  • A recent report from the Centre for Independent Studies has revealed flaws in the Albanese government's net zero plan.
    Centre for Independent Studies released a report on ‘the six fundamental flaws underpinning the energy transition’ earlier this month, which challenges the claims made from energy reports that painted renewable energy as the cheapest alternative, including fossil fuels, despite any cost of carbon or other policy constraints.
    Centre for Independent Studies, Energy Program Director Aidan Morrison joined Sky News host Chris Kenny to discuss some of the flaws underpinning the energy transition.
    “One of the flaws we’ve outlined is, I call it match fixing the energy transition, they’ve said they’ve found the cheapest and that gives you the impression they’ve contested it against a few other alternative plans,” Mr Morrison said.
    “But they actually don’t have any scenario that doesn’t contemplate us meeting all the renewable energy targets, and also the carbon budgets the very strict carbon budgets that actually see the electricity grid fold to almost zero carbon by 2035, we thought it was a net zero by 2050.
    “The electricity grid according to the ISP has to be down by just about 2035 so they haven’t actually presented alternatives, they’ve just pretty much said there’s one horse in the race and this is it and where going to claim it’s the cheapest because it’s the only horse we’ve put in the race.”

    A CEO needed a new accountant and started his interviews. He asked each applicant "what is 2 plus 2". Some gave the usual answer while others stormed out in annoyance. Finally he asked the last one, "what is 2 plus 2?", the applicant looked around the room furtively and then replied, "What do you want it to be?".
    Such is the value of the study endorsing Albanese government's net zero plan.

    Go with the US. There should be more research on the construction of huge Solar Panel Farms. These farms can cause more damage than you may think. In the United States, there seems to be growing opposition to the construction of Solar Farms and Wind Turbines. At the beginning of 2023, 60 counties in the US opposed the construction of solar farms. By the end of 2023, it had grown to 116 counties opposing Solar Farms and the list is growing. At the same time, 375 counties have blocked wind farm construction. Also three states in the US, Connecticut, Tennessee, and Vermont, are in the process or have banned the construction of Wind and Solar farms.

    People with electric hot water and other electric heating that run on off peak tariffs should be changed to run during the day rather that at night as there is a glut of renewable energy during the day and we are told that the spot price for our power is close to zero and sometimes in the negative. I guarantee that this will not happen but it should if they are serious about this so called climate change hysteria.

    Nothing flawed in their plan. They know they are one term and out, so they do some theatrics make it look like they will help with cost of living. Implement further pain for farmers/consumers re food pricing with sustainability goals, increase govt spending on aboriginal titles even though people voted NO, increased welfare, increased tax collection, make a song and dance about energy but then approve nothing that will reduce costs.

    Net Zero, a problem worldwide, for sure. Nuclear energy is the only sane option for baseload power but if you're a politician that invested heavily just prior to going green on energy, you're probably wanting to carry on lining your own pockets than using something as reliable as nuclear power.

    • @davidwall8954
      @davidwall8954 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nuclear is by far the most expensive option - 437% higher cost per KW than wind or solar.

    • @JustTakeAMoment
      @JustTakeAMoment 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@davidwall8954 You're forgetting the massive subsidies to green energy, 5 charges on electricity bills to subsidise the cost of green energy and a lot of government grant support for the most unreliable energy source in existence. Additionally, we continue to pay for these intermittent energy sources when they are not producing energy. You can check this out, they're all facts.
      Coal is by far the cheapest, then gas, then nuclear. Green energy is the most costly of all when you add all the free money in.

    There is a big change going on with power production now not in 20 -30 years time. So if this is as bad as it gets do not worry about it. The power supply is coming back to state owned and operated. There will be net zero by 2050 and a gross reduction by 2030. Simples.

      What is Net-Zero? Does it relate to CO2, a totally irrelevant gas in terms of climatology? If it's a problem, I'd suggest you have a chat to the world's oceans and river systems, because that's where about 96.5% comes from, naturally. Good luck sorting that out, but please let me know when, and if, you achieve anything of substance.

    Over 60% of the land in Australia are Desert . Australia should try to sell more coal to China , and buy the Solar Panels
    from them in return . Install the Solar Panels in Desert areas only and generate a lot of cheap solar energy so as to enable
    Australia to become competitive in other industries .

    It is easy to find the errors and harder to find a solution. It is a problem for everyone around the world. It is the most complicated problem to solve. Either we do something or nothing. Even if we do meet net zero by 2050 there is the carbon dioxide already in the atmosphere which will impact weather events in the future.

Third was the cores in that turbine I'll show you something new add that high job service vs on the ground to parts replacement com on man ??😃😄😁😆😅 5 Smile's. tired off that family.
