i have two variables, one being age and the other being time spent reading news papers, can i use kendall's tau? the time-variable i have both in scale version (time spent reading in minutes) and as ordinal (never, sometimes, often etc) because my data is not normally distributed and showed heteroscedasticity (i wanted to use linear regression)
