I need my phone connect to a device that capable of deliver electricity. I found the Sabrent that is exactly look like your device. If it is not capable of allowing deliver electricity, can you told me what to do? I can go to Walmart and purchase.
George chan, this will work with a phone actually, I tested it when someone asked earlier. You should not need anything from Walmart or anyplace else to use it.
@@KenPeriman this is George Chan. I can not understand what you are saying? I simply need my phone a battery, and because my phone is old (micro usb) it need another battery. Walmart is another choice.
@@georgechan843 now I am confused about your question. I thought you were asking me if it will work with a phone - yes it will. But, your question now seems to be that you need a device that will deliver power to your phone while using the Sabrent HD enclosure? Is this the question? If so, I am sorry but I only reviewed the product and I am not manufacture of the product. I bought it, reviewed it, and gave my opinion. Anything else you need to contact Sabrent themselves to get your answer. Sorry.
Ok, so check this out! It works. You have to format it but it works and I have a standard HD in it (not SSD) and my phone powered it up and transfers data.
Yeah, you'll get that. As I've learned, so many factors can restrict your speed, not just the enclosure but cable and computer connection itself. But sometimes, it is the enclosure.
Here you go... www.amazon.com/ORICO-External-Drive-Enclosure-Type-C/dp/B01N48791I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1536516882&sr=8-1&keywords=orico+2.5+2139c3 if this doesn't work the go to my video on the Orico (my first one) and click the link there.
Look at that, it has a USB A socket. The downside of that is it probably comes with a cable with 2 A ends. Do not use that cable for connecting two PCs. I have a strange cable like that somewhere myself. I don't remember what it came with but I also do not use it to connect 2 computers, there are special cables for that sort of thing.
K3n179 thanks for the comment, I am actually going to do a follow-up video on this as I have discovered something interesting that will change my mind about it.
Febil, great question. Just based on the 2 that I have I would go with Orico. Speeds are dramatically different between my 2 enclosures. But again, I only have the 2 to compare.
It's a piece of crap build as I may have a defected one. There's no space underneath the sata port so there's no clearance for me to insert the 2.5 drive into the enclosure. I was in a rush and just had to put this into the shopping cart. I should of went with the Aukey ds-b4 case that I'm currently using on another drive.
Thank you for the comment. Honestly, the more I use it the more I become unimpressed with it. While it worked for me I have now just used it for my backups. But even then it takes so much time that I might get something else.
@@KenPeriman Too bad the build quality is not up to par. I'm replacing a 1tb hdd for a 1tb Samsung 870 QVO in a 2016 HP Envy. Oh well, it's for my nephews. I don't think they will use up all that 1tb of storage in the laptop. Until then time to get a different enclosure.

This was really helpful, thank you!
Thank you Haaris
Put a SSD in it. My old SSD reads around 560 but reads about 460B/s in Sabrent enclosure.
I have.
Curious question, since it have USB 3.0 does it works on Smartphone when you connect it?
Wow, that's a really good question. I'll check and report back.

Yeah, it’s slow. Just got one and it’s going back to Amazon. It didn’t go above 440 with an 870 EVO 4 TB that shluld run at 560.

got myself one of those.
doesnt work tho. only the LED works, i cant transfer any data tho as it doesnt even show my SSD
Der Alchemist, that is not good. I am not surprised because I have such bad speed on mine. I actually only use it once and a while as an emergency.
Could u link me the oracle one from amazone I cannot find it?

Yes
dude, i gues the on and off thing is not for the case itself, it's for the High Speed function that comes along with the drivers
btw, i kinda liked your video, i'm going to watch more ;D

Man, that is not good. I barely use mine now due to the speed and time for backups but wow short lifespan. Not good. Thank you for the update.
