So pretty ❤ I have the white princess and a red emerald, they're both about 6 ft tall now. I love how pretty the vareigation is on the leaves. Thanks for sharing your with us❤
bro that plant is gorgeous and the way to fix the tipping over is by buying a little bit larger pot and placing a large rock or brick in the bottom. every single tall plant I own has a brick at the bottom. none of them tip anymore. yes they weigh a little more to move around but my cats are jumpers and my plants were being damaged before when they were too light weight.. or... use heavy ceramic pots.. another option.
Beautiful plants. I love the bonded. I have never had spidermites but I think DE fights them. Use a big makeup brush and dab the diatomaceous earth all on the leaves. Less messy and it targeting
So sorry to hear about the spider mites! I am with you on wanting to match pots that can be challenging to do. Great video and beautiful pink princess.
I know I am late, but Costa Farms has been pitting out amazing ppp through home depot for dirt cheap. I got one and it was two mature, well variegated plants ans a tiny 3 inch pup. The plarger plants are putting out crazy color. For $13****
Hello! Just wanted to let you know that systemic granules don’t treat spider mites, I actually heard they can cause them 😩😅 I use AzaMax for spider mites.
Thank you for confirming! I know the packaging doesn’t mention treating spider mites, but I guess people are saying that it still works. 🤷🏻♂️ Oh well…. And thank you for the suggestion! I’ll look into AzaMax 😊
That’s a beautiful Pink philodendron you have really grown that plant fast in 14 months , it’s so happy , great video, im actually looking for one to purchase . I hope mine have the beautiful pink leaves , like yours . Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for sharing this video .... I just purchased my first pink princess, it was just starting to push one leaf on top when I bought it and when I get it home I noticed it has another smaller one at the bottom starting to come out. I would say it's about maybe a foot high, I wouldn't say it has tremendous pink areas but there are some. I think I'm going to try and propogate it in the near future. I'm going to check out some of your other videos and Instagram. Btw I'm in Ontario Canada ;)
She looks perfect next to the fiddle fig tree. Thanks for sharing this video. I have these tiny brown bugs on my Hoya plant. I'll have to look up what a spider mites look like.
Neem oil, not sprayed! Water everything with neem oil and anything that feeds off the plants will die. I water with it more often in the summer, we have many thrips from the neighbors and I just almost gave up on having plants until I found out you can just water with it.
How long did it take to get that tall? I have had three of these for about six months. They were in 4 inch pots when I got them and they each had about 5 small leaves each. The largest leaves are now about six inches long and the stalk is about five inches tall. I hope I can get them to grow as tall as yours!
Mites are not affected by the usual insecticide. They need miticide. Many insecticides also make them worse and produce more. You need things like spinosad and azadirachtin. Those have an effect on spidermites. Also, completely replacing the soil and disinfecting the roots should help, but if you had spidermites on one plant, you'll likely see them on others even if there is not an infestation.
I hope you found some better pest control! If not I'd try Arber insecticide and miticide, it's seriously amazing and much safer for you to handle. Take care.
I had spider mites pretty bad on 3 Alocasia’s and the only thing that worked for me was a solution I mixed. Bonner Castile soap 1/3 cup, 1 tablespoon of neem oil, 10 drops of essential peppermint oil and 16 oz of distilled water. It took maybe 3 or 4 treatments once a week of this mix. Also I had to repot those plants because I think the spider mites were laying eggs in the old soil!
At the time it was a 2” pot 😳 with 2 plants in the pot from the shop Peace Love & Happiness Club-I have an unboxing video on my channel! I believe I paid about $80 for it 😵💫. Now you can find them in grocery stores for $30 for a 6” pot! 🤷🏻♂️
Hi! No, so far I’ve used it about once every 1-2 months, but that’s because I was trying to treat the spider mites. However, someone commented that it doesn’t actually treat spider mites! 😳 Still, I haven’t seen any negative effects on my plants.
Ah yes, the chop & extend method! It makes me nervous having to switch to a sphagnum moss pole because keeping it moist in my dry climate would be a challenge, and sphag can get expensive. But I’ll try that method one day! Mature leaves are so 🤌🏼
You and me both learning this the hard way! 😭 Seems like there isn’t a systemic for mites. All the mite treatments I’m seeing are sprays, which takes more effort. 🤷🏻♂️ Lol oh well…
Pot sizes are always a bit of a tightrope. Too large, and the roots sit in too much water and risk rot. Too small, and the roots have absorbed all the potting medium and only a tight rootball remains, which will be unable to absorb nutrients and water. Regarding the mites…my best success is with horticultural soap and sulphur based products, plus diatomaceous earth on the top of the potting medium. Plus….patience, as mites are incredibly persistent and hardy against most products (if applied only once or twice) Addendum: any time you have an infestation of any kind…please don’t reuse the potting medium. Always discard soil/potting medium to prevent reinfestation. Sometimes it’s better safe than sorry.
Beautiful PPP! It's nice to see that the variegations improved as it matures! That gives me hope 😁
With larger plants use ceramic planters to put nursery pot in and it looks nicer too
So pretty ❤ I have the white princess and a red emerald, they're both about 6 ft tall now. I love how pretty the vareigation is on the leaves. Thanks for sharing your with us❤
6ft tall 😱😍 oh my

Such a pretty pink princess! Makes me want to try again and repurchase one! 🙈 Thank you for the video!
You should! 😆

It’s crazy how quickly a plant can go from “rare” to “common” 😆 Beautiful plant nevertheless!
Gosh that is a beautiful PPP!! Mines is so small like when you got yours. I can’t wait to see my beauty grow like this!

Dr. Earth is truly amazing for pest control
I use it and its pretty effective.
Your plants are beautiful ❤️
Imagine chopping that up and putting it in a pot. That would be gorgeous!
What a GORGEOUS Pink Princess!!! I chopped mine in the hopes for better variegation. Fingers crossed!
That’s a beautiful Pink philodendron you have really grown that plant fast in 14 months , it’s so happy , great video, im actually looking for one to purchase . I hope mine have the beautiful pink leaves , like yours . Thanks for sharing 😊
Can’t wait to see what your knew plant is!
I've had mine for 8-10 months and it's only grown like 3 leaves.
he did say his took off when he repotted it. I'm gonna do that to mine cause I want it big like that one.
Thanks for sharing this video .... I just got my first PPP at the same shop! Definitely hoping mine looks like that in a year!
That’s a great new location , by the fiddle leaf fig. I’ll be looking coward to your next video of propagation
My pink princess has gotten tall but the lower leafs always dye off, what should I do?
She looks perfect next to the fiddle fig tree. Thanks for sharing this video. I have these tiny brown bugs on my Hoya plant. I'll have to look up what a spider mites look like.
Uh oh! You’ll know they are spider mites if you see some fine webbing on the leaves. Hope your Hoya is alright!
Neem oil, not sprayed! Water everything with neem oil and anything that feeds off the plants will die. I water with it more often in the summer, we have many thrips from the neighbors and I just almost gave up on having plants until I found out you can just water with it.
That's impressive and inspiring. Thanks
The spider mites are probably living in the roots too. Just redo the whole plant and wash off all the root and start all over.
Your Pink Princess loos fantastic.

When battling spider mites repotting is almost a must if an infestation is oncoming

Did you use this on the leaves, or water with it?
Sprayed on the leaves or watered the soil with this mix?TIA!
So beautiful ppp
Wow! SO pretty
Has your plant always been under the grow light since you purchased it? & do you give it plant food?
First time seeing PPP on its full height.
Mines not making any progress so far 😢does it get dormant ??
Wow ❤
Peace love happiness club is so good. Kent east hill is awesome too
Oooooh I’ll have to check out Kent East Hill! 😊
Where did you purchase you plant if your don't mind me asking and what did you pay for ir?
At the time it was a 2” pot 😳 with 2 plants in the pot from the shop Peace Love & Happiness Club-I have an unboxing video on my channel! I believe I paid about $80 for it 😵💫. Now you can find them in grocery stores for $30 for a 6” pot! 🤷🏻♂️
Hi!!! Are you adding the liquid systemic every watering?
Hi! No, so far I’ve used it about once every 1-2 months, but that’s because I was trying to treat the spider mites. However, someone commented that it doesn’t actually treat spider mites! 😳 Still, I haven’t seen any negative effects on my plants.
hello! What do you do to get that pink color? lots of lighting?
Hi! Yes! When you give lots of bright light, the leaves get larger, hence larger pink “splotches”
Use a pro zap pest strip. All bugs disappear.
Do they treat scale?
which growlight you use?
I have a video on one of the grow lights that I use:

Where did you get that white stand behind you?
IKEA VITTSJÖ shelves! 😊
Looking great! Thanks for sharing. ❤

FYI if your using Bonide systemic it not for spider mites. I learned this the hard way. I just assumed it was for mites. Gorgeous PPP 😍💚

Tipped over *many times but didn't do anything or put a heavy material or thing beside it to prevent it from falling again 🙃
Is there a reason you don’t trim off the leaves when damaged by the spider mites? What would it cause if you did take those off?
If I trimmed, it would probably focus more energy into producing new leaves at the top, but then the plant would look bare.
