I think there's definitely a difference between U.S. album Monsta X and Korean album Monsta X, mostly because they're allowed more creative freedom with their Korean albums.
It's really hard to make recommendations because they have hours and hours of songs. I CAN tell you that their B-sides give you a better understanding of their song writing skills. They cover so many genres, and do it all incredibly well.
One of the more unique K-Pop songs that I heard from them in the beginning was probably "Myself". There's a live performance of it on The Show. That's definitely a departure from what you usually hear from them.
I feel like "Love" was very different from their usual comeback song, so I'm happy that they're sharing how diverse they are with the world. And I love what you said about their personalities shining through in the song, giving it that Monsta X flair.

YÉSSS, Monsta x is the group who can do a 2022 song looks like from 90's and 2000's without lose his own style, you know what I mean? I'm a big fan of backsteet boys and this album gave me some of these old and beautiful vibes, the tune, lyrics, arrangment, dance, style... everything is on another level! I hope the whole world would have analyzed every part of mx's songs (like meaning lyrics dances mv and everything) like you...then all of them would have been a part of our mbb family....please react to the whole album i mean the remaining b side tracks . THANK YOU.
The mix of genres and eras flows REALLY well for me! I really don't know how Jooheon did it. Monsta X absolutely DELIVERED
this is part of an album Shape of Love, and its GREAT. all tracks except one are produced and written by members of the group

But fr if you need help with monsta x I’ll gladly help you. Okay, if you’re going to see them in new york just listen to their english albums (all about love, the dreaming, etc)… and some of their new songs in their korean albums and honestly just have fun cause at least you get to see them 🥹. Also I recommend watching their mama award performances (2019, 2020) and their golden disk award performance (shoot out I think in 2018 and love killa in 2020… spoiler water performance) honestly it’s 💋🤌. those I just recommended are a couple of the most legendary performances to us monbebes.

i’m not a huge fan of monsta x’s new music (like, post-alligator) but i LOVE this song. it’s so creative and unique, structured and produced in a way you don’t hear a lot in kpop. kinda reminds me of dongkiz’ lupin, with the jazz horns and the cane choreo lmao
