I thought the same,, when a mining company wants to expand or other developments there is an outcry from Aboriginal activists,,, but nothing from them as Labor carves up the country side and coast lines with turbines and transmission lines,,,, have they been paid off by Alboslezy??
The Coppers Basin wind farm in the South Burnett owned by the Queensland Government is a case in point. When the wind farm closes it is the responsibility of the landowners to remove the towers and restore the site. Not the energy company or rather Stanmore Corp which is part of the Queensland government . This information came from someone involved in the construction. How will landholders ever afford or be capable of removing the wind towers, concrete pads they're built on and the road network that was bulldozed through pristine bushland?
Of course it is. I'm delusional because the Queensland government would never consider building something like 150 wind turbines along that pristine ridge line about 200 ks from the Brisbane CBD. They would have to consult with the traditional owners who would never agree and the environmental groups furore would have surpassed the Franklin dam in Tasmania. Perhaps I miss spelt something or forgot to dot an i. Would you like a photo of it? I live in the closest major rural town and I knew nothing about it until I stumbled across it.
We need to withdraw from the Paris accord and use the most economical energy resources available. Spending hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayers money in a futile attempt to prevent small and largely beneficial changes to the Earth’s climate is lunacy.
10-year life cycle then pollution as there is no money for the used rubbish to clean up afterward. even in America, they have thousands of dumps from wind turbines polluting the ground
What lve been saying all along devastating bush & farmland killing off habitats for animals & now the ocean's with the vibrations that will kill of the oceans animals.
24/7 by 356 days a year over unreliable intermittent power that we pay to waste when fully online so as it does not take the gride down with overload. 24/7 all the way.
These affect birds , water , will affect all animals and humans to , I just thought about Bee`s , bumble bee`s which pollinate everything needed to be pollinated to grow better plants , flowers , foods promoting healthy life on planet Earth . They have gone overboard , tame them down .
The largely useless renewable energy equipment will soon end up in landfill. The countryside will look OK again once the rubbish is removed, however, the bad government debts from subsidising uneconomical renewable energy projects will take generations to pay off.
@@johngeier8692 It can never all be renewed, after all the damage and fires. And they plan to leave the giant bases in the ground. Imagine what it would cost to take them out, and then where would they go? And the land will be compressed and changed....all the wildlife driven away, etc. etc.
How about we make the Labor party sorry by suing them PERSONALLY so they lose all their investments and portfolios so they end up with nothing like the rest of us. Australia is now owned and operated by everyone else bar the punter.. #punterspolitics
It's amazing that these thousands of square kilometers allocated by Bowen for transmission lines and wind and solar farms have not interfered with one Aboriginal sacred site. What Luck!!
Nope mining companies drain off their money then bankrupt their business start somewhere else under a different name and don’t pay for clean up or reconstruction that’s happened over and over in NZ.
My solar panels, installed since 2010, are still functioning efficiently with minimal maintenance costs. Can anyone on the panel explain how quickly a nuclear power plant can be built? What are the costs associated with building and running one? If nuclear power is commercially and politically viable, why isn't more investment directed towards it? Moreover, where would these nuclear plants be located, and do local communities have the right to accept or reject proposed sites? Historically, coal was the cheapest energy source. However, according to the CSIRO 2022-2023 GenCost report, wind and solar remain the lowest cost new-build electricity generation sources despite inflationary pressures. If you believe that coal and nuclear power are cheaper, quicker to build, and safer to run, present your business case. Let CSIRO and the public review and comment on it. This would be far more convincing than perpetuating the misleading notion of cheap coal generation.
Please stop ranting and look at some common sense, renewables will be a problem in the future, your little solar on your house whole different beast. So you would rather destroy our land, kill our flora and fauna for what…..climate change Australia will make NO difference to climate if we shut down fossil fuel’s tomorrow. We have heaps of coal cheap and we are selling to China for fossil fuel power, how does that fi5 your little puzzle.
You've obviously not read very deeply into this have you? Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant and is in fact an essential building block for all life on earth!
An inherent part of the physical universe. Sustained thermonuclear fusion powers the stars and nuclear fission heats the interior of Earth and powers plate tectonics.
Get rid of "renewables" policies and develop coal, gas, oil and of course, "noook-leear"👍🤣🤣
Yes that would be the best policy.
It is unbelievable the incompetence and deafness of this Labor government. Australians are suffering as never before.
They Jetset all over the world at taxpayers expense. Surely they can see the results of their popular delusions based energy policy in Germany.
L abor is out of control, they're done finished it's over for labor ,
I have ever seen a government make really dumb decisions in my life
Destroying the environment and animals.
criminals
There's nothing renewable about "renewables". Fools.
I forgive all Labor voters as long as they don’t do it again.
Forget the appolige, where were the aboriginal people in all of this we never heard a protest from them
I thought the same,, when a mining company wants to expand or other developments there is an outcry from Aboriginal activists,,, but nothing from them as Labor carves up the country side and coast lines with turbines and transmission lines,,,, have they been paid off by Alboslezy??
They get royalties which were agreed to prior starting this. It's all about money, and how much they can get, not preserving the land.
Wait till people learn that we need 20 times more than we have now.(renewables as they then need to be renewed)
At the rate of immigration more like 50 times more..
But think of all those "green jobs" - cutting up and burying wind turbine blades and solar panels!
Judith Awesome
Should have a sorry day who voted in this goverment
Most of them are sorry now, believe me.
We can only hope so…….
So many land for growing food gone to this plastic things, that cost a arm and leg and needed to be replaced every few years...
There's a magic machine that sucks Co2 out of the air, costs very little and builds itself;
It''s called a TREE!!!
And they are being cleared out to make room for the regretables!
And Radon doesn't kill trees and the environment??
Very mafia dealings.

FOLLOWED BY A ROPE DAY
The expired wind turbine columns could be Australia's answer to the housing crisis. A platform style house accessed by a fast lift.
😆
Precisely why there needs to be a moratorium on deploying large scale wind/solar arrays.
We need to withdraw from the Paris accord and use the most economical energy resources available. Spending hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayers money in a futile attempt to prevent small and largely beneficial changes to the Earth’s climate is lunacy.
Our super funds are supporting replacables
Rubbish renewables that will cause us grief for years
Always good to hear good sense commentary from Dr. Sloane

Climate change is summer ,autumn, winter and spring

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there 365 days in a year?

They are replacables not renewables
oil renews on the ocean floor naturally thats renewable
☢☢😃😃👌👌✨✨
Bugger the sorry day from them in jail
Its the greatest con sense sliced bread.

Cwrissey is trying to make our lives a misery
He is NUTS
Not good at all
Farmers are seeing the benfits od the solar panels. It saes water and protects the animals in the shade.
What farkin rubbish.
No kidding Sherlock.. With all due respect.

Not half as much as burning fossil fuels. What planet are you really on? Literally
You've obviously not read very deeply into this have you? Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant and is in fact an essential building block for all life on earth!
You one-way show,,,,,,get out of thinking nuclear,,,she noes nothing ,,,stress on workers nuclear who is she really,,,,

Tell us something that critical thinking people have known for a couple of decades. Elected idiots by idiots.
