1) sukuna mentioned that taking purple would be fatal to him which would mean that he wouldn't be able even to fight let alone using cleave after getting hit by purple. 2) low on output, CE, RCT and badly injured means that he wouldn't be able to fight efficiently anymore and yet he was able to do an asspull moment to cut through space 3) GOJO recovered his output, CE, RCT in chapter 235 which would mean he could finish sukuna at that moment. Furthermore it shows that GOJO was already winning but chapter 236 suddenly cut to him getting off screen and a dumb explanation of sukuna being able to cut through the world. 🤣 4) GOJO has the highest potential than any of the jujutsu sorcerers and was constantly hyped up as the strongest sorcerer. You can't just seal him and unseal him without letting him contribute to the plot with little to no impact and then let him die it's random. What happened to the character who calls Sukuna a challenger? Giving him off screen death and having him glazing over sukuna is also completely disrespectful and out of character. Gege's somehow retconned the narrative to save Sukuna's face and reputation as "King of Curses" in the story. I mean the way narrative tells, Mahoraga is the reason why Sukuna found his victory, the general do the 90% of the work, to the point whenever he wins, he will be label as a fraud. When you want your villain to be the strongest, don't give him OP allies when fighting the also strong character, it devalues his strength. Gege really corners himself on this one. Maybe somewhere in alternate universe, there was a fight when Sukuna and Gojo will be declared by everyone as the best fight in manga history. A very close fight which is legendary; using only their own strength and abilities, going all out, outsmarting each other. And in the end of the fight, the readers can say "Wow! Gojo really is the honoured one but Sukuna without a doubt, is the strongest and greatest sorcerer of all time, the King of Curses!" But sadly the one we got is very dissapointing. It's sad the fight did not live to it's potential.
I do think the fight has flaws, but the whole point of Mahoraga was that Sukuna was just using it and Gojo to get himself an upgrade to his CT. All things considered, the fight was supposed to be over during the 1st round: during the final DE clash, Sukuna could change into his Heian era form, get a full heal, expanding his domain and crashing Gojo's again (either adapting to it with a biding vow or just overpowering it through constant chanting as his heian form allows). Even after that point Sukuna could just pop his Heian form and murder Gojo with his domain, since Gojo was fully burned out at that point. The only reasons that did not happen were: 1. Sukuna was aware that everyone would wait to jump him the moment the fight was over, so he wanted a backup to fully heal himself; 2. By using Mahoraga, he could get a slash to negate infinity, so now he has a counter to this specific ability and anything similar to it. This isn't to say Sukuna was playing around Gojo, and there were strategic reasons for fighting the way he did, but truth is, Sukuna did hold back.
To be fair I don't think its a retcon since if we remember this isn't Gojo's story to begin with this is the story of Yuji's perspective so if anything he was gonna lose regardless or else there wouldn't be a real point to the story starting OFF with Yuji.

Loved this, I can appreciate the reference to Yuji's black flash that he did against Eso, which with how Gojo was posing like he was charging his cursed energy into that punch kinda looked like when Yuji did his divergent fist against Eso too, tho i prefer a faster paced edit this one has a more chill vibe and the colors really glow nicely which is a nice contrast to the monotone black and white manga panels and lastly I just have to say there are some great vfx in this animation with the reversal red and the limitless black flash. which I'm actually glad you also but the blue streaks in there to indicate that the punch wasn't just a black flash but it was infused with his blue technique which is the reason for the Dharmachakra to have spun. really beautiful work here, keep it up👍👍💯💪

With the concept that Gojo uses the Limitless technique to attack with the power of Infinity, along with his own cursed technique that just amplifies and pulls things together like a vacuum, imagine boosting the exponential power of Black Flash with the concept of Infinity, boosted by Blue pulling Sukuna further into the Infinity, just for Infinity to push him back again. Even if he were holding back, getting succ'd into what is basically a propelling forcefield coupled with an exponential power boost of a critical hit has got to do some lasting damage, even in his original body.
I like yours better, here is why: The way when gojo charges his blue the look of it and the look of the red charging aswell are just a nice display of beautiful vfx. when the black flash actually connect you can really feel the impact of the black flash is fast and it just shows how badly gojo blitzes sukuna. Lets not forget that some of the panels you animate are also tweaked by you drawing your own yet its barely noticeable. and lastly the length of your manga animations are insane, because i know how hard it is making a manga animation (i have before but it looked bad so i never posted it) for you to be making one as long as you did is insane on its own keep it up fr.

This is worth getting spoiled, it's pretty cool. Although, I have already been spoiled how the fight is gonna end, so it isn't like it matters anymore.
Spoiler: The only reason gojo lost to sukuna was because he was not the main character, and the author didnt like him (if it is true). There was a risk for sukuna here where he could actually lose. Sukuna isn't shown to be dumb where he sits on his better moves just to not go all out against gojo. It will make even less sense for sukuna to lose to someone else in the anime considering they're no where near as gojo. With how things have turned out to be, if sukuna doesn't win against everyone then it'll be poor writing. Not that it currently isn't. There were loads of people who kept saying gege drew the manga into a corner by making gojo so strong. Now, it also applies to sukuna. It's most likely just me, but I'm not feeling any kind of spark while reading the new chapters these days. Anything you throw at sukuna, he reverses it back to you. Meh

But, it was also said that it'd be disadvantageous for Sukuna to use his true form against sorcerers, especially one of Satoru's caliber. The fire arrow would've been meaningless against Satoru's infinity. The only way to win against Satoru was to cheat using Mahoraga, and even then, the odds of just creating something convenient because you have a blueprint is hella unrealistic. If you are up-to-date with the manga and also have read the latest spoilers, it is pretty much clear that every convenient situation for Sukuna is being explained by a binding vow. That's just poor writing. The writer drew themselves into a corner by writing an overpowered character like Satoru, and now that he's gone, Sukuna has replaced him in that sense. It'd have made more sense if Sukuna slashed him while Mahoraga "paused" infinity. A move like the world cutter slash is a stupid and convenient tool that was invented just to get rid of Satoru. And this happened, only because the author HATED Satoru. The manga itself had the words along the lines of "The king of curses felt fear for the first time" or something similar. This is worth getting spoiled, it's pretty cool. Although, I have already been spoiled how the fight is gonna end, so it isn't like it matters anymore.

The only reason gojo lost to sukuna was because he was not the main character, and the author didnt like him (if it is true). There was a risk for sukuna here where he could actually lose. Sukuna isn't shown to be dumb where he sits on his better moves just to not go all out against gojo. It will make even less sense for sukuna to lose to someone else in the anime considering they're no where near as gojo. With how things have turned out to be, if sukuna doesn't win against everyone then it'll be poor writing. Not that it currently isn't.
There were loads of people who kept saying gege drew the manga into a corner by making gojo so strong. Now, it also applies to sukuna. It's most likely just me, but I'm not feeling any kind of spark while reading the new chapters these days. Anything you throw at sukuna, he reverses it back to you. Meh

@@L33_69 Just because Gojo "thought" something and said that, it does not mean reality is based on that. It is true in the sense that Sukuna did not use the fire arrow and his true form. But, it was also said that it'd be disadvantageous for Sukuna to use his true form against sorcerers, especially one of Satoru's caliber.
The fire arrow would've been meaningless against Satoru's infinity. The only way to win against Satoru was to cheat using Mahoraga, and even then, the odds of just creating something convenient because you have a blueprint is hella unrealistic. If you are up-to-date with the manga and also have read the latest spoilers, it is pretty much clear that every convenient situation for Sukuna is being explained by a binding vow. That's just poor writing. The writer drew themselves into a corner by writing an overpowered character like Satoru, and now that he's gone, Sukuna has replaced him in that sense.
It'd have made more sense if Sukuna slashed him while Mahoraga "paused" infinity. A move like the world cutter slash is a stupid and convenient tool that was invented just to get rid of Satoru. And this happened, only because the author HATED Satoru.
The manga itself had the words along the lines of "The king of curses felt fear for the first time" or something similar. Anyhow, if you cannot see the point I am trying to make, then that's your problem. Not mine, lol.

Sukuna never Held back, he needed perparation time just like Toji, he was holding back his cursed technique, because he knew he couldnt bypass Infinity unless mahoraga adapted or he used world slash, which is why he didnt use fire arrow or cleave.

Gojo is definitely the highlight of the fight he may have lost, but it's still incredible how much pushed Sukuna despite having the knowledge and hostage advantage over Gojo, he really only lost due to plot, because he would have won back when Sukuna was still at 16 fingers.
