I had the Racing Beat and would never recommend it to anyone. I now have the Roadstersport Race muffler just installed on my new 2023 MX-5 as of 2 months ago. Driving with the Racing Beat, then switching to this Roadstersport Race, I have appox. 8~10 more hp and it is immediately felt. After a couple of years driving my 2019 MX-5, with the Racing Beat I started noticing a deuteriation of throttle response which made downshifting more difficult as time went on. The Goodwin Race is actually a straight pipe with a Helmholtz chamber connected perpendicular to the straight pipe. Quick throttle response is immediately noticeable with the Goodwin Roastersport Race muffler. Love the sound of the Goodwin. It sounds like an old 1960 Austin Healey, I'm 78 and owned 2 MGB's back in the day, so I know what sounds I hear.
I just picked up an RS4 for my 94 miata. Goddamn, this thing is perfect. Quiet at idle and cruising, and has a nice deep tone when you get on it. It occasionally burbles as well as pops here and there, overall a very refined exhaust sound :).
when I bought my NB I was told it had a Magnaflow axel-back exhaust on it; however, it turned out it had a racing beat midpipe into a roadstersport muffler (that same kit is for sale on good-win racing for about 700$). honest that thing sounds AMAZING, cannot overstate how much I would recommend that combo
I wish i did an all in one 5 years ago it was my first day recording anything inbetween a 18 hr rd trip so i didn't do an all in one [shame on me] but ive done more to the exhaust so I'll make one soon i guess :/
@@tonyhamre61 Did you use just the mufflers? and kept catalytic converter stock? or how did you do it? I wanna do an exhaust upgrade on my NB 2000 and I am not sure what I wanna put. Could you please help me out?
tself77 if you need something to get the by the Yonaka will suffice but the RoadsterSport and Racing Beat are so much better. The Yonaka was surprisingly louder even being resonated but was also raspy. If you go back and compare my Yonaka video to this you’ll for sure hear the difference
how does the white miata with the magnaflow crackle and pop on down shifts? I have aftermarket headers, a gutted magnaflow cat, and a magnaflow catback exhaust
Stevie B Vlogs he touches the pedal to add a little bit of extra gas to make it pop like that. Just his style, though yours should do it also as it is most likely running rich.
@@PocariPocari more than likely it's 2 reasons why they sound crappy: 1.) Cat delete with the "test pipe" makes it WAY louder than they would be with a cat. Not to mention on a NA car cat or no cat has almost 0 performance difference so it's worth keeping in there. Even a magnaflow high flow cat would do the job for a crisp $270 (or 1300 if you live in cali lol) 2.) No resonator makes it also really raspy sounding and not in the good kind of way. The best sounding exhaust systems I've heard on non turbo/supercharged miatas is stock headers, stock cat or high flow cat, and the resonated ISR exhaust.

not gonna lie, the Magnaflow is probably my favorite of the 3. it'd go especially hard with an ITB setup

That's what I got and Racing beat makes amazing stuff. It was the best choice and doesn't sound whiny at high RPM's.
The white one sounds just like the '97 1.5L Tercel I had, and all I did was drill a couple 3/8" holes before the muffler 😂

It's because they removed the catalytic converter, these systems sound much more crisp with the catalytic converter or an ISR resonator

Denis Ageev I use an external mic so you can actually hear what each system sounds like. None of us have a straight pipe system.

Will the racing beat fit NB Miata? Found the exhaust online but says it's for 90-97.
Unfortunately it mostly likely will not. I'm sure if you are good at welding you might be able to make it work.
Racing Beat makes an exhaust for all generations and lightened race versions for all, but NC.
