Finding the right place for us to settle down and where to move definitely, is our main priority right now. Living in Sweden is obviously something we are considering given the many factors that we present in this video.

My husband and I have lived in Chicago our whole lives. Now that we are almost 50, we are realizing how badly the cold affects our emotions, joints, etc. Our families are here, and our children live here, but we want to explore moving to a three-season climate to avoid winter entirely...or even warmer than that. I'm telling you this because I used to think that as I got older and had a family of my own, I would become acclimated to the weather. It was actually the opposite, affecting me (and my achy bones) more than ever. Just sharing my two cents of wisdom. Perhaps the Amalfi/Tuscan region Italy is an option for you? Or Southern France, Cyprus or the Spanish Riviera? Still European and fairly close to your families, yet warmer and sunnier. Wishing you both safe travels as you search for your next home!
I would suggest Portugal, cheaper than many western countries and the weather is warm and nice!
I agree. Now that I am 81, I am happy to live in a subtropical climate and not in Germany with a dark long winter, locked up in an apartment. We left 35 yrs ago. Cold weather is not good for arthritis, which affects most older people.
I have been living in Chicago since I born & I’m already annoyed of the cold.
@@amaryllislady8795 I am German and I like the German winter, I like the seasons. All day long only warm, mild climate and sun is a bit boring, isn't it? But I understand that with arthritis you naturally want to be in a warm climate.
South France is the dream,laid back sleepy towns great summers mildish winters I recommend Provence -alpes cote de azures … utterly stunning ❤

Hi guys lovely video as always, I can see why you would want to live in Sweden and all, the average salary is much better than the salary here in Seychelles and that's a fact. I was wondering about the weather too, in fact the way Nathalie described the weather in Sweden made me think of the weather in Melbourne Australia, only in Melbourne tye weather changes hourly and not weekly, it might be nice and sunny one moment and the next moment it's cold and chilly 🥶🥶. I think I wouldn't like the Swedish weather either though I'm sure it's beautiful there, maybe I might even visit one day who knows. Anyways best of luck in finding a new home and I look forward to check out other places you plan to visit.
You can always live in Queensland. We left Germany 35 yrs ago because of the dark grey winters there. Now in my old age I am horrified to think about myself spending all winter locked up in a flat in Germany.

@@gpierre90 Yes, Queensland is nice, but I think the Seychelles must be paradise. Now I am too old to visit there. I thought you were from Melbourne. Melbourne really has weather changes like Sweden, one day hot, next day freezing cold. Better to stay in your paradise.
@@amaryllislady8795 I live in Seychelles, but I have visited Melbourne Sydney Perth and even Kalgoorlie, which is how I know about the weather in Melbourne. But eventhough I'm use to Seychelles weather I love travelling and its good to once in a while experience something different.

Why not at Lufthansa, where there are many stewardesses who live in other countries and only come to Frankfurt for the Lufthansa flight, fly long haul once and then fly back to their countries until the next long haul. That is very stressful but there are some who do it. You two would have to fly from Sweden to Dubai every time to fly for emirates! And I think living in Dubai in this artificial city is a bit boring in the long run, isn't it?

I love Sweden and would for sure consider living there if my life was different. If I was younger I would for sure be looking for a way to get out of the US and Sweden is one place I'd look at. Any place that is hot and humid most of the time, is not for me.
Wondering if you ever visited Singapore? It is a tropical country, so no weather issue. And there are more than 1,000 varieties of food there lol.

We both visited Cape Town and had an amazing time by exploring the city and nature, with Cope of Good Hope, Table mountain 🏔️ etc.. 🙌🏼✨

Hi i really enjoy your videos. You should come to cyprus which is a mediterranean island that has lots of sun. There are beautiful beaches and a lovely mountain and most important the weather is perfect. Winter doesn't have a lot of rain and most days are sunny
You could try and go to Switzerland. After all I've seen about you I'd say that Switzerland might be a nice spot to live at.
I don’t living in Dubai is practical. Living in Sweden would be a solid move. Being a young couple children are in your future. Sweden has a wonderful support system for Families. It’s home for one of you and it makes it comfortable. Give it thought.

This might be a silly question but.. would you not have decided what to do and where to live before quiting your careers? I think from watching your Mexico videos there was a realization that a huge mistake was made. Sometimes there are too many options (I am currently experiencing a similar dilema) and the difference between a holiday and a permanent move is huge. Living from a suitcase is not an option either despite how glamorous it may sound.
You are right on the fact that living in a bag it can be uncomfortable if done for a long-ish period of time, however the decision on where to live was quite difficult to make while still working and living in Dubai, also while investing all our time in our projects. With the following videos you might see interesting things coming up, that we hope you’ll enjoy 🙌🏼 Simplifying may be a key 🔑☮️
@@SensetheLens The "problem" we have is that we have too many options and a longing to be somewhere else that "might" be better whilst ending up chasing a perfection that does not exist. I will definitely keep an eye on your future endeavors and see if it provides some inspiration on where I end up living and investing in the near future. Absolutely, couldn’t agree with you more that this is a fact that happens many times. We have been talking about it together and don’t want to fall in that trap of searching for a perfection that doesn’t exist. While keeping this in mind, we still feel the wish to explore other places of the world to see how we feel there. We might find our sweet spot somewhere we never thought, or maybe we’ll understand that “home” is actually where we were born and we’ll go back to either Sweden or Italy. Either way, we do this journey with our hearts full of love and excitement and are so happy to share all of it with you 😌🙌🏼
@@SensetheLens Your home country becomes small and claustrophobic after traveling the world, that's what I feel anyway. It's almost anticlimactic. The cliché of the journey being more important that the eventual destination might suit your lifestyle at the moment. I am sure you will find what you are looking for and hopefully your videos save me some searching time 😅

Live there is a real privilege especially in our era ........take this privilege for you....... till it exists! The weather still affects you when you are older. We left Germany 35 yrs ago because of the weather. Before we lived in warmer climate countries and couldn't cope with the dark winter month. So after 4 yrs in Germany, the whole family decided to emigrate. Now I am 81 yrs and living in a subtropical climate. No way I could cope with a long winter in Germany locked up in an apartment.
