- Spearman rank correlation examines the relationship between two variables. The Spearman rank correlation is the non-parametric counterpart of the Pearson correlation. There is an important difference between the two correlation coefficients! The Spearman correlation does not use the initial data, but the ranks of the data.

These [simply explained] videos are so underapreciated! In only 5 min (or less, with a faster playback speed) I could understand what would take me some dozen minutes to hours. Thank you!
i have been studying from the contents you have made for 1 year now , the way you explain the concepts with example makes these topics so much easier to understand.
thankyou for your wokr
Really amazing video in less than six minutes you were not only able to explain the spearman correlation but t-test along with it. Thank you
Excellent explanation! Thanks for making such great videos!
You explained these concepts too clearly!
The best tutorial ever!!! pls keep on making more videos. very helpful especially for beginners❤❤
Thanks again . )
I really love your explanations 😊
What an exhaustive video! Thank you so much!
Glad you enjoyed it! Regards Hannah
ur content is a saviour.
Great explanations!
However, when talking using the term "positive correlation", I just wish you could add "which means increasing values of the independent variable correlates with increasing values of the dependent variable" 🙂
love the video. Thanks!
Can you please do a video of kenduall's tau? Thanks for the great content.
What is the best sampling method for Spearman? Quota, Judgement (Purposive), Systematic?
Thank you! 😊
Thank you. 🙏
WONDERFULLY EXPLAINED!!
WHAT A LOVELY VOICE!😍
this is really nice video and good explanation. Thanks for that but I did not understand for the p value calculation? What are the two things did you compare to get it? We were talking about test sample and population?
I am not sure If I get your question correctly, put please have a look here: th-cam.com/video/2fgQ_8AKhJY/w-d-xo.html Regards Hannah
Hi! Excelent explanation. What program did you use to make the slides?
Hi, I just use powerpoint and davinci resolve : )
Amazing!
Hello! I rank the A 1, B 2, C3... For the grades of school children and their habit of breakfast are 1 for every day, 2 for most days, 3 for rarely.... 5 never... This ranks are correct? it right to find the correlation...?
Thankyou so much for this 🥰🥰🥰
You’re welcome 😊 : )
can we use weighted mean in spearman?
ahh no wonder i got confused at 3:09 I see that there is a 7-4=2 but to the left the original values are 6 and 4....so shouldn't it be 6-4=2? but anyways nice video
What do you do if you have tied ranks? I've been trying to understand my professor's slides on it and there's nothing on there about tied ranks and our homework has a tied rank. I'm so lost.
If there are two people with the same age, should I write them the same rank or should I write one of them at a lower rank?
hey you should take the average of the two ranks say if it is 5 and 6 then you should take it as 5.5
I love it
what if you have ties? do you use the same equation?
Hi, no if you have tied ranks you use a more complex equation. Regards hannah
@@datatab And this complex equation happens to be...?
What to do if 2 ranks are same in spearman correlation?
Put m
Add the rank their supposed to fall on together and devide it by 2, then both numbers will have the same ranking. After which you give the next number to be ranked the number that follows. E.g Let's say we have 2,3,4,5,6,6,7. You then rank it as ;
2=1
3= 2
4= 3
5=4
The two 6 which was supposed to be 5 and 6 will then be 5+6/2 =6.5 each, so they both will be ranked as 6.5
Then 7= 7, since the number that should come after 6 is 7.
I don't know if you got it though
@@user-if5sz7cl5b5+6/2=5.5, otherwise it's right
Very clear and useful explanation. thank you!!
Most welcome 😊 Regards Hannah
