I have many questions about this game.
-Is it going to be a solo experience or more of a coop one?
_From the way this game is played in this teaser, I'd say solo._
    -Is the game scripted?
By that, I mean: _For example._ Are the positions of the entities pre-determined by where you are or can they spawn within said area to different spots?
Will the physics engine get used to complete puzzles/steps?
_It would be a shame to not use such a cool feature in a "horror" game._
The video sounds a tad bit bland, it is an *early* teaser, so I assume you're only giving a small glimpse of all the possibilities and features yoi have in mind.
Will you have OSTs or will you rather double down on the eerie ambiance and feeling of the world around the player?
I have a lot more and by lot I really mean it, some relevant, others, not so much.
But it just runs in my head and I wonder a lot about such a game.

      G'day @Enioko
Will try my best to answer your questions without giving too much away. This is very much a small passion project I'm doing by myself when I get the time, so as much as I'd love to tell you this is going to be a game of the year contender you should probably still temper your expectations accordingly!
      ----------------------------------
Q: Is it going to be a solo experience or more of a co-op one?
A: This is a fully solo experience.
      ----------------------------------
      ----------------------------------
      Q: Is the game scripted?
A: Yes, and no. Many encounters you'll find will be placed with intention, manually by me. In addition to those hand crafted moments, I have systems in place working in tandem with other aspects of the game to dynamically spawn encounters, objects, notes, sounds, secrets, and more. I don't want to give too much away as I feel much of the immersion comes from not knowing when or where something may occur, or when moments have been hand placed by me versus dynamically created. Without stepping too much into the spoiler department, the dynamic encounters system may use your computer clock (date / time), interactions you've performed, and or your location to determine what may happen at any given moment. I'm going for subtlety more than anything.
      ----------------------------------
      ----------------------------------
Q: Will the physics engine get used to complete puzzles/steps?
A: Yes! You can expect to be required to utilise the physics objects to reach certain areas and "solve" certain puzzles. I've tried to incorporate puzzles as naturally as possible into the world as to not make it extremely obvious that "you need to place a cube on this big red button to proceed!" Portal-style, however the design principles themselves are much the same (if not quite on the same level as Valve). Think Half-Life 2 physics, but more humble in execution.
      ----------------------------------
      ----------------------------------
Q: The video sounds a tad bit bland, it is an early teaser, so I assume you're only giving a small glimpse of all the possibilities and features you have in mind
A: I know this is more of a statement than a question but I figured I'd respond anyway. This video is just a glimpse at the game as a whole, and is intended to portray the atmosphere, mood, and environments primarily, while in the context of the basic gameplay loop of walking around and interacting with objects. There is definitely more to show, but I'll leave that for the full release whenever that is. You can expect snippets of story, puzzles, secret areas, mini-games, and the occasional spook to somewhat spice up the main loop of exploration.
      ----------------------------------
      ----------------------------------
Q: Will you have OSTs or will you rather double down on the eerie ambiance and feeling of the world around the player?
A: I'm doubling down on the eerie ambience. CONCRETE is very much about exploring and discovery, and I feel the current ambience serves that well compared to a bombastic musical score (as much as I love a good soundtrack).
      ----------------------------------
Appreciate your interest, questions and feedback! Feel free to get in touch if you want to know any more about it, I'd be happy to chat more about the project.

@@benjaminpilbrow Great day to you! Forgot my manners, excuse me on that one!
I guessed that it was a game made by a sole developer and don't want to get all my hopes up, thinking I'll have the next must have game in my hands but more of a game made and shared with love.
The aesthetic reminds me of a mix between Puppet Combo games and Lethal Company, which is great!
I appreciate the fact that you don't force a coop mode for such a game, as it had become a trend to make horror games more "viral friendly".
(I don't mind a coop game! But sometimes, forcing it ruins the base experience of the game in some cases.)
As for the scripted part, I'm all good with it, knowing there's the hand of man that made this world in some scares, like seeing the entity hovering the windows, which might make the player uneasy, such as in the Apartment minigame.
About the fact that there will be no OST, I expect you'll have quite some sound designs in hand to make the player feel the world and it's emptiness has much as it's life take place, I'm looking forward that!
      Also, on another note.
I really like the artistic choice to make both the stamina bar and the flashlight battery on the sides of the screens, playing with the format in which we can see the game in itself.
I'd like to ask many more questions (And write on my pc for that matter, because I feel like my questions and way of writing is debatable) but you said something important that I don't want to ruin: The feeling of unknown, I should not try to know it.
Otherwise, it would only remove so much of the game itself, understanding the mechanics of the game, the enemy,, puzzles.
If I already know it all, I would only get disappointed when I'll get my hands on the game.
So no more questions for me I suppose, ahah.
Thanks for answers, time and wish you the best for the development of that passion project!
