- In this video we provide a simple overview of Options Trading for the beginner.
Options trading can be as lucrative as it is risky, especially for the inexperienced. It's a leveraged product that can enhance returns but equally enhance losses.
I hope you find value.

This is quite educational. It's crucial for newcomers to keep in mind that the financial markets are highly irrational in the short run. You should constantly be ready for the unexpected. That is how chance operates. Because of the inherent risks in the market, I always favor long-term investments.
These uncertainties will always be there. Thing is, every once in a while, the market does something so stupid it takes your breath away. If you’re not ready for it, you shouldn’t be in the market. or get you a skilled practitioner.
Such market uncertainties are the reason I don’t base my market judgements and decisions on rumors' and hear-says, it got the best of me in the year 2020 and had me holding worthless positions in the market. I had to revamp my entire portfolio through the aid of my financial advisr, before I started seeing any significant results happens in my portfolio. Been using the same advisor since then and I’ve scaled up almost a million within 2 years. Whether a bullish or down market, both makes for good profit, it all depends on where you’re looking.
Not bad at all. I know a lot of folks that made fortunes from the Dotcom crash as well as the 08’ crash and I’ve been looking into similar opportunities in this present market. Could this coach that guides you help?
Finding financial advisors like Vivian Carol Gioia who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
Thanks for sharing, I just looked her up on the web and I would say she really has an impressive background in investing. I will write her an e-mail shortly.
I’ve never believed stock purchase so difficult, it’s always easy getting a stock in my opinion, however knowing when to get in and also out ensures for lucrative returns, this is what I’m really curious about, ideas?
You’ve got a major point man, entry point and exit point is a major area that get a lot of investors on losses, I believe to get positive on the market, consistency and dedication to continually learning about the market would be as major aid, a lo of persons also get pro aid as an alternative.
well if its opinion, I'd say ensuring your lnvestments are guided especially by a CFA would get you more profitable faster. its what I do
I'd really appreciate you saying more lnfo on your advlser, its my dream to get in but I'm much on losses
I'd say a little due diligence on "Dianne Sarah Olson" truly exceptional

In trading, possessing technical analysis skills is not sufficient on its own; discipline and emotional maturity play crucial roles in achieving success. Embracing the mindset of "time in the market vs. timing the market" proves valuable, especially during market fluctuations. I attribute my growing daily earnings to Walter James's valuable insights and daily trade signals, coupled with my commitment to continuous learning, managed to grow a nest egg of around 127k to a decent 532k. Kudos to the journey ahead!

Interesting!! I'm so excited, seeing mr Walter, being mentioned here because his strategies have also normalized winning trades for me. and it's a huge milestone for me looking back to how it all started.
After I raised up to 325k trading with her I bought a new House and a car here in the states also paid for my son's surgery (Oscar). Glory to God.shalom..
Honestly this cannot be overemphasized, helping people mitigate unforseen circumstances and mistakes It's always good to have a financial plan
I recently decided I was going to take a stab at day trading crypto. I’m a complete noob. Zero experience. I have to say that I knew that it was going to be really tricky to wrap my head around learning the basics especially after watching so many “trading for beginners” videos I’ve watch with tons of lingo that I was completely lost in and way over my head. But this video really actually gave me a little glimmer of hope and motivation because I really feel like I’m understanding what you were putting down. So i want to take this further. How do I go about that?
Whenever you are ready, hire someone to manage your money. You need a (CFP) straight up! personally, I would invest in ETF's and also love investing in individual stocks.
Controlling my portfolio cost me losses in 2021-22. So, in January 2023 I sought advice from a fiduciary. Through restructuring and diversification with dividend stocks, ETFs, Mutual funds, and REITs, my $1.2M portfolio surged, yielding an annualized gain of 28%.
Your manager must be really good, how I can get in touch with them as my porfolio is not performing as expected.
’Sonya Lee Mitchell’ is the manager I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
I've searched her full name online and found her webpage. I emailed to make an appointment to talk with her; hopefully, she gets back to me.
Inflation depreciates idle money. I'm in a privileged position to be able to save almost 65% of our net household income, as I placed it on safer investments. The key for us was not spending beyond our means. If you invest and have other sources of income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends. Got north of $520K in my portfolio as I bought a lot of dividend stocks before, I'm buying more now, and I will buy more when it drops further.
The main problem is that most folks don’t care about anything other than football, Basketball and Music etc. They find it normal to take credit card debt which will cost them 20% per year but considers it risky to invest their money and make 10% or more per month. Learning to avoid high interest debt while also learning how to put your money to work for you by investing is a very powerful combo.
The one effective technique I'm confident nobody admits to using, is staying in touch with an Investment-Adviser.
Starting out with a professional that knows the ropes of the choppy but profitable market is the best way to achieve getting a well structured portfolio. That’s why I have been working with 'BRIDGET MARY TUROW" because in financial dealings one has to be prudent. Most traders enter and exit with a quick 10% profit which is not bad in general opinion but why not make more of the opportunities presented?.
@@theresagarcia1218She looks the part. BRIDGET MARY really seems to know her stuff. Out of curiosity i looked her up, found her web~page, and decided to read through her resume, educational background, qualifications and it was really impressive. She is a fiduciary who will act in my best interest. So, I booked a session with her.

You're right but a lot of people remain poor due to ignorance
Not because of ignorance, it's because of the high rate of unprofessionalism in the crypto market
Crypto is a whole different ball park. I would only invest funds in it that you are willing to lose or dont need. In terms of day trading crypto I don't keep an eye on anything at the moment except XRP. Wouldn't be right guy for day trading crypto
I watch several TH-cam videos on how to trade in the stock market but haven't made any head start because they are either talking some gibberish or sharing their story of how they made it and I do not want to make mistakes by taking risks in my own hands

A number of the most eminent market experts have been expressing their views on the severity of the impending economic downturn and the extent to which *equities* might plummet. This is because the economy is heading towards a recession and inflation is persistently above the Federal Reserve's 2% target. As I'm aiming to create a portfolio worth not less than $500,000 before I turn 60, I would appreciate any advice on potential investments...
I've been in touch with a financial advisor ever since I got into the market. Knowing today's culture The challenge is knowing when to purchase or sell when investing in trending stocks, which is pretty simple. On my portfolio, which has grown over $700k in a little over a year, my adviser chooses entry and exit orders.
@@MichaelJeffersonn Mind if I ask you to recommend this particular professional you use their service? i have quite a lot of marketing problems.
@@jerrygibson222 My advisor is JEFFREY HAROLD STARR, a renowned figure in his line of work. I recommend researching his credentials further. he has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
@DennisRodgers-xy8pdWow, financial advisers are getting desperate these days.
Setting up fake accounts to have conversations with each other to recommend a specific advisor is a pretty bold strategy.
No bots please ! I would appreciate advice from a real person !
Great stocks and I just bought in on them, but I'm interested in making a short-term profit, let's say turn a $150K to $ 500K in 6 months, I'd appreciate tips on how what stocks to buy to make this much profit.
@HelenJones65 That sounds great and how do I connect with her?
@PedroBryant9 Okay I just found her website and left a message for her. thanks.

hey i have a question @@FinancialWisdom
I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my portfolio for retirement of about $750k. I want to know: Do I keep contributing to my portfolio in these unstable markets, or do I look into alternative sectors?
That’s impressive, have you always had a financial advisor?
Thank you for the lead. I searched her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
I love your work! Serious content combined with animation, well, I'm a sucker for it. Your channel and History Matters are both outstanding at doing this! Learning and great fun!

Congrats on your growth, I started trading in January on a 10 k account which has grown to 48 k, the broker I use offers Ai and bots for trading which I took advantage of by contacting their live support. I have been taking advantage of it so far. Your channel is also an inspiration
Wow, that's good
What broker do you use and how much is the minimum I can start with
Pathstonesecurities
I think with as low as 200 you can get started but I advice higher capital for proper trades
Nice, I think this is a safer way for people like me who rarely trust other people to trade for them, thanks for sharing I will opt for bots
Amazing to see someone else talking about this broker, I have been trading with them for 2 years plus and I even introduced most of my friends and close ones to it
Thanks for this explanation. So, if I understand correctly, a bear in the first expample is encouraged to be a little too bullish. I.e. ask a price that is expexted to be above market price at the time the option is due, so as to farm the premium and keep the stock (asset).
The most awaited content Thank you and continue sir
I was really hopeful of my investments this year, but all my plans have been disoriented, I've been studying the market crashes and I realized some investors made millions from the recent recession and I was wondering if such success rate could be achieved in this present market. I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas on how to invest for retirement.
I only buy quality firms, anticipate to hold them regardless of what happens, pay up but not too much, keep track, sell only when necessary, and be ready to course correct. also ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless. Major thanks to Trisha Jean Webb my F.A.

hello
Thank's Michael for your amazing ideas and trading lessons🎆
Which options strategies are best or most likely to offer reliable yield?
Succinct and clear. Thanks Gareth. When it comes to derivatives, I think spread betting is a viable alternative to options, particularly for index futures. It would be great if you could look at this in one of your future videos.
Thanks William. Noted
a great and simple video for beginners, thanks for such nice work.
Thanks Amit
4RA pe jitne ka excitement alag hai bhai, aur Samsung draw to icing on the cake hai
Nice video, but have 1 question
for exemple i'm a selling a call option, strike price @100$ the premium is 10$, at maturity the price is 90$, so the buyer of the call will not exercide the option and he will lose the premium of 10$,
how that can be correlated when u said the premium could increase by 150% if the price is up by 20%, coz i don't understantd this
Only thing I'm confused about with options is calls/puts if I put say a 100 in either and I lose an my strike isn't met is there a chance ill have to pay more then a 100? Like I'm not going to get a bill later on right? I just see the contracts are a 100 shares, does that mean they're only fractions of that share? Just don't want to put a 100 in an owe thousands.
Really top video dude, I really appreciate the education and explanation. Thanks. Sub.
The most important think on option trading it's to never buy or sell naked option ! You must have the stocks on your portfolio or combine options to limit the risk (buying and selling calls and puts at the same time)
True
Up to a point this is correct; if you want to own equity then writing naked puts is a viable and valid strategy as long as you ensure you are clear about allocation, there are other valid ways to sell naked options, always provided your capital and allocation rules are rock solid. The risk profile is equivalent to a covered call. Thanks Gareth for another excellent video. For those interested going deeper into options I highly recommend Options as a Strategic Investment by Lawrence McMillan.
@@pezzodipunto2239 in this case also you are not naked you must have the cash to buy the stocks
That's what Buffett does. A big part of his income comes from selling puts on companies he what to buy. It's a win win for him because he has a lot of cash. It gets premium or the stocks he want to buy with a cheaper price...
Yes this is correct and I should have qualified I’m referring to cash secured puts which of in the end are not really naked even if not part of a spread
I have important question....what about the difference between the strick ptice and current price ....let say the current price 100 and strike price 110 for call option .....so you strat to gain money after the price exceed the strike price or immediatly after the price go up ftom the current price?
I bought contracts in January with an expiration in July, and the stock price raised after a week. I tried to sell, but it was canceled on the other end.
- What am I missing? Can I not sell before the expiration? Is it too far out?
Also please share your selective reads that have helped you in understanding futures and options and gain in depth practical knowledge regarding them.

Thanks Janta, ok
I began my investment journey at the age of 33, primarily through hard work and dedication. I am to share that my passive income exceeded $100k in a single month for the first time. This success reinforces the importance of the advice mentioned earlier. It is not about achieving quick wealth, but rather ensuring long-term financial prosperity.
Investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.
This is superb! Information, as a noob it gets quite to handle all of this and staying informed is a major cause, how do you go about this are you a pro investor?
Through closely monitoring the performance of my portfolio, I have witnessed a remarkable growth of $500k in just the past two quarters. This experience has shed light on why experienced traders are able to generate substantial returns even in lesser-known markets. It is safe to say that this bold decision has been one of the most impactful choices I have made recently.

Another great video, thanks, Gareth. While trading options gives you better risk control it is more complex than trading CFD's and spread betting, I can see the advantages and it does interest me but the relative comparative complexity of the trades isn't for me. Profits from trading options are subject to CGT in the UK, although losses can be offset against gains as I understand it, the same goes for trading CFD's, spread betting gains are tax free... the additional tax complexity also puts me off, I'll stick to spread betting and investing within an ISA.
What program is used to make these videos ?
This goes straight over my head I can see why people lose lots of money there must be so many beginners competing against people that do this full time and have years and years of experience - not for me thanks
Could you make another video going over the Put Options again? Buying a put option makes no sense in this example

having a mentor is also very important when it comes to Trade, with out that, it can be very frustrating.
you must have these things in mind
1. Have a long term mindset.
2. Be willing to take *risk*.
3. Be careful, if you're not spending to earn back, then stop spending.
4. Never claim to know - Ask questions and it's best you work with an assistant.
The wisest thought that is in everyone's minds today is to invest in different income flows that do not depend on the government, especially with the current economic crisis around the world. Please also explain the option chain.
What confuses new traders the most when they first try trading options, is trying to understand the options chain.
very educative
So, are call options and put options 2 sides of the same contract? As in it's a call option from the buyers point of view, and a put option from the sellers point of view?
No, they are different kinds of contracts. You can be either an option buyer or an option seller. If you are an option buyer, you will buy call options when you are bullish and buy put options when you are bearish. If you are an option seller, you will sell call options when you are bearish and sell put options when you are bullish. The call option premium rises when the underlying goes up and declines when the underlying goes down and the put option premium rises when the underlying goes down and declines when the underlying goes up.
Got to admit, Finch's involvement in 4RA made me a regular. Can't miss out on his match insights! 💡

With Options knowledge/learning, and an Options acct of $5k-10k, can you make $417 a day or $8400 per month trading Options?
More knowledge 🔑
Doston ke sath bet lagake match dekhna aur strategies discuss karna bohot accha lagta
Is there ever a reason to buy a call below the current share price? Because I thought a call was when u think it’s going up? Not down
If you buy a call option contract below the current price it's call a "in the money" contract and it would probably go green quickly if the stock price goes up....but depending on the expiration date that's not a good play because the price of the contract will be high in contrast to the profit potential. You'll spend a lot of money for the contract but only get a small profit.
Great vid, these scammer comments are so annoying 😂

Options don't increase Risk-Reward Ratio of a trader's strategy. They simply increase Leverage. The only way AFAIK to increase Risk-reward ratio is to increase holding time of profitable trades and not leverage.
First you need the ability to trade stocks correctly.

Couple things I don't understand within the two minutes of the video. And there's a ton more but I'll start here. Thank you in advance for anyone who answers, I seriously can't find a single video I understand fully .
"Mr bull has the option to purchase the stock at 165 after three months."
-So when the contract is over(after three months), and you won, how many stocks can you buy at 165 , and for how long?
"The bullish trader stands to gain $25 from the agreement"
-i understand the price went up to 190 from 165, difference is 25, but where is that money coming from. Is the Bear just giving him $25 or is it coming from somewhere else? No one has sold anything , and no stocks were bought so wheres the $25 coming from exactly.
Each contract is 100 shares so if you had 2 contracts and they appreciate in value you can exercise the option or sell the contracts to someone who can pay for the shares and sell them on the market
