- Many new optimistic stock traders jump straight into trading the markets on the assumption that they can make money. Perhaps believing they have the skills that others have not. The reality is however that many new traders fail because they are unaware of the market cycle, they have unrealistic expectations, or they fall short on some of the very basics.
Hopefully this video can be a good starting point for new traders, or perhaps a reset for traders who have yet to turn a consistent profit.

1) Slow down
2) When you fire up your chart. Do not worry if you do not get a piece of this move happening right now. The fear of missing out mindset will cost you $ far more times then make you $. Consider this inactivity to be a guaranteed profit, because..... it is.
2) Plan out your trade carefully. When do you get in? Why? When do you get out for better or worse? Why?
3) Wait for the conditions of your trade to be met.
PATIENCE is the #1 reason people lose $.
You are your own worst enemy in trading.
Even when i knew what i was doing. Getting past that first FOMO trade was big. Slowing it down and waiting for it is what took me from being a losing trader to a winning one.
You do not need the whole move.
You do not need every move.
You do need a trustable and reliably consistently profitable set of rules that you stick to like they were religion.

Now after one year of some experience trading I've exactly seen all the things mentioned in this video specially common mistakes ! .This video is Very impressing for me,. This is great video and must watch for any new trader. 2 years ago i started with Canslim style and i wanted to be a hero in 3 months. I totally understand now that it takes 2 years (at least) to build a sound process .. then start fine tune it year after year

I entered the market just 3 days before the correction, man what a month has been, net loss but the noobie mistakes I made hurt more than the money gone. Stupidest thing is I entered with mindset of long term and not timing the market investing in "layman" well researched stock ...which mostly did well but I couldn't handle the red and went out to cut losses, if I had rebought them i would have now a net profit, noob i am

Great! The year is almost over and very glad about the decisions I have made so far. Investing in the market earlier this year regardless of the market conditions has saved my life. Slogans and platitudes delivered with an authoritative tone mixed in with a fundamentally false premise - that "trading" (frequent transactions) can be made to work as a successful strategy for retail investors. Trading your way to wealth has been debunked as unwise by research. Beware and heed PT Barnum's warning.

It's not a theory. Anyone can "Google It" and check for themselves. Well over 90% of short term traders lose money in the long term.
