Twisted Metal 2 not only was it a blast solo and with friends it sold like crazy and was the first cool video game commercial on television. In fact the only reason I am buying a PS5 is I heard they are releasing another Twisted Metal title. I mainly pc game now Blizzards Heroes of the Storm and SC2. Real awesome video games you never talk about you guys just talk about consoles games post more PC stuff please.

Earthworm Jim 2 was better on the Genesis, Saturn, and SNES. The PS1 version is pretty terrible and I’d hardly consider it a “PlayStation” game.

Yeah but there's an HD remake of Medevil. And if you like Legacy of Kain, yeah you can't go wrong with the original Soul Reaver but I highly recommend the original Blood Omen too. Now, It's graphics haven't aged well (hell they weren't even that great at the time) but it's gameplay is solid.

My older cousin had tomb raider
Personally, my favorite Final Fantasy was Final Fantasy VIII. I know it was criticized for its convoluted story, but I loved the world travel that it did and the characters one could interact with. The Mercenary School Setting was golden for me and I loved this world with its characters deeply. It also made me love train travels. xD Dunno, but I got a thing for that because of this game. ^^
My childhood WAS the 90s...I was born in 1985. So I was 5-15 years old back then. This list brings back so many memories I was about to cry 😂

Chrono Cross is debatable and divisive...I completed it back in the day but I never really cared for the gameplay or world compared to Chrono Trigger's
I’ve always loved the Castlevania franchise. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is easily a classic game that I’ll never get tired of!
The whole ps1 library games is woth playing, even with modern remakes.
Especially Bubsy 3D.

Gran Turismo 2 had a "scratch'n'sniff" disc 2 which smelt of burning rubber. They described it as "Pit Stop Smell" or something if I remember??

Wow, Dino Crisis, the scene with the T-Rex scared the crap out of me.
Brave Fencer Musashi should have a remaster. That game is amazing.

im playing dino crisis these days and im about to finish it so i came to see other worthy games. it is amazing but somehow i allways run out of bullets!
there are 2 things i hate on driver .. no weapons... cant hit peds :D
Metal Gear solid is one of, if not the best tactical game ever made! So much nostalgia when hearing that music! I beat that game probably 20 times when I was kid and loved it every time. So much emotion and conviction in the story.
Mojo: Spyro is the most adorable little dragon able to breathe fire.
Charmander: Hold my beer.
Legend of Dragoon, Soul Blade

Spyro felt so good and smooth playing, so therepuetic.
Oddworld should be on the number 1 spot. I still play Oddysee and Exoddus to this day and the artwork, the music and the tight controls never get old.
I'm surprised Tomb Raider wasn't on there. I played the 1996 game again just last year and after first level and getting use to the controls and graphics it was just as good when I played in 97
Haven't played Castlevania but heard it's the best. But definitely agree with FF7, MGS, Tekken 3, and Crash 3.

Bushido Blade is a very unique fighting/simulator game that you guys missed. It's up there with Tekken 3. Few games even now even attempt to try what Bushido Blade did.
MGS1 will ALWAYS be worth playing
back when every squaresoft game was worth it and konami was still on the gaming industry those were the times

for me,Jackie Chan Stuntmaster was my favorite game on ps1 ,it had good platforming , great combat system, and a good funny story ,also good graphics , the game was lots of fun
Harvest Moon: BTN I know, I know that's not everyone's cup of tea but it sure was a time sinker for me.
I peaked with harvest moon on N64. I did play BTN but I just couldn't get into it.
Castlevania SOTN is top 3 all time for me across all platforms. The music is probably my favorite part. It totally draws you into the environment.
The music on final fantasy 7 was the bomb perfect fit for the story
love that you acknowleded how great GT2 still is - my favourite game still, with my favourite driving mechanics, and top notch track and cars selection, and amazing style and soundtrack. It's soo good that it's blocky visuals aren't even as much of an issue
Mgs and Spyro were amazing. Too bad my PS1 doesn’t work well, I couldn’t finish those games
Loved Dino Crisis back in the day. A friend & I stood up all night drinking soda & eating chips while scared as heck as I played while she watched.

I only clicked to see if ud mention castlevania sympathy of the night. Hands damn 1 of the best of the series. It was my first ps1 game and I bought it second hand. Your picks were spot on.

How could y’all forget about Grand Theft auto and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2?
GTA may have started rough but just the concept of it makes it replay-able. Flash forward years later and it’s astonishing to see how far the GTA series has come.
Yes. THPS was rereleased but the original on PS will always be a classic to go back to.
Symphony of the Night is brilliant and one of my favorite games of all time. Played it _first_ time a few years ago, so that should tell you something. 😄
Metal Gear Solid is maybe the greatest video game of all time 👌
Feels to me like Ape Escape is missing here! The boxing minigame was addicting and the normal gameplay with the many gadgets was extremely fun! =3 Not to mention the nice little story it had as well.
Ape Escape to me is nearly the best game I have ever played.
PS I also thought that any Tomb Raider game would have made this list.
Have all of these games, and absolutely agree with this list.

That's why I went and bought them. Crash and Spyro, I've already beaten, except Silent Hill.

One ps1 game I played for ages was Dragon Warrior 7. Such a good game.
Even today castlevania symphony of the night is still an awesome game to play! ☺👍
i remember playing pepsiman back in the days ,my cousins and i used to take turns to play it, we loved it and laughed a lot especially when we lost in a level

Oh, almost forgot Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver. Not only worth going back and playing again but need a remake and/ or a sequel.

It was always going to be Metal Gear Solid in the top spot. The game’s just that influential.
The PS mini classic is a great line up of games that still hold up. Mr. Driller and Rayman are may favourite from the bunch. Oddworld is there too and popular games like Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil and Final Fantasy VII are also included on the ps mini.
My personal honorable mentioned is Fighting Force. It was one of the first video games I played on the PS
RE 1-3, Harvest Moon, Koudelka, Megaman X6, Vigilante 8 2nd : Offense, FF VIII

To this day, I still play Ape Escape, Medievil, Soul Reaver and Tomb Raider religiously
Heart of Darkness was sooooo good for the time. I still have nostalgia from that opening movie like cutscene. Another honorable would be Medievil

Star Ocean is very underrated. It’s my favorite game of all time.
A lot of PS1 were wayyy too difficult for me as young kid but I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to revisit some of these awesome games through the PS3 PlayStation shop which has a lot of ps1 and 2 classics, and backwards compatible ps2

I’d say that Xenogears is a PS1 game still worth playing today just because of how good it is from its combat to its story it’s a game definitely worth the time. And fun fact Xenogears was the original concept for Final Fantasy 7 before they decided to change FF7 into what it is today.
When i played castlevania my mind blew on the inverted castle part
I still got Crash Bandicoot 2, Crash Bandicoot: Warped, Crash Team Racing, Spyro 2, and Spyro 3 because they are my original Playstation collection.
As far as an exclusive goes, Chrono Cross surprisingly still feels pretty modern and looks great for its time. Overall great list though.
the psychomantis boss fight was genius, at the time and even moreso now.
The ones I still play the most is MGS1 and FF7
I think Ape Escape(s) and Digimon World 1-3 Should have been on this list. Me, my Older Brother, my friends, and His friends still play these a few times a year, so we can bask in the height of gaming from Our and the previous Generation. Also I would do just about anything to find another Copy of Digimon World 2, the Hardest one to find, since it's the Best One, and I've played it so much it stops working. I've gone through like 3 to 5 disks, it's just that Great and Awesome. Please Spread The Word! I want it to get out there so that maybe, hopefully, I truly wish that It/They will be remade.

Legend of Dragoon was not quite good enough back when it came out and now, after trying to play it these days, it is far too slow now to be enjoyable which is a shame.

@@scion2245ify You do not understand, possibly due to to limited RPG playing. The pace of the game play, battle wise, was not good back then, playing now it is even worse. Back on release it was only given average-good reviews for good reason. It wouldn't be in a genuine top ten of the Ps1 RPGs, let alone a top ten overall. I think a lot of people mistake rare games for being the 'best' games and this isn't the case lol. I'm not hating on the game, I own it myself afterall, just stating facts.
Metal Gear Solid was not the first in the franchise
Metal Gear released in 1987 is the first in the series.
It’s the first in the “Solid” series...
So it’s not wrong, technically.
Mega Man X is the first in the X series.
Mega Man and Mega Man X are numbered separately. So is Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid.
we all know there are two earlier metal gear games. but he said it always nice to go back and check where the Solid Series began. this was the first Metal Gear SOLID game. the other two are just Metal Gear, although we the same protagonist
Tank controls get a bad rep, but they're quite easy to master.
Spyros controls are just so good and the visuals are the best, stands true for all 3 games.

Mgs always will be worth playing, hell all the good games are worth playing doesn’t matter how old are they, yes the controls on some old games are atrocious but definitely are worth trying

PS1 is an absolute gold mine I think! Crash bandicoot and Spyro the dragon overall were my favourites ever. but pac-man world, Rayman, ape escape, croc and many of the Disney and Pixar tie-in games definitely weren't too far of either.

I was an N64 kid, but I soooo wanted a Ps1, when ps2 came out I jumped in and didn’t look back
Suikoden, Ape Escape, Vagrant Story, Crash Team Racing, Kagero Deception, Parasite Eve 1 & 2, Dino Crisis 2, Soul Reaver, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Xenogears, Breath of Fire 3, Wild Arms, Chrono Cross, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, Syphon Filter 2, Alone in the Dark: the new nightmare... I could stay here forever!

Just the first one with Solid in the supertitle (it was part of the subtitle of Metal Gear 2), so the statement is accurate so far as the actual titles are concerned. It's also the first one 90% of the current fanbase started with.
