Very cool collection, you don’t see much Robotech nowadays, especially carded or complete in this condition. Definitely one of my favorite shows as a kid!
For real! Robotech felt so much more mature to me when it started airing. The serialized storytelling was really impactful to me as well. I finally sat down and watched the entire first Robotech Macross series last winter and had a great time. Tried to do the same thing with the original Voltron and didn't make it far into it.
I like re-released toys. I always worry as a toy seller will these vintage items phase out and will kids, 10-20 years from now, even collect toys like we do as adults now. So re-releases I hope help with future collectors and even adult collectors now get into the hobby at a better price point. It makes sense that people will always want the first thing but in the end it'll come down to what we grew up with otherwise more people be collecting tin toys, spinning tops and kites.
Completely agree. I know the Star Wars and Indy retro lines get a lot of hate, but as someone who keeps their toys mint on card, these are the closest things I’ll get to vintage without paying crazy prices. I got hold of the 40th anniversary G1 Optimus Prime a few months back and I love it.

All I collect is Robotech toys. I've been at it for about 6 years. I am always watching, I'm patient, and I find the good deals, and yeah, that stuff is common and not very valuable. You can always find the occasional high spender paying a lot for a piece, but you can also always find them cheap. $800 for the Robotech stuff we saw on camera is too much, not a very good buy for the store! The boxed battle pod is $100 tops, the Veritech you could get over $100, but you can also find them for less, and the landing gear was broken so it is not anything to write home about even though it was nearly complete. The hovercraft, even in open box, you will see go for $35 frequently. And the carded figures do sometimes sell for $30, but they also sometimes sell for $15. The Minmei is rarer in the USA, but probably because not as many people want her, so sells for more but possibly harder to sell. I did not see a carded 6" Miriya and that (next to Lunk) is probably the rarest.
