Just got a set today so far they are running great, radio up Whanagrei (Bream bay) is excellent, blue tooth clear and great sound cancellation, using them for lawn mowing run, and fishing while transiting to fishing spots, great vid mate, thank you for info.
Hey if you do not like the orange padding inside the ear cups it can be removed quite easily. just pop off the outer cushion and remove it, then pop the outer back in place.
If you plug them into a PC via USB cable, they operate as USB speakers, as in you don't need a Bluetooth connection. I think they're a rebranded headset of some kind. I will look into it further, but if you look at the LCD at the right angle, you can see more features than what are described in the manual, such as SD card and USB. Also when I plugged them into the PC a new drive appears on my computer/ this PC.
I bought a set of these a few weeks ago. Worked well initially. The battery went flat and now when I try to charge it up it won’t hold any charge. Will be returning them and getting the 3m headphones
good review brother. awesome to see a kiwi bloke testing them out. I bought a pair today which ill be returning, my - volume key is pressed in and changes stations randomly but overall theyre pretty good. I have pairs of original Beats as well as the newer apple/monster versions and a pair of Bose headphones and these are pretty good for what theyre meant to be used for and are quite comfortable. all in all thanks for the review
Good review. I've had my set several years now, volume knob lost after a couple months but overall I think I'll perservere with them! Same discomfort with the ear pads, replaced the vinyl ones after they split/worn out, with more comfy immitation leather! Now the volume /on/off switch is playing up and am getting sound in one headpiece only.....anyone been into the guts and know if you can open them without having to cut the plastic? The switch is riding against the plastic shell and obviously not centred at manufacture, have lubed the switch and condition restored for a month, suspect contact inside is at fault ! Now I want to get inside and repair rather than replace as the 2nd Generation sets don't sound worth another $69 ???
Had mine well over a year. Used 5 or 6 days a week doing lawns. Still going strong. Bluetooth still good. FM radio crapped out long ago though. Still bloody good value for a cheap model.
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL Cool. Thanks mate. Wondering whether the 3M's are worth the extra money? The build quality looks better on the 3M's and I've read a lot of complaints about the Tactix ear muffs (which don't look as well made). The Tactix have more functionality, but I don't want to be running back to Bunnings every week to replace them! The Tactix also look heavier and less comfortable than the 3M's
Hey mate, i have had a pair of these for a while now. Lost the manual. How do you know it has fully charged? I plug mine into the computer and it never stops charging. I unplug after a long charge and it displays a full battery, but plug it in again it continues to charge??
I have been hunting around and finally found the manual it says the red light will stay on while charging once charged red light will go off I left mine on all last night overnight and the light never went off I don't think the red light ever goes off on mine
Have to be careful on eBay, some sellers will try to rip you off. Also, compare to Amazon price, sometimes Amazon is much cheaper for the same product 😁
@@anastasios3006 I now do most of my shopping on Amazon and Prime membership is great wipes out most Delivery cost and their video streaming is better than Netflix .
imo it's good idea to use headphones witch PC... they are less expecive in poland 286 zloty but for eg. Arctis with USB charge, Bluetooth and aux are 2-3x more expencive Every time when i work with tractor (old) i use my gaming headphones with cable... mayby i buy it. Someone have experience with this product?
I have the previous model and I'm glad they changed the position of the control buttons, I am forever bumping the mode switch button on walls. The previous model has an Asian voice which is complete garbage, I approve of the American voice.
The FM radio tuner is USELESS in my area, maybe only works in the city. It's also only autotune then save, so makes it hard to setup stations how you want it. Handy with bluetooth calls. Makes my ears sore after long use.
Great box. I agree with you. There is no way of taking off anything on these muffs to find a place to set a battery in. I am thinking I have muffs with a preinstalled battery that cannot be changed.
I remember buying these and I returned them a couple of days later. They are not very good if you're using noisy machinery, like a jackhammer, because the radio volume level is capped.
I bought these and took them back straight away. Absolute shyte. Didn't stay on my head, sound was crap and the actual muffs, average. Got the 3m ones instead. Heaps better! Lower dB count, fit well, sound... Better. Bluetooth, not like it's gonna be 320kps.
The ones I bought this week are not the same as yours. There is no place to open to put a battery. Can't get the bluetooth to work. mine are cheaper looking than yours.
Crap. Bought 6 pairs in 2yrs. Well looked after. Wires broke on one side of speakers on all pairs, 2 just simply died and won't turn on and the charger socket came off the circuit board on 2 pairs. The 2nd model has very poor Bluetooth signal strength, so i had trouble with music and calls with the phone in my back pocket. Never had that problem with the first model. Not durable enough for every day use.
Tools & Stuff I have 9 staff, so I buy in bulk. Bought the new model hoping they had improved but were actually worse, so they went straight back. Thanks.

Great to hear!
Great kiwi review! Cheers mate! Gonna pick some of these up this weekend!

Yeah I have done that.

One thing you forgot to review mate..."How long does the battery last??"...
But thanks for your review..its also a big help!🙂🙂🙂
Had mine well over a year. Used 5 or 6 days a week doing lawns. Still going strong. Bluetooth still good. FM radio crapped out long ago though. Still bloody good value for a cheap model.
Knowing Bunnings they might've organized for cheaper components in the ones they get to keep it cheap
Thanks! I wonder how they compare to the 3M Worktunes Bluetooth Ear Defenders
Video coming soon...

How are they working now ? Did they last very long ?
Super helpful cheers mate!
А экран не будет царапаться от пыли?
Just got me a muff today. Unsure how to take off the battery cover at first.
Thanks mate
Very helpful...It`l be much more if someone had mesured exactly 3 dimentions of the hole where the ears put in (0)
Yes my first set didn't charge.2nd set ok radio and blue tooth bit fuzzy some times still testing
Got mine from Bunnings yesterday, the audio is terrible!! I’m thinking of returning mine also
that's cool mate - I just had the bunnings weekly mailer open in front of me on the exact page that has these earmuffs when I clicked onto this vid.
What is the battery life like? How long do you get out of a charge?

Every station clear as a bell, except JJJ which has static interference, Same deal with my coworkers . Shame we can't delete unused stations. 😪
Great vid mate
Cheers.
$69 at Bunnings and up to $146 on e-bay
Got mine at Bunnings for $69. There is a pair on ebay for $56, but the postage is another $54

Im planning on buying one of these..is it good?
No

Do they have a microphone in them too?
Yes. For using the phone.
The charging port on mine snapped inside the headset after 1.5 years.
Michael Prince mine too
So did mine. Bunnings replaced them for me!!!
I have the previous model and I'm glad they changed the position of the control buttons, I am forever bumping the mode switch button on walls. The previous model has an Asian voice which is complete garbage, I approve of the American voice.
love the japanese voice - "zee blue tooth device iz ready to pair". and "FM tenner"

Does anyone know if they notify you of text messages also?
All phone notifications come through the earmuffs
HEY TACTIXS ! How about spending a bit less on the packaging and a bit more on the product
The packaging is a bit over the top.

can u connect to pc
For audio and charging, yes.
Tools & Stuff cheers
Good review 👌 mate are they still allgood
Sweet as. They last a long time too. Only problem is I get a sore left ear, but I think I just need smaller ears.
I have these exact earmuffs and when i hold down the caller button to hear things it has static sadly.
Please tell price
It is $70 in NZ
The ones I bought this week are not the same as yours. There is no place to open to put a battery. Can't get the bluetooth to work. mine are cheaper looking than yours.
I have heard other similar reports I think they have cheaped out on these since I purchased mine

Micro USB is a real shame
why?
yeah the radio is crap
And ofcourse made in china HAHAHAAH
Yeah, just about everything is. Hilarious.
Most comments seem to point to a poor product, probably came out of Trevor Chappell's toolbox 😂
How is unboxing still a thing? No one cares! Just review them!
I see jerks are also still a thing.
Bt means Bluetooth. not battery flat.
Watch the full video dude
