- MARTIAL BLADE CONCEPTS - THE ENHANCED VERSION - VOLUME 1
A Crash Course in Defensive Knife Tactics
Featuring Michael D. Janich

What do you really need to know to defend yourself effectively with a knife? World-renowned edged-weapons expert Michael Janich hears that question a lot. And this video is his answer.
Completely revised and updated, this step-by-step instructional DVD features all the information that made the original Martial Blade Concepts title one of the best selling videos of its kind. Janich explains the irrefutable logic of his Martial Blade Concepts (MBC) system and clearly demonstrates how concealable, legally carried knives and an intimate knowledge of the vulnerabilities of human anatomy can be used to quickly and reliably stop any armed attacker. He then leads you step by step through the simple, easily learned critical skills of the MBC curriculum and teaches you how to perfect them through progressive reflex training drills.
Nearly 50% longer that the original version, this enhanced video also features never-before-seen bonus material in which Janich explains the latest advances of MBC tactics and reveals the secrets of MBC solo training methods, both with and without apparatus.
If you're serious about developing real defensive knife skills, this is the training resource you've been waiting for.

Really an amazing personality in martial arts. I respect Michael Janich alot...🙏🤝
Would have liked to see this guy at the Ultimate Self Defense Championship.
No talk, just proving what he teaches works.
The MBC training syllabus provides for a very solid template of skillsets and sound concepts. Cannot recommend this program enough.

Can you do a video detailing the quad cut? There is some kind of stab then slice happening, and I'm not sure where I'm aiming exactly.

Yojimbo2 and PPT which is better fighting folder?
hey it sounds like the scene on `starship troopers`.
I was wondering if you had any classes in Maryland? I live in Abingdon ,MD 21009. I want to learn your training techniques. I have been in many knife fights in Baltimore. I was on the winning end of them. But was cut a few times once was pretty bad. That time I did not have a knife on me and I was really young. Every where I look to purchase you knives they are all sold out. Could someone please let me know where to get one.
Check out the Spyderco yojimbo, it was design by Michael.
Janich is very good
agree ..limb destruction is the way to go... any were a Muscle is attached strike it
Sorta sucks for those of us who already own this. This mean I should wait a year to buy your dvd's?
From lots of real experience, from what we call the hood. Train, make the body extremely strong. You can't expect a normal untrained person to survive. But once the body is much, much stronger than your attacker, you can win. A five year old with a knife can not beat a strong mean adult. So build your body. And hit really hard, work the legs first. Bottom up.
You would be surprised what a 5 yr old or anyone for that matter can do swinging a knife wildly. I'm a judo practioner also grew up in the hood and I'm here to tell you being overly strong may just serve against you.
the bible says "he who lives by the sword, gets shot by those who don't." personaly i think "the enemy can not push a button...if u disable his hand"
lol cuz it was! you win! LOL. its till relevent tho
The Bible also speaks of a time for everything in its season. Even for killing & fighting. Read the book of Eccleciastes.
being that they are nerds...... absolutely.

As a former both national champion and Australian rep overseas; along with my having been an Australian army Physical Training &Close Combat Instructor. I do believe you should incorporate the now proven concept of frequent "visualization" of various threat types. In order for students to pre prepare for possible situations. Thereby taking away the "Oh, what do I do now" mind set; seeing decisions have already been thought through. As this is pretty basic situational awareness in my own opinion; and at a now retired 57 years of age, quickly becomes a habit always....Cheers Allan Leigh
this is true but if someone has a blade in hand when defending themselves, speed & accuracy of a blade strike can quickly deescalate a fight. If all I have in my hand is a dollar store box cutter with blade ready, & my attacker is bigger but in some undershirt or even shirtless, a fast slash across the gut & the clock is ticking!
