Israel declares 'new phase' of war amid Lebanon escalation | LBC breaking

- Israeli officials have declared a "new phase" to their war with Hezbollah after hand-held devices exploded for the second day in a row, killing a further nine people.
Hezbollah has vowed retaliation after pagers and hand-held walkie-talkies exploded leaving dozens dead and thousands injured.
Israel is being blamed for the fatal attack, with reports suggesting the devices belonged to members of Hezbollah were modified "at a production level".
The Israeli military has yet to comment.
However, Israel's defence minister has declared the start of a "new phase" of their war with Hezbollah and Lebanon.
Yoav Gallant did not confirm if Israel were responsible for the wave of explosions but praised the country's army and security agencies, saying "the results are very impressive".
Nearly 3,000 people are believed to have been injured in the coordinated remote attack yesterday, with 200 still in critical condition.
Today, a further nine were killed as a new set of devices exploded.

First Netanyahu wanted no ceasefire in Gaza because he would have to face justice, without that "war". Now, he's comfortable with a regional war because more other countries are questioning what's happening in Gaza. More leaders need to see that this is Netanyahu working for himself regardless of the consequences.

My generation (pensioners) are the richest demographic in the UK by a huge margin ! We benefited from cheap housing, final salary pensions, early retirement on full pension from public sector jobs, massive profits from house values, and a triple lock scheme which guaranteed bigger pension rises than workers pay rises. And yet my contemporaries are whinging about losing a £200 energy payment when young parents can't feed or clothe their children.
He is too busy helping people of that religion whilst ending British values.

The money that you paid into the system was to pay for the old people "before you"! You don't pay in for your own pension. Your pension now is being payed for from the taxes of people working today. So today's working families who can't pay to feed their children are paying for your free bus passes and triple lock pension rises. The rises you will receive later will outstrip the wage rises of working families.
