still in operation.
Don’t forget Gay Dolphin Park! (OK, it was small, with just one wild mouse, but it’s a shame the park didn’t make it past 1968, just for that name alone!)

I was disappointed Slingshot was closed for the view, but I rode the same model at the Adventuredome and it was quite weak.

Twist & Shout was good for a ride each day, but most of my time was spent on Swamp Fox.
Looks like a less nice version of Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
I think Swamp Fox is better than Giant Dipper, but Santa Cruz as a whole is better.
