Halona visits Megumi and invites her to join the Uniformers. It seems she is still concerned about Urara. In an aggressive attempt to recruit her, they engage in a fight. Megumi gradually finds herself cornered by Halona, whom Jinki calls the "chosen child of the Uniformers".

No wonder Halona and Urara was able to get along so well, they are really alike like their expressions or their enthuasims. I can imagine after this arc two of them would talk with Megumi and give her hard time to keep up 😂.
And speaking of Halona her vanguard is scary:it binds, decreases shield value and stops u from getting power up uhh and it can restand too.
And we lost Megumi too 😫. Gui asked Halona to go after Megumi so I really dont get what it thinks. Even after Gui's fight against Yuyu it still tears apart members from blackout. 🤔
And the waited moment, gravidia masques and possible Bavsarga support(or better arms) incomingggggg. Next week cant come faster

The deck seems really broken on paper (being able to disable trigger power and reduce their shield by 5k) however it requires you to consistently reride the G3 and then use the Masque to ride Masques because Masques requires you to remove the original G3 in order to get the trigger nullify skill.
u dont need to reride the og g3, its the same masque skill meaning u can remove the og g3 from hand soul or drop; she rides the og g3 in the ep so she could search out the masque unit; if she alr had the og and masque in hand, she could just regular persona and remove the og from hand

You can also use the Almajestar rideline G1 to help you bind the trigger that was soul charged by the G2, while you bind a crit and heal from your drop with the 2 main Ominagruzias

I wish we got more lore for the Masques cards on the wiki, cause Halona was explaining some pretty interesting stuff about her Vanguard before being cut off by Megumi.
Also, nice to see Haruka seemingly getting a chance to win. Throughout the series, she has never won an onscreen or visible match (Her only win was against Yamamoto in Overdress episode 21, but we didn't see the match).
in this chapter they confirmed that Halona is just an innocent girl in the wrong group and poor Megumi in overdress was one of the best while here she is the punching bag of various characters

Glad to see my girl Megumi finally get some focus. It’ll be interesting to see if she’ll join the Uniformers or if she’ll acquire a different kind of power. I’m hoping it’ll be the latter because that would be a satisfying way to cap off her character arc.

@@mikearguelles6434 Megumi’s not in love with Danji, at least not anymore. She got over her romantic feelings for him in season 2, but she still greatly respects him. In a way, they’re dynamic is kinda similar to Aichi and Kai’s.

The power play on Halona to ditch that Masque for the PG and then do the re-ride like that. Such a flex and I love seeing that put into the anime.

Looking at the first few seconds of the episode it's clear that Halona is very lonely, but something is missing in her story and that'll probably be answered when she and Urara eventually fight again, speaking of Urara, it's clear on why the two get along so well because they are very similar Urara felt lonely because of how she gets lost in her sound making it hard for her to make any friends and Halona being lonely in general and both found their place because of Vanguard albeit by different means, Yuyu with Urara, and Gui with Halona. I also like how Halona still cares for Urara despite of what happened, it really shows that she considers Urara as a genuine friend besides Gui, and I have a feeling that her eventual fight with Urara is gonna be one of the best fights in this series.
As for the fight, yeah it was obvious that Megumi is not winning this, especially against one of the strongest of Uniformers, so now for Ominagruzio and Masques... WHAT THE HECK IS THAT THING, AND HOW IS THAT CUTE?! Also Halona trying to explain it made me more concern for her state of mind, especially when at one point one of her eyes turned into the "Evil eye" and of course said Evil eye has the ability to just debilitate the opponent by nullifying trigger units, debilitating their shield values and to put more salt on the wound "Standing", oh and adding Masque of Hydragum or the Ominagruzio Masques to the hand guaranteeing a Masques ride. Now that I think about it's basically "If Nouvelle Vogue and Dragonic Overlord became one and became a Dark States unit".
At the end of the episode I don't know if Megumi said yes to Halona's offer, if so Magnolia Masques if not then new Magnolia or new support for Magnolia, and guaranteed Gravidia Masques.
Next time it's Mirei VS Haruka, three things immediately came to mind:
- First, I don't know if this is gonna be a fight where if Mirei loses she joins Uniformers or she looks for Haruka, finds her and they fight because of Mirei's genuine concern for Haruka.
- Second, genuinely don't know what's gonna go down in the fight besides a guranteed Gravidia Masques.
- Finally third, from the title of the next episode it made me think that Mirei might pull some shenanigans like her brother in their fight.
If you follow the Vanguard plots since the very start of Vanguard, you would notice that those that were recognised as leaders won't lose easily. In this season Yuyu and Mirei are like Aichi and Ren of the past, they will only ever lost to each other or to big bosses. This season has 2 big bosses, like in OG Vanguard that's Gui and Zakusa. Mirei won't lose against Haruka. It's like Ren vs Reverse Asaka or Reverse Tetsu.

More likely, Haruka will continue her loss streak and have 0 wins even as a Uniformer.
@@jofx4051Amanogrugio binds the users triggers, not the opponent. Playing against it, you'd want to keep to low damage early game as much as possible.

Ok but it would be seriously stupid story wise if Megumi actually joined the uniformers, the same goes for any blackout member who witnessed the fights Urara had at the end of season 2. They all know what the uniformers does to a person, so it would make no sense for them to join them to gain “power”, when they know what’ll actually happen to them. really hope that Megumi doesn’t join them, I don’t wanna go through another “bringing a protagonist back to the hood after they were blinded by the desire to get stronger”. They already did that with Urara and it would be redundant to do it again, just have Megumi get stronger and actually develop as a character in her own way.

So there's a chance that Megumi might join Uniformers (i hate that the choice was left ambiguous/vague). I have finally accepted the fact that Megumi will join Uniformers (temporarily) after being so adamant that she won't join Uniformers.
I wouldn't mind if Megumi joins Uniformers as long as Danji is the one who fights her and tells her that she needs to stop chasing him and paved her own path and style, wins and brings her back to her senses (considering that next episode is Haruka vs Mirei).
Interesting that this current section of this season is basically Uniformers targetting the people most devoted to the Minae siblings but at a detrimental cost.(being so adamant on look after their precious people that it hinders them, not being able to make actual progress and end up lacking behind their peers.) Seems like they wanna give Haruka and Megumi a bit of a character arc.
I love how during previous fights with Masques units our protagonist doesn't get triggers despite being dealt more than 3 damage in a row but in this one, it's the opposite.

The deck is already broken if nobody noticed. With Schwartz= Sparda skill you bind 3 triggers at all once. Cripple the opponent dmg triggers! This is really the strongest Masques. Let's see what Nordlinger Masques has to offer.

Man the rematch between the 2 is going to be great when Megumi get her new Ace.
While it does seem saddening to see our main characters being defeated for the sake of it considering there are people who going to criticize, the fact that the main focus was Halona and her monstrous evil eye was quite the treat given we have yet to see her deck prior to this episode and here we are.
It is unfortunate about Megumi losing again but just a minor complaint and one of my favorites from this season so far, quite excited for Mirei next week and makes a lot considering what happened to Haruka!!! 😈🤗

Halona’s deck is insane. Her deck literally negates the effects of heal, critical, front and draw triggers 21:05 Also it’s Halona’s birthday July 22
Not effects! Power increase! Don't mislead people like that! And that effect would actually be perfect for Drajewelled Masques and yet they gave him a terrible effect, because Michiru won't appear in this season.
Its definitely negating power increase and while there is a slight downside in the form of having to ride constantly, if you can pull it off, then it’s definitely scary to go up against and like everyone said, it would be dumb for Megumi to join the Uniformers story-wise and her future feels questionable at the moment so we’ll see how it plays out for her!!! 🤔😁
what I expect from this anime:
1. Yuyu to have a cardfight in his crossdress outfit
2. Masanori to return to his original Shinemon Nitta persona
3. massive raids inside uniformers main headquarters

I feel like that’s the point, winning isn’t everything to be honest and while it may seem underwhelming to have the main characters losing for the sake of it, there’s still a deeper meaning and justification.
The text in the title for the next episode might be in Japanese but I assume it probably has the word “dress” within it given there’s going to be importance during this season!!! 😊😏

I'm going to be real with you all. I am 50/50 about Megumi's future right now. Part of me wants Megumi to be a uniformer like Haruka, but I also don't want it, and I am sure that she won't. I'll explain why for those willing to read my opinions.
I want it because she has no real rival character. Raika has Sophie, Urara has Halona, Tohya has Masanori, and Zakusa has Tomari or Danji, while Jinki (and possibly Gui) has Yu-Yu or Danji. Megumi has no one.
Not only that, but she has pretty much been falling out of the spotlight, HARD! I mean, both Yu-Yu and Urara started at a minimum MONTHS after Megumi, and they have both gotten so much stronger (Yu-Yu even becoming a leader) than her. To the point that while fighting Michiru, she failed herself in proving she was Danji's successor. I kinda feel like her story should somewhat mirror Reversed Kai (as well as Reversed Kamui) in OG Vanguard. After seeing people who have less experience accepting power, even if it's not something she truly believes in, just to catch up.
I know that her "rival" will likely be Shinobu, but if that is the goal of the writers, then this should have been HIS fight, not Halona's. They will have to give us a RE-HE-HEALLY good reason to actually care about their fight.
The reason I don't want her to become a uniformer is that it feels like the uniformers are getting too many of the established good guys, and it would also be a bit out of character for her. If she doesn't become a uniformer, then she better get the (apparent) Tohya treatment and get a new vanguard (everyone of the established characters should get new vanguards, fight me).
The opening is the main thing that confuses me with the megumi. Because it shows several character with close ups facing their rival character, and megumi is shown with no antagonist following her appearance. So she gets her owns personal close up in the opening along with other major characters? It makes me think that they’re probably gonna do something with her character, just really hope she doesn’t join the uniformers
@@jackofaces107 Exactly, the same thing goes for the promo image where the uniformers (before this season for obvious reasons) vs. the "anti-uniformers" (I don't know what to call them so that it sounds cool). It's a 5 vs. 6 (7 if you count Yu-Yu, who is in between them). Meg feels like she is just squeezed in between Tomari and Tohya. I am very split because I don't want to see Meg on the dark side, and I want to see a potential new Magnolia that isn't Masque.
But at the same time, I feel like if she were to become a uniformer, it could lead to interesting arcs/matchups like her against Yu-Yu or Danji to show how she's surpassed her idol and the rookie who surpassed her in such a short time. And part of me thinks that would be for the best since I don't see a match between her and Shinobu being actually interesting nor satisfying, besides the catharsis of her defeating his annoying butt (keeping it E for everyone) AGAIN.
But that, in itself, is an issue since she has already beaten him (he hasn't won a single fight if I recall correctly). So, unless they make him feel like a gosh darn boss like they are doing with Shirogane Zakusa, his defeat will not really feel like an accomplishment in any way...

Halona is 170 cm... and she's 12. She's way taller than Urara that is 13 years old for 150 cm and also taller than Yuyu and Megumi who are 15-16 years old for ~160 cm
