Is it best to use analog signal or pwm on big vfds and motor setup? Is there a mix combined application between these two when it comes to spindle speed and positioning?

Neither Analogue or PWM give you spindle positioning, they only provide speed.
It would depend on your spindle which is better for you.

@@cncnutzmassoedition9131 I think not only speed is that they must provide. If we talk about a lathes spindle that act like 4th when needed the things are not very clear yet I think about the connections.
