  • So yay, I figured out how to open a Polaroid Now camera and get to the battery, take it out, and reassembly the camera.
I did fumble around and almost lost two little plastic washers, but hey, what’s hacking cameras without a little drama.
    LiPo Battery possible replacement.
So, the original battery is a LiPo 992234 9.9mmx22mmx34mm, single cell 3.7V, 750 mAh
I could not find an exact replacement. The closest I found on Amazon is an 902035 (9mm x 20mm x 35mm) , 600 mAh. May be enough amps to make it work.
    Here are two 600mah models:
    www.amazon.com...
    And:
    www.amazon.com...
I also found this guy, 850mah, it's a 102535 (10mm x 25mmx 35mm). It's a little larger than the original battery, but i think there's a LOT of room inside the camera and it may just fit.
    www.amazon.com...
Neither has the exact replacement connector, so you will have to cut the connector from the original battery and the new battery and swap them, I would cut mid way and solder the wires, red to red and black to black.
Good luck and let me know if it worked!

@@analoguestudiodc I was going to ask. I have been looking for a few days now without any luck. Maybe I will just match the output of the old battery and see if it works. If I fail, I will still have a broken polaroid.

Hello someone says Polaroid Now battery can't be replaced using 3rd party batteries because the camera won't recognize it. Is that true?

      who’s “someone” :D? i doubt that’s accurate, it’s just a run of the mill 3.7v lipo cell

@@JHost-Music see updated caption. I _may_ have found a replacement. Search for "LiPo 902030" on amazon, you'll find some 600mah models with those dimensions, should work, but you need to swap the JST connectors

I took the battery out and put the same one back in. Now it works! The error was a flashing b or 6 and wouldn’t turn green while charging

Hello, do you know if it is possible to repair/replace the red button that triggers the taking of photos?

    • @AlinTolea
      @AlinTolea ปีที่แล้ว

as in the switch underneath? the red button is just a plastic button pushing on a small switch.

@@AlinTolea I haven't taken the hull apart yet. When I want to take a photo I have to press hard many times to get the trigger. I don't know if it's easily repairable

@@patricecarrez i don't think it's the trigger at fault . probably not an easy fix, i suspect the electronics
