Sooga wasn't just his best lackey. He was the son Master Kohga never had. And it tore him apart to leave him behind. That is why he went to Princess Zelda. That's why he cried when he saw the King and his daughter having that beautiful moment at the temple. He knows that love all too well.

It's sad because Kohga probably meant what he said about the banana in a tongue-in-cheek bantery sort of way and probably hasn't thought about it since, but Sooga took it to heart and dedicated his life trying to repay Kohga for that one simple favor that saved his life.

Sooga probably died either by Astor or during that 100 years and all Champions are killed by the Blights. The Age of Calamity is a continuation timeline where Terrako goes back in time and saved many many situations and prevented so many deaths which created a whole different fate.

You know a playable Character in a game/DLC is REALLY GOOD on capitals when
1: They aren't featured in any trailer or promotional material at all, when it's a fan-favourite.
2: Has a unique banger of a theme that always overshadows the stage theme every time they SPAWN, not by just being close to them
    3. It's boss character that not only breaks the rule of a Boss is nerfed when they join your party, but goes beyond that by having things that makes his boss counterpart looking like lacks on everything.
    4. The fact that in order to unlock him you have to EARN IT, they aren't just "hey here you have it that character that you liked so much but it wasn't playable before" or a bland reward for just beating or completing the story/DLC, you have to play GOOD to unlock it on a single mision , which is basically like the devs are telling "you didn't paid to get rewarded you paid to play more and get rewarded for that" which what it always should be.
    5. He becomes playable out of nowhere without any warning at all, he doesn't appear as you could select him and the fact that in the instant he is controllable his theme OVERSHADOWS the menacing and despair giving song was playing throughout the entire chapter
    6. Every single one of it's animations and attacks are exaggerated and over the top
    7. And definitely the best of all, the fact that instead of the same notification type sound it plays every time a character becomes playable, Sooga straight up plays the intro of his theme.
Hands down to the best and most badass character ever created in the warriors and LoZ franchise

I just think/hope he was injured to the point he couldn’t fight for the rest of the events, likely returning to the hideout to heal. The clan there would probably have to restrain him to prevent him from returning to Master Kohga. When Kohga says he wants revenge for Sooga, that doesn’t necessarily mean he died. His best lackey was taken out of the fight, with grievous injuries. Kohga wants to return the favor. This is just me hoping my favorite character survives, even if he doesn’t show up in the actual game.

I’m glad they really go in depth and try to explain why the Yiga clan has so much respect for Master Khoga. Sooga is willing to sacrifice himself not because he was told Khoga is a great leader, but because he KNOWS Khoga is a great leader. Good leaders aren’t always exceptional fighters or even that intelligent. We don’t really respect Khoga since he shows himself as a blundering dummy surrounded by raging warriors. But maybe his hateful subordinates could learn a bit from Khoga’s kindness, even if he himself has trouble showing it.

Maybe the Sheikah and the Yiga have a longer average lifespan than typical people, ya know kind of like the Zora do. That might be why he didn't really age, because in one hundred years the Zora prince Sidon aged from a little kid to only a young adult, not an elderly person.

2 Yiga Footsoldiers: What’s your problem, little rat?
Sooga (idk how) many years later: Who are the rats now?
Honestly, this cutscene was sad. Sooga was poor and needed food and encountered the Yiga. The 2 soldiers treated him like shit, but Kohga accepted him and it was the right choice. It’s more of a mystery of how old Sooga was and if he had parents or not and if he was Sheikah or Hylian or maybe a child of a Yiga soldier. But it seems like we know that he’s alive given the fact that he’s playable. I assume that maybe he was recovering after fighting off the Blight Ganon’s in the hideout and he’s seen alive in “The Battle of Fort Hateno” where Kohga orders the Yiga clan to fight the guardian scout Is and Sooga appears. I do hope we can see him in breath of the wild 2 and learn where he was during that time and we need a whole more backstory of him and other characters maybe in a 3rd age of calamity dlc as I feel like there should be some main missions after Calamity Ganon’s defeat. I also want and wish Astor was playable but it’s still possible as they never said that the second wave would be the last dlc. Maybe BOTW 2 will release either in March-December of 2022 so that’ll be a perfect timing before or after it comes out to conclude age of calamity. Thoughts on all of this?

I'm pretty sure that Sooga is dead. For starters, the challenges are non-canon, because it is explained with the first ever challenge (the practicing remote bombs one) that these are other worlds that we can go to through terrako. So, the Siege of Fort Hateno is non-canon. Also, being a playable character doesn't mean the Sooga is alive. We have Calamity Ganon as playable, but it is definitely dead and sealed away. For the end credits, they may have just added him in just for a cameo, but that is just speculation. I really like Sooga, but it just doesn't seem like he is alive.

That move was likely a last resort hidden technique of the Yiga, virtually unused as it seems to be powered by the vitality of the user, making it both incredibly strong but also very dangerous. And yet, Sooga used it when he was already too weak to stand, stood up and drew his swords smooth as butter like it was nothing to him, and proceeded to give all four Blights Hell long enough for Master Kohga to make it to Zelda.
All because Kohga stopped his minions from hurting or killing a little boy who just wanted to survive, and gave him the banana that let him do it.

Ok, I've got a theory and I would like to share it with you. Let's start by saying that I think that while Sooga was facing the Blight Ganons, Astor went to Fort Hateno to stop Zelda and Link (Mission: Each Step Like Thunder - Chapter 6). When he arrived, he summoned the Blight Ganons and attacked them. However, I think that Astor didn't create other Blight Ganons, but he simply teleported to Fort Hateno the ones who were fighting against Sooga, who then managed to escape and survive. What do you think about it? Is it possible? (I'm sorry if I made some grammatical mistakes, I'm not English😅)

One of the is evidently injured while the other one is a captain. In another cutscene Kohga disguises himself as a captain in order to be able to talk to Zelda, so my question is: Could it be possible that the soldier in the first cutscene is the same one of the second cutscene? In my opinion Sooga was able to escape and rejoined Kohga and then they both headed to Hateno.

This fully explains the Yiga Clan’s undying loyalty to Kohga AND their reason for hating the rest of Hyrule to the point they’d ally with Ganon(dorf). People like Sooga probably would never have defected to Ganon’s side if Hyrulian society actually gave a s**t about them. Instead of praising the Shiekah as heroes for the last time their incredible technology curbstomped Ganon, they were feared and ostracized, left to fend for themselves. Of course this would leave a faction of them so bitter they’d rebel and defect. Sooga himself was a starving orphan, most likely lost by the system, perhaps even a Shiekah who had been chased since the Shiekah were only recently (by Zelda’s era) reintroduced/accepted by society. Kohga was probably the first and only person who showed him genuine kindness in a long time, not caring about Sooga’s origins a lot. Who knows how many other Yiga were recruited under similar circumstances?
I’m not saying Kogha and the Yiga are right to join the likes of Ganon in destroying Hyrule, but they have a point. They and extremists groups like them are the consequence of fear-mongering and prejudice. Treating people like monsters is what can make someone a monster. But if you give them respect, they’ll surprise you.

    • @Delukatio
      @Delukatio  ปีที่แล้ว

Yeah it explains a lot of the Yiga's actions. Only strange thing is that they'd hold onto these beliefs for 10,000 years but yeah i'd imagine once a belief system is established it'd be pretty easy to pass down generations, especially with how closely knit the Yiga are.
