Great interview! Spider seems to be so humble and friendly. And the last two albums Pogues did were way better than Spider wants to admit in this interview, I loved them!
I really like the Pogues records spider sings on.
I like Spider. He was always telling me about Chainsaws in the Dev. He liked a brandy in the morning.
Ya same hear.. talking to spider & Steve Earle in the elephants head back in 1988
He is so good
im curious as to why one of the albums covers was a picture of the raft of the medusa, by gericoult. is it because it represents chaos ?
His sister had a transistor. Haha.
Who’s here after the twitter comment blasting The Pogues back into the stratosphere 😍
Which comment?
ufo
I'd have asked him about bashing a beer tray over his head for 3 years on stage. There's video. Which I witnessed on the 29th July 1985 at Oakengates Town Hall....hell of a night!!!
Ballad of Jesse James was always my favourite. Even though its a trad folksong and not a Pouges Original. Or maybe Bottle of smoke or the other Horserace song lol
Spider did you write some songs or involved in writing them.
Check out his contribution with the band The Filthy Thieving Bastards.
