    I only have the ''then apply'' and ''Via channel'' adjustments, no ''using slot''! Any Ideas on what is going on?

    You explained this so well and it made so much sense to a beginner like myself. Waiting for my kit to come in and I’ve never flown in acro except for in a sim so I’m so excited to test out different rates

    Hi there can you help out with my taranis tinyhawlk set up I can't figure it out!!!
    Have it configured in betaflight okay I think using mode2 on taranis and AETR on betaflight and taranis all works correct on receiver tab
    Trouble is when I try to arm the motors won't spin unless I move the right stick up or down which ain't right
    What might be going on as I can't work it out whatever to do next to fix!!
    Thanks Darren

      Hi Darren,
      I would say your channel mappings are not setup correctly on your Taranis. Setting up a quad with Betaflight and configuring a Taranis for the first time can be a little daunting. I think Joshua Bardwell's video on this topic is a great primer. I would watch that first as he goes step by step on how this is done. Link below:

      If you are still having issues I will do my best to help.

      Hi there thanks for helping out, do you think my setting look okay in the taranis, , so I have looked at the setting in betaflight and taranis, arm switch is aux 1 and is working correctly, the channel settings on the taranis are page 5 input, 1=ail, 1=ele, 1=thr, 1=rud page 6 mixer ch1= ail, ch2=ele, ch3= thr, ch4= rud, page 7 outputs ch1=roll, ch2=pitch, ch3=thr, ch4=yaw, do these look right to you thanks again Darren

      That looks correct. Did you check your Radio Setup page to make sure it is setup for mode 2? To get there do a long press on the Menu button and it should show RAIDIO SETUP. Scroll down to the bottom and it should say what mode you are in. It will have Mode with a 2 underneath. To the side it should show Rud Thr Ele Ail which corresponds to left stick Rudder and Throttle. Right stick Elevator and Aileron.
      If it shows Mode 1, Select and change to a 2.
      Hope this helps.

      Hi Darren,
      What you are describing is a head scratcher from a configuration point of view. Moving the right stick up and down (elevator) causing the quad to arm does not make sense even for stick arming (left stick down and to the right).
      Other things to check:
      -Do you have an Aux switch setup to arm the quad? If yes and it is not arming, plug the quad in bring up Betaflight, go into CLI and type "status". At the bottom it will give you an error message as to why it did not arm the last time (e.g. Arming disable flags: RXLOSS CLI MSP")
      -Are you running a Project Mockingbird tune which does "On-FC Throttle Mixing for cornering and high speed turning"
      -On the RC Radio did you accidentally mix channel 2 (Elevator) with Throttle channel 3? You can check this by moving the right stick and looking on the channel monitor screen to see if the throttle channel moves. It should not.
      -I would check your end points see link below:
      oscarliang.com/adjust-tx-channel-mid-end-point/
      If all the above looks good, I would go back to square one and setup a new model on the RC Radio. If you post your "diff -all" CLI command as a reply, I will take a look at it for obvious issues.

    How do you set up rssi please?

    • @slogfpv5679
      @slogfpv5679  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Euwanh85,
      On the Receiver tab (screen) in Betaflight, AUX 5 needs to be set in the RSSI Channel (top right of the screen). Also for it to be seen in the OSD, you need to enable it on the OSD tab (screen). To get a value, you need to have your RC Radio turned on and bound to the Tinyhawk. On the Receiver tab you should see AUX 5 moving around.

    What switch u use to flip

    • @slogfpv5679
      @slogfpv5679  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unlike toy grade quads (e.g. Ares Ethos), the Tinyhawk does not have an auto flip switch or button. You have to do it yourself. I learned to do snap rolls and flips by putting the quad into what is called Horizon mode. Basically Horizon mode is like angle mode (auto level) but if you pull the right stick all the way back (full pitch back) it will do a flip (need to be high enough). Then I progressed to learning Acro mode (not self leveling).
      Since Betaflight 3.4, a new mode called Acro Trainer mode was introduced. Kind of like a backwards Horizon mode in it behaves like Acro Mode (no auto level) but if you pull for example the right stick all the way back it will NOT allow you to do a flip (safety net). There is an argument that learning in Acro Trainer mode first is better as it keeps you from learning bad habits of relying on self leveling. Here is a video on Acro trainer mode from Joshua Bardwell on how to setup Acro Trainer mode:
