      Congrats! I love meeting new Cubers! The grind to sub 1 minute is one of the most fun parts of cubing. Just the feeling of an entire section of numbers on your times getting taken away feels really good. Good luck on your cubing journey. If you have any questions about anything, don't be afraid to ask. You can just comment on one of my videos. If you like them, consider subscribing as I'm trying to get 250 subs before December 12th (my channels' second anniversary) but only if you want to. Good luck again, and have fun!

    I do own one of these. Still working through my first solve. I'm a casual that just uses beginner's method, and I am okay with that. I like the sheer length of the solve of big cubes, and am in no real hurry to get the best times or learn faster and more efficient algorithms. Just the journey of the solve is enough for me.
    I do find this 19x19 incredibly stable though. I've solved all the centres, and am working on the edges as I write. I do find the second layer of the cube to be the most unstable, the one just after the large edge pieces. When doing algorithms on this cube involving the middle layers, sometimes the second layer can catch and a piece can get out of alignment after the algorithm is done. I just shuffle it back in by using a thin metal tool I use for miniature model work and everything is fine. Only once have I had to take a whole piece out that popped out of alignment and ended up on the wrong edge so I could not just slide it back into place. It's pretty easy to fix all these tiny things though and then keep going, at no point does it feel like it is going to explode, it is more just trying to work out which piece going where which is the main hurdle for me.
    Yes, I do collect cubes. It's not cheap, but it is definitely a great collector's item. If you can solve say a 9x9, then you can probably solve this, though of course it will take longer just due to the sheer number of pieces. :-)

    • @CraterCuber
      @CraterCuber 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow that's very interesting! I've never seen someone who collects cubes, but isn't that interested in speedsolving. Also, as long as you can solve a 5x5, you should be able to solve this.

    • @Jasper_4444
      @Jasper_4444 ปีที่แล้ว

      I find this very relatable. For me too, the journey of the solve is what counts. (Although I do try to speedsolve a 3x3 sometimes - my fastest time is still more than a minute, haha.)
