I served the turkish chicken kebab with the rice a roni recipe and a tomato cucumber salad with feta and red onion dressed with olive oil and lemon. It is a crowd pleaser!!! Greetings from the Netherlands
I've made your grilled greek chicken many times and it is so awesome I told everyone they have to try making it and they all agree that it is amazing and is one of their faves. Thank you chef John.
this is the best cooking channel on the tube...should be 'required" in high school...if you grill the shrimp in the shells you can then use the shells for a great stock or bisque!
The Turkish kababs are amazing and have made it into my family’s regular dinner rotation. Highly recommended, and the technique lends itself well to other recipes, too!
Chef John, I live in Las Vegas, and the Panda Express here has a shrimp entree called Honey Walnut Shrimp. The walnuts are candied, and the shrimp are 16 to 20 and the batter is a tempura batter colored a golden yellow . The honèy glaze is sweet, but not cloying. See if you can recreate. Thanks.
@@MelissaTress Yay but I live in an apartment that won't allow them. I have to make to with a smokeless electric one which is good but nowhere near the ones like he showed!!!
Chef John. When are you going to do a video with you in the video? Love you videos and of course your recipes. You in the video and not just your hands.
With any kind of grilling the wood you use is a important part.a friend grilled some ribs over hickory and cherry woods and the taste was amazing. My only regret was that my stomach so small when I wanted to keep eating but had no more room. Better than any restaurant anywhere. I definitely agree with removing anything weird from the meat. You are the best!
what a great video, Im nowhere the cook you are, but I do like to cook outside on my moderat gasgrill (its just so easy and fast, and my wife wont mess with it, its a man´s world), Its my tiny outdoor kitchen, but darn it John that look REALLY nice. Thanks for your videos, It givs inspiration to make better and more favorfull food for the family.
Congratulations on FOUR-MILLION!!! well deserved! spectacular recipes and cinematography served up with your witty dialog! makes for such fun, thank you, cheers, and much love! xooxox
Having lived in Turkey for 30 years, I can say that the recipe is authentic until you got to the cinnamon...Cinnamon is more commonly used in Greek cuisine....The Turkish taco looked yummy...nice use of hummus. The cucumber, tomato and onions would most likely be mixed with lemon and olive oil dressing...All in all, pretty accurate considering the fact that you didn't do any research
as a Turk whose home town is Adana (creedle of kebabs) i can say %75 accurate .base on traditional recipe but I am not criticising ofcourse you would make it fit to your own taste which is very very ok )))) ....
I do chives instead of parsley in my potato salad. Sometimes I'll do shallot instead of onion. I also add sliced boiled egg. All these recipes look delicious though!
My tips for the Turkish tacos. Look online for wide and long (23 in) skewers. A single wide skewer keeps you from having to the the parallel-skewer gymnastics. and the length allows you to rest both ends on the lip of the grill. This way the sticky yogurt chicken hovers an in inch or so above the grill. Sometimes they are sold as Brazilian skewers. Get the ones with wooden handles. Why would anyone want metal handles?
One piece construction means it's easier and cheaper to produce and maintain. I agree that wooden handles just look better on almost everything, but over time food can work its way in between the metal and the wood and breed bacteria.
Bro! What the heck! I have been watching you since years and years ago! I haven't seen you in like 2 years. Your voice changed brotha! I miss your hip hop references. :)
Just incase same of you are confused in recipe 2, we call this cut "Mary lamb" drumstick with thigh attached in Australia, thus makes a great meal as your not just eating the wing, but also the Thigh.
Protip: while preparing these, place the chicken on a gridded oven rack, over your sinkor other deep space, and you can stab your skewers through the chicken, without stabbing towards your other hand.
i'm usually not into compilation videos, but when it's chef john. i watch.
Hard to go wrong there!

I love the corporate overlords. Thank you for making this compilation of chef john's grilling recipes.
I love your personality and sense of humor 🤗❤️
Somethings should never change, one of those things being the intro to a Chef John video.
Thank you for putting yourself out. I enjoy your videos. They make me smile. In this crazy world now, a smile is a gift. Thank you.
You never fail to amaze me with your intuition! "It may not be an authentic Turkish marinade" - that's exactly the way things happen in my kitchen
Mine too. I put in what I like and leave out what I don’t like. Simple.
Saving the cereal bags is better at holding marinade than resealable bags and they are also better for sandwiches and chips.
Chef John you are the best love from Turkey 🤗
Chef John I could listen to you talk all day 😀
John is a master of narration.
Chef John’s Corporate Overlord is actually pretty rad haha.

What we really need is a decent way to browse all of Chef John's recipes with filters. That could be the best online cookbook ever.
A filter other than the mute button that allows one to just get the recipe without all the additional waffle.
