Apparently the Rally3 class is supposed to cost sub €100,000 ($118,000). It's part of the FIA requirements for this class. It'll be interesting to see how this opens up Rally to more drivers and competitions. Looks super fun to drive. Agile and quick.
@@shubham_M7777 urmm i dont really know how they do but i think the manufacturer would see your performance in WRC 2 to find a new driver.Just like Kalle Rovanperä,he is a 2019 WRC 2 Pro Champion and now he is a driver for Toyota in WRC
Yes yes yes. This is the spirit of old group n4 cars, which I miss so much. If they do the road version, like yaris gr4, and yaris makes the r3 version.... Just wow.
This sort of rally car is the next logical step up for the future of the younger drivers around the world 🌍 and teach those drivers who have only driven two wheel drive cars on there domestic championships and still be able to gain experience of four wheel drive cars in a competitive environment and I wish M-sport and all the other car manufacturers all the best for this new exciting concept.
FINALLY! A 4WD car with no wide body kit for beginners. This is the ideal car to prepare young drivers for the WRC since right from the beginning they will learn all the right reflexes for 4WD. With a 2WD the thing you have to do when drifting is just the opposite of a 4WD! A wide body kit might look cool and be suitable for a WRC, but not for a low-budget car. It increases the costs for nothing for these kind of cars. That's why I don't understand the R4 category! What's the point of it? You already have the R5 that are pretty much the same and maybe a good midpoint between low-budget car like this R3 and WRC. I'm sure these R3's are gonna have a very high demand in the rally world! Great concept!!
Correct. But what about the gap between R5 and WRC in performance? Its about the costs: cant afford an R5 and are tired of R2? Buy an R3. Becouse R5 are supposed to drive like on rails and i dont see a problem going from R2 straight to R5. Anyway, a new rally car is always a good thing to me and the sport going forward 👍.
@Jari Varjosola I also loved those years of wrc but now even r5 are maybe faster, time has changed.. modern rally cars will be always faster.. Rally 4 cars 1.0/1.2 are way faster than old R2 1.6 na

Not yet (I think that there was ONE running last year, 2022), but hopefully many more soon! There are a bunch of R5/Rally2 Fiestas (and even some i20s as well) running the series, and these are way way less coin to buy initially, maintain, buy spares, and replace the 'consumables', than those more exotic machines.
So basically a AWD R3 car? Or a AWD R2? Somwhere in between? There's just gonna be too many categories. I would have just made this a AWD R2 car and said "The newwwwwwwww R2 car!". Like, we are probably gonna have an electric only category, Hybrid car, AWD ICE car, FWD ICE car, RWD R-GT. What happened to "Hey. We have Gr.N for da noobs, Gr.A for da pros and WRC for the hackers. Have fun!"
Ah ha in China rally Championship they had been running this spec of car for many year they name it Group S6 and build by their local rally Team. It is nothing new.
Another Fiesta again... Cars too boring. WRC should return the category of 2000cc and bigger car to compete... Come on Ford Fiesta in R2,R3,R5, and WRC+ so boring... Give us Focus R to compete again just like the old time...
Are you serious dude lol? The current and last gen R5 fiesta and other cars in that class are the closest thing to group B rally we’ve had. Yes, it's now 2023, and I am sad that their are not (A LOT) more of these running in the ARA events here in the states. ☹
Still cheaper to run an old subaru and they have an advantage in Open4wd class
Should establish a R4 challenge like the 205 rally challenge of old, set number of tyres etc, we need a new car for the club man in my opinion
