    So no re-gear needed at all? Thats good to hear. You can still hit 8th gear? I'm putting 37s on my diesel so that will save thousands. Sweet looking truck by the way.

    • @gladiatoradventures

      So no gear change. Yes I hit 8th gear on flat highway. It will drop to 7th on slightest incline. 4:56 would be ideal for 40’s and all around. I’m still 20+ mpg on highway, 18mpg around town

    Very cool build. Looking to do a JT on 40’s just need to figure out the lift and make it fit in a parking garage. The plastic fender liners are something I will certainly add to the build list.

      Thanks for comment, so I have an EVO 6.5 inch lift, and with my Nitto mud grapplers(40x13.50x17) fully inflated (30psi) the tallest point of the roof line is under 82 inches

      @@gladiatoradventures wow video just doesn’t do it justice. Thanks for the measurements. With the 7’ clearance of the parking deck at my work I may need to be looking at less lift or just start parking in the visitor lot. Either way I’ll be watching more of your videos.

    I haven’t considered the Paramount finder liners until I saw it on your Jeep - Looks good. Are you running them on the rear also?

    • @gladiatoradventures
      @gladiatoradventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      just the fronts, they look stock. At the time I purchased the fronts, they did not have rears. I currently still have the stock rears, I rub very little, only because I have Teraflex long travel kit in the rear, with no rear sway bar.

  • @iamblaineful
    @iamblaineful 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I'm on the same wheels, different tires. Same springs, just a full MetalCloak set of control arms and adj. trackbars. I ordered the Teraflex front trackbar relocation bracket, just like the one you held up, it's junk, barely lifts the trackbar and doesn't fit without cutting their welds in certain spots. I'm on 37's , LOD Front bumper, GenRight rear bumper, Adams Driveshafts 1350s front and rear, Rebel roof rack, tent, and Warn Evo VR 10s. I'm also running the '21 JT-R Diesel and haven't re-geared yet, but I'm doing a truss on the front axle this winter and will re-gear to 4.56 and 40s then. I live near the Rubicon Trail, it was a frequent run for us in the summer until the forest fires. 37's and a 6.5" lift are good on the Rubicon, 40's will be better.

    • @gladiatoradventures
      @gladiatoradventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds fantastic! Last time I did the math on the gear ratio's, I thought 4.88 was the sweet spot for the diesel and 40's. I could be wrong. Let me know how it goes. Thanks for comments 🙂

      I don't worry as much about the rear, especially after I put chromolys back there. I have broke the disconnect coupling, but not the axles or even ujoints, and I push it hard. With a good pair of RCV's and common sense you will be fine.

    Love the 40’s, but I’m not as advanced in my journey as my V6 2020 Rubi JT is only my 2nd Jeep. Had a stock 2dr sport when I was younger way before the 4 doors were a thing. I was going 38’s, but will get 37 Nitto Trail Grapplers because I heard I can keep the 4.10 with 37’s and the stock axle should hold up after upgrading ball joints. Is this true?

    • @gladiatoradventures
      @gladiatoradventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      To be fair, anything can break at any time, with that said, most have been running 37s on the stock Rubi axles, and if they are not to hard on them, they can survive....for a while. Go with a good high-end metal on metal type ball joint, most are lifetime warranty...most. Go have fun with it, and if or when it breaks, then upgrade. No need to throw a bunch of money at it if you don't have to.

      @@gladiatoradventures thanks for the quick answer. Here in Europe they don’t sell the gladiator in rubicon edition, only sport and overland. The Wrangler is only in 4xe for sale. Here in the Netherlands they don’t even sell the gladiator, I have to buy one in an other European country. And if this is not enough, for the high taxes here in the Netherlands i have to take out the rear seats to avoid a tax bonus from $ 45.000 US dollar. The gladiator as a truck will have no extra taxes like a normal car🤪. Crazy over here. The gladiator overland diesel will cost approximately € 60.000 euro / $ 70.000 US dollar. • @gladiatoradventures
      @gladiatoradventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's been a great daily for me, long road trips, and everything between. If your a vertically challenged individual, climbing in and out can be a challenge, but those all can be resolved with slider steps. I don't think one needs a 6.5 inch lift, like I have, I think an Evo 4.5 inch with a fender chop would be perfect for an all around adventure truck.

    1. you don't need a six-inch lift for 40's, that jeep will run 38's with no lift and a 3-4 lift will fit 40's with ease, 2. 6-inch lift says I'm a mall crawler, not a wheeling jeep. There is no reason to have that high of COG for wheeling.
