She is 6 and has to go for intense radiation next week for a mass on her front leg. Apparently the CT scan shows it's the size of a basketball, although we can only see the outside of it. The doctor said be hopeful but be prepared….
Shonagh Eldering I lost twin littermates two years ago. Their names were Peanut and Oreo. They were special needs girls and I was told they would probably only live to five years old. They both saw their tenth birthday. I also had Rappunzel ( Bonehead) and Petunia. I loved and miss them all. God bless you.
This litter actually did really well. We made sure to weigh the pups several times a day to make sure they were gaining weight. They all were born at about 16 ounces and consistently gained 1 pound a week. We did do some supplemental feedings but not too much. Bullseye is just such an awesome mother. All of these pups are now over 4 years old and have wonderful families. As far as your unkind comment, when a mom has 11 pups what choice do you have? They need to nurse and you need to take care of them. I guess you wouldn't understand that responsibility. That's why we were so picky about who these pups went to. We checked out all of our families and did home inspections. A lot of people got turned down.
OooHhhh!!!! Unkind comment?? When you throw 11 pups on 10 teats!!! My choice would be to let half the litter nurse at one time. You stating what responsibility I wouldn't understand when you have shown exactly what you want us to understand, forcing 11 pups on 10 teats for the pups to struggle to nurse!!
Nothing like a mother's love!
God bless you Shonagh! We lost our 14 year old Bassett a month ago and it still hurts!

What little sweethearts!! Makes me think of my Chloe, who we are slowly losing as we speak. God bless these babies and Momma too!!
Oh, I'm sorry to hear about your Chloe. How old is she?

It looks like there are three Peanuts and five Oreos in this litter. They are beautiful. Those were the names of my last two bassets.
I stand corrected. Three Peanuts and eight Oreos.
Poor mom, no one can give her a hand and help her out 😢😢😢😢
Belly up to the bar everyone!
Щенков в 2 раза больше, чем сисек. Хозяин должен обеспечить очерёдность.

You should let those tiny ones eat first.
The runts don't have the strength like the gluttons have.
Poor mom
11 pups unleashed on mama dog with only 10 teats. You are cruel.
It's just a puppy factory , what do you expect ..
OH! my, that's the way to let dogs nurse you are telling us? 11 pups on 10 teats? I for one would not want a pup you raised.
