Love this remake of this classic song. Can't believe it came out 50 years ago. Don McLean still has a good voice for his age. And love hearing all the guys take a turn in a verse. Poor Adam had to do such a long stretch of beatboxing but he nailed it. Think the song is about 8 min. long. Don McLean received his Hollywood Star on the Walk of Fame recently & Home Free was invited to sing a portion of this song there. What an honor for them.
"American Pie" pays tribute to the loss of 3 legends who died so young (Buddy Holly, Richie Valens & The Big Bopper). A lot of references in the song are made to many artists from the early days of music including Elvis, Janis Joplin, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Byrds & others.

I love how many vocal artists have invited Home Free to come perform with them, or for them.

This is such a toe tapper!! And it does make you feel happy! It’s easy to see you’re both feeling better as you’re chair dancing to the music!! Did you notice all the pictures they kept showing as they were singing? Covered everything going on in the 60s anymore… Rock ‘n’ roll, bellbottoms, the space race, free love and Helter skelter, peace signs & JFK & Bobbie Kennedy deaths, computers & calculators! Our world changed SO much as we were growing up! Great Reaction Girls!!

Are you thinking of Helplessly Hoping? And it's a Jaw Harp in Constant Sorrow.....not a didgeridoo. It is an old instrument played in the deep South; didgeridoos are in Australia, and make a much lower, deeper sound. Austin's "Save the World" is the one on Aussie radio.

One song when Adam does not beatbox is Brothers in Arms.

Hi ladies! Y'all are having too much fun again! I love it! 😄 FYI... Duane from the Oaks saw them on a morning show and contacted them. They were the first. Kenny reached out to them because his son's teacher told him about them and after checking them out decided they'd be perfect on his Christmas album. Lee Greenwood was a big fan and wanted to sing with them since he saw them live at the Opry, and Diana Ross asked them to perform at her 75th birthday party after hearing their "Love Train" and spending an entire day watching their videos. I think they contacted Don but he thought it was a great idea, and has asked them to perform this song with him at several events. All, but Diana, has asked them to do other stuff with them like events or join up in concerts. Kenny even asked them to go on "The Tonight Show" but the guys had plane issues and couldn't make it on time. 😥 (There's a whole story and video about that. I'll find the link for you if interested in the story). I think the guys contacted everyone else they have collab'd with. They've had quite a whirlwind. 🫡

We fans urged them (a lot!) to allow us to help them recoup the charter plane costs. I mean, we begged them! So with much reluctance they started a GoFundMe and raised all the funds they needed within hours. The guys were so surprised, grateful, and literally humbled to tears. ❤️
