I know this is a book trailer but this is what I thought the movie would be like not this kiddish fantasy land and in the movie trailer they left out the grandfather and how he started this whole thing. The grandfather is important part to the book and I hope they don't leave him out.

So I was surprised that there was a bunch of bright colors and happy songs in the actual trailer. I hope they'll release a second trailer that has the kind of tone as this book trailer.

This amazing book has inspired me to start collecting old and eerie photographs as well, and write my own stories about them. I really loved the book and couldn't put it away for a single second! The trailer of this book is just as amazing! It was eerie and beautifully accompanied by Danny Elfman's wonderful music! Knowing Tim Burton will be the one to direct this movie, I have full faith in it being a masterpiece!
This is a haunting trailer for a haunting book. The gentleman in the video is an excellent actor-- really sold the story for me, along with the excellent imagery.
This was SUCH a fascinating book. I finished it in two hours, sitting in the bathtub, after downloading it to my Nook today. It was beautifully written, with a tale that not only gives you chills, but also sends your mind wildly craving more. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

That little photograph tease at the end with the shocked girl in front of the coffin confused me, but I'm definitely sure the third book will be just as good as the first two.

I'm reading this book for a book club I'm in, and from the descriptions I got, I picked up "Time shenanigans and possibly ghosty children, and also creepy pictures". So of course I had to read it. Three of my favorite things right there. Write a whole parody song of "My favorite things" from the Sound of Music, put those in there. Anyway, so I read it, and like dude I almost never read books. I always get distracted. I'm a bit of a slow reader. I often have to scan the page a full other time or two to actually take all the information in. This? I read the whole thing in one go. 10 or more straight hours of reading. I was up until 2 or 3. I'm reading it again while I still have it from the library. I've flipped through the graphic novel version probably more than 5 times already. I love this book, and it's my new favorite, and I'm awaiting the arrival of the second book to our local library through the system. It was so easy to read and get caught up in, even for me, as someone who struggles a lot with getting myself to read books. In short, I don't care what you're doing right now, get up, buy this book, and read it, if you haven't already. Show the book to all of your friends. Have them show it to their friends. Bring the hype of this book up as much as possible and never let the fanbase for this wonderful book die.
John Green's Paper Towns is being made into a film and being released on the date that Home for Peculiars was going to be, meaning this one's going to be pushed into 2016 :(
