I know your regular model probably doesn't include tear-offs, but that transition was so well done that you'd think they have been a part of your helmet design since forever.

True to your account name you really pick up all those details that I myself spent some time on while making these! 😄 Yes, my intention with these is to create the most basic animation necessary to convey the message, because that itself is quite time consuming to run as a hobby. There are no tear offs in my model. But I animated a plane mesh that appears at the point where Max’s hand opens up to throw the tear-off back and then it ‘flies’ back and at exactly the frame where it gets stuck on Charles’ face it is replaced with another plane mesh that is moulded on to his face. It’s actually similar to the work of an illusionist. I use off camera moments to avoid transitions that are difficult to animate. For example the cut where I show the 5 red lights, that’s when Max and Charles move from a ‘talking to each other’ position to a running position, which would be quite difficult to animate on camera. It’s an interesting process. 😊

@@davidtjiang4329 No, it's not. Stroll went off and get dirt to track. That was the reason that Max had to take off tear off.

@@calvinjapardi5410 Insiders told me that Max won all tracks already, and now he's waiting for the rest to show up in Abu Dhabi. He is spending his 2nd break of the year... only for 3 months this time.

It was actually proven the tear off that got to leclerc was done by Lance stroll and not max. Great video though, I enjoy them all as always.
Turns out it was Stroll’s tear-off, but Carlos’ face when Charles told him what happened and from the footage at the time it seemed like it was Max’s. Tear offs seem to be an issue now. Is it from the closed wheel covers?
