  • How to Reuse Silica Gel Packets?
We find them everywhere, popping out of all sorts of packaging, lurking like an ugly bug in vitamin bottles and new shoes. Working freight at my store, I touch dozens of silica packets each day and have often wondered what I can do to recycle them. Couldn't we collect them and send them off to a manufacturer for reuse?

Dude, I super appreciate this vid that you took time outta your day to dedicate to the making and the posting of this vid.i appreciate the heal outta you. I hope I'm not interfering with your message, but I also hope that if you didn't know what I've learned , and in the oddest of ways imaginagable, that perhaps it could help you as much as it has me. And also please do remove this comment if it offends you or hurts your feelings in any way at all.
If you don't see blue shining through the packet, then you wouldn't believe the wonders one tiny packet can do to any size drawer of your jewelry box. There's a lot of metals out there that are made to hold up against any element. It's the heirlooms that don't do so well 30 plus years in. Back in my time, proper care was basically giving the item a space of it's own. These p.o.s. packets are far more valuable than you think. And when it gets to where you start seeing a blue hue, that's your cue to replace it. But you can always remove the encasing ENTIRELY and put the beads into a microwavable dish at like 5 second intervals if you have a microwave that's more than 900 watts. If you're working with a 900 watt, then I'd highly suggest 5 secs at a time intervals. Trial and error is the only advise elsewise..
