Superman is the poster boy of hope, and him becoming a Blue Lantern makes so much sense, but I can't help wonder how much devastation a Red Lantern Superman would bring about. He'd be even worse than Injustice Superman.
i absolutely hate the Injustice story. It's a bastardization and character assassination of Superman. Superman might actually kill the joker, but he would never become an evil dictator like in injustice.

It's a big part of the reason why I love the New 52 Red Lanterns title; especially the ending. Not necessarily earning his redemption, but at very least trying to atone for the horrible things he's done. It would never happen obviously, but it's still fun to think about.

He's already been a temporary Blue Lantern in "Darkest Night" (when everyone else also got one because they needed the full spectrum to destroy the Black Lantern power battery) and the Green Lantern of Krypton in an elseworld story.
This is the one I've seen so far that makes the most sense. The symbol on his chest is the Kryptonian word for "Hope." The only point I disagree with is Indigo, because it forces its members to know compassion, and Superman is not only already capable of it, but it would not be his choice, which is an essential character point you made to justify his exclusion from another Lantern Corps.
Tyrell Liddell injustice is fear. In the injustice comic he gets a yellow ring during a battle between sinestro corps and the green lanterns. He then becomes the most powerful member of the corps due to the fear of the entire planet powering him.

Superman can have compassion. Yeah he can't be physically hurt but he can still feel the pain of rejection, loss, isolation, fear (not of being hurt but hurting others). You can't punch or buy your way out from that kind of pain.
Obviously, Superman belongs to the Blue Lantern Corps. But he would have Willpower, Compassion, and possibly Love too. (I'm unsure if the power works towards people whom you don't have romantic feelings for). Fun facts: Superman had joined the Yellow Lanterns due to him being possessed by Parallax. Also, Supergirl had joined the Red Lanterns during a fight with Lobo when Atrocious forged new rings to make new members when he was overthrown as leader of the Red Lanterns.
I have some suggestions for more lantern corps videoes: Optimus Prime, that definitely sounds like an interesting one. Since you discussed the sith, you should try some other Star Wars factions such as bounty hunters, clones, and the Jedi (though the last one would be a long discussion). While for individual videoes you could try Luke Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, both of whom have a great deal of emotions in spite of being Jedi who were trained to not feel
also, he didn't get his powers until he was an adult. He felt plenty of pain on the way to adulthood, and also felt the pain of losing loved ones. What the hell, man?
I think your idea of love is misplaced, love isn't a one man show, it's the love you have for an even greater idea or ideal for something other than yourself (although you can love yourself), love is far from selfish, instead it is selfless. Superman definitely fits this lanter corps for he loves the people of earth and even loves his enemies by not choosing to kill or completely paralyse them (in most versions of the character).
Well, considering the chest plate symbol is meant to represent hope then a blue lantern would be the on the nose choice. That would make a great one shot story.
Either fear or hope. (Sorry for being a nerd but) the red lantern is crimson red in which they refer it in their slogan. With blood and rage of crimson red ripped from a corpse so freshly dead, together with our hellish hate, we will burn you all that is your fate.
Injustice Superman with the yellow lantern ring would be Superman at his best with a lantern ring because even if he is the symbol of hope to a lot of ppl there many that still fear him especially the villains. So him just having everybody fear him he would just be unstoppable
Superman in the hope/ blue lantern corp makes sense. Imagine a fight between him with the ring and say Goku who I think would use a green ring as he's always willing himself to get stronger...
Saying he belongs in hope rather then life is like saying everyone in the life core just doesn’t belong in hope too. Most Life Core Members Are Superheroes Too, People Who Give Hope.
I see everyone missing the obvious and going for the superficial in the comments. I think Blue Core doesn't work at all. Green does. Everyone is saying things like "He's the symbol of Hope" or "The symbol on his chest means Hope"... fine and great, but that is how he is perceived, not what he has the most of in himself. He has the most "Will" simply because he has massive amounts of power, and yet is always in control of himself. He doesn't harm anyone any more than absolutely necessary, and with the difference in power beween him and humans... that says a lot! He stays a decent person as well, even with all that power. He could easily be the Tyrant of Earth, yet he chooses to be a "Boy Scout". Edit: Your reasoning for why he couldn't be in the Green Core is incredibly flawed. "Will" does NOT mean doing what you are told. How you can possibly even consider that to be the case... I find astounding, and stupid.
The background music in this video is different than usual. I like it. Also superman should go into the hope lantern corps because as he is a member of the house of El which represents hope.
Supes only lost to Doomsday because he was holding back 75% of his power during their first encounter. After the Kryptonian Android in the Fortress of Solitude revives him, he goes back and kills the shit out of Doomsday.
I think that if Superman was in a lantern corps it would be green, blue, white, or purple. He shows willpower in wanting to protect the world, he inspires hope on others, he is pure of heart and can be in the life corps, and he feels compassion for all living beings. He could really belong to any of these
Hope does make sense. For all the reasons you listed.....and because his family, the House of El, is know as the house of hope. Hell, the S on his chest means hope in kryptonian
While I agree Hope is the best match for Superman, the argument against Will is pretty weak... For one, you use an alternate Superman in a different situation instead of the main Superman - who could fly anywhere he wants in the universe but remains on earth anyway. Plus, the reason he wouldn't be a good fit for will is that... he has too much will...?
Superman got into it with Guy Gardner one time. Guy was blasting him with his green power ring and supes manages to make his way to Guy and put his hand over Guy's ring. The ring reformed around Supermans hand. Later he gave the ring to Hal because "No one should have that much power. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." This was during the Monarch story line. Matt Rider aka Wave Rider was traveling Superman's timeline to see if he was the one to become the Monarch. Ended up not being Superman.

Compassion should be higher up on the list (not number 1) because compassion is helping in anyway possible and always doing Mercy, it isn't sympathy. I still agree with hope bring number1
Before i watch this. Superman is Over powered as it is. Now give him a power ring of any kind he's God tier. Not just that, a weapon that is powered by imagination and intelligence that is given to sups would be a really bad thing for whoever fights him.
I went into this expecting hope as the choice and saw what I expected, even when he can apply for the White Lanterns, the Blue Lantern Corps is always the best option cause no one embodies hope like Superman does, sure some characters can come close like Flash and Supergirl for similar reasons, and characters like Captain America and Sonic do that for their universes but Superman IS hope
I somewhat agree with compassion but again he was raised as a human child up until his teens, he had human problems until he discovered hid powers but even then I feel he’d have compassion for those who feel like they don’t belong
If Indigo Rings sought out those who had compassion instead of those without it,Superman would get one. Yes,he's an alien with insane power, but he was raised a human, grew up with similar problems to a kid thanks to his mental blocks on his powers, and thus he remembers and still knows what's it's like to be human. After all,he was Clark Kent long before he was Superman.
1:09 He does have a privately owned fortress on the North Pole. He also, in some versions, uses his superpowers to type up news articles super fast at his day job. Avarice would kind of make sense. 1:40 DC has non-human characters who have compassion, like Detective Chimp. Superman isn't even the most powerful member of the Justice League, that is the Martian Manhunter. Superman feels pain all the time, ask Metallo, Doomsday, and Darkseid. He has even died at the hands of Doomsday. So there isn't any reason why he can't experience compassion. Kryptonite poisoning can make him sick, and he still works for a living, because of Clark Kent went around selling Diamonds that he made as Superman, then pretty much everyone would know who Superman is. 4:16 Superman isn't really the most powerful being on Earth: Dr. Fate and Lucifer Morning Star are running around on main DC earth. Superman is vulnerable to magic, and he usually isn't Lord of Lies level of powerful. Hope is a good fit for Superman, he is the embodiment of the idea that good always triumphs over evil in the end. But willpower is also a good fit. Like you said, he has to constantly restrain himself so that he doesn't accidentally kill someone. I think that hope or willpower would both be good fits for him.
Too bad that there's no lantern corp with justice, i think supermans drive to justice is way stronger than to hope Revenge or vengeance could be also one and daredevil belongs there
Is there really any choice other than blue lantern? Superman is (when not in some elseworld story) a symbol of hope both in universe and in real world.
The last thing he needs is more super powers tell that to Ben 10 and anger doesn’t matter for us that much because we’d just punch a wall but if superman punched a wall he’d bring the whole house down😂😂😂!!!
If you think that Superman has never completely given in to rage, you haven't been looking at the right places. He's completely snapped before, and it's bloody terrifying when he does.

That’s be dope not gonna lie 😈
I know right. I mean just imagine it.
@@kidfrosty6565 that gets me so hyped for season 2 of SAL ( Superman and Lois ) and injustice 3
Compassion should be higher up on the list (not number 1) because compassion is helping in anyway possible and always doing Mercy, it isn't sympathy.
I still agree with hope bring number1
Life because he dedicated his life to saving lives
6:04 he had the perfect chance to say whith great power comes great responsibility he had to make a joke. You done mest up
Before i watch this. Superman is Over powered as it is. Now give him a power ring of any kind he's God tier. Not just that, a weapon that is powered by imagination and intelligence that is given to sups would be a really bad thing for whoever fights him.
Needmouse: he can’t really can hurts
Me: “cough” doomsday
Injustice be like:
FEAR AND RAGE. SUPERMAN IS THE BIGGEST A$$HOLE IN THE UNIVERSE
This is the easiest one, it's Hope
I love your videos you should do more lantern videos like this
I agree completely. Superman should be in the corp of Hope
Really like these lantern videos!
Not to mention the fact that the symbol on Superman's chest literally means hope
Literally clicked the video and paused it the second it started. His ring is hope.
Too bad that there's no lantern corp with justice, i think supermans drive to justice is way stronger than to hope
Revenge or vengeance could be also one and daredevil belongs there
Superman should have the Blue one because they both stand for Hope
Do one for the rest of the main league, Martian Manhunter, Hawk Girl, Flash, Aquaman, Shazam etc.
Cool video, I do agree with you!
Hope. His symbol literally means hope.
Superman has been in the black and white corps in the main universe yellow in the injustice universe and there is a earth where he is a green lantern
Commented before I watched the video
Lockjaw he has never been a blue lantern even though he would fit in that corp I am using the actual corps that he has been in
Is there really any choice other than blue lantern? Superman is (when not in some elseworld story) a symbol of hope both in universe and in real world.
The last thing he needs is more super powers tell that to Ben 10 and anger doesn’t matter for us that much because we’d just punch a wall but if superman punched a wall he’d bring the whole house down😂😂😂!!!
Batman should be in the lantern core fear, no arguments,
First: Superman never actually died... It was a "Healing Coma"... homeworks
Second: Blue Lantern Corps...
At first I didn't know what lantern core he should be
But then I realized his Suit is the Symbol of Hope............
As A Good Guy, Green, or Blue, As Bad, Red, Yellow and maybe a little of black.
Awesome video man I've been waiting for you to do this and it does not disappoint already pushed like 😉
If you think that Superman has never completely given in to rage, you haven't been looking at the right places. He's completely snapped before, and it's bloody terrifying when he does.
