These days going around town in motorcycle clothing will make you look positively dapper when mingling with the chavs, still in their dressing gown & pjs! 😱
I saw a pacifier branded Husqvarna the other day on RockyMountain ADV's site. Remember when young, but grown, men were walking around with pacifiers in the mouths? lol
Hallo good sir, greetings from a cold and wet Denmark and a big thank you for taking us along your journey. I try and ride year round, when we do not have snow and ice and salty roads ☹. I tend to ride my new Vespa 300 as it's easier to clean and give you more protection, leaving the Bonny 900 ST at home to last longer. Having come back after 15 years in queensland, I find it hard and bitterly cold so I wear ski pants over my riding jeans/thermals and layers under my Klim Marrakesh with a Scott rain jacket over. Not a big fan of feeling like a michelin man but riding 30-60 min in the cold is even worse, and it's good to ride 🙏
Hiya TAYM 👋. Great vlog that thanks. The best winter accessory l've found is free. It's called SORN and lasts me all the way to the beginning of March 😂. Regards, Mo 😊👍.
Hi Mr. TAYM, I melted a 2 week old all in one quilted Sidi waterproof suit on the pipes of a demo BMW R1200C cruiser at Harvey's BMW in Grimsby. Needless to say I was more than miffed about the suit, compounded by the fact that the BM was the most uncomfortable bike I've ever ridden. But, as my Dad taught me, it's all down to experience. Good to see a product mutter. Definitely considering those heated gloves. Thanks, Glyn M (and Neil M)
Thanks for this video. I like this direction you’re going in. Nice to put a face to the TAYM! Normally when moto vloggers promote gear , there is scepticism on the gear depending on the vlogger. But over the years of watching your videos, you come across as a genuine person, trusted in your opinion. Like a riding mate. I will be looking into these. Can’t go wrong. Especially here in Canada where it’s generally cold ha ha. Not much room on my Bonne to pack stuff. Thanks again.
I got a heated jacket last year, I wear it under my bike jacket instead of the thermal lining, just a game changer for me on long winter rides and as I only need a base layer under that don't feel like a Michelin man walking about.
I was impressed enough to buy the thermal rainseal trousers they seem a good alternative to the bulky padded ones I have. I recently bought the Kemi Moto heated gilet and gloves and I only needed a quick fix for my legs. Good one Taym. 😊👍🏍
Starting with TAYM on his knees! Great stuff, I prefer to wear my armoured gear underneath, have the Rainseal Jacket/Trousers/Over Mittens and Overboots, adding a extra bit of thermal is a great idea, added to my Wishlist see if I can get someone else to pay for some of it!
I've previously found Oxford products to be of good quality and reasonably priced. Their heated grips are the best there is, their Rider belt with pillion handles helps your pillion feel secure and their locks are top notch. That said I've had two of my bikes covered with their bike covers whilst I built a shed to house them, they seem to be similar material to the rain suit. The covers haven't faired well at all and haven't lasted a season. Between Summer sun, winter frost, strong winds and lots of rain they've deteriorated rapidly and are now torn in places. I was looking at waterproofs for my son who takes his bike to work everyday and often gets a soaking. I saw Oxford Rain seal and Storm seal but from experience won't be putting trust in them. I've had other bike covers which were cheaper and lasted several seasons.
Interesting one TAYM thanks for the tip I will for sure look into getting this kit for the new year I reckon I assume it's generally available in most bike gear outlets and at a good price too cheers 👌👍
Marvellous TAYM, I've got the standard Oxford Rainseal jacket and it has been very good and, like you, I prefer to ride in jeans and a leather jacket rather than my adventure suit so these might be worth a look.
Great vlog TAYM, really enjoyed it. With memories of having my you know what's frozen in my younger days and some supposedly waterproof gear leaking more than a government enquiry i decided to splash out a bit and bought Rukka Voyage-R jacket and trousers along with a Rukka down jacket, and to finish things of soygreat thermal bottoms which i was told are by a Japanese manufacturer and thus far i can't complain in the slightest. My wallet does however 😢.
Oh! TAYM lookout catwalk new model coming through. No seriously that's a good shout for Oxford winter wear. If the air temperature is 2C degrees then at 60mph it feels like -8C.
Good one - fronting the camera, 😊 little bit freddie dobbs 😮😊... unfortunately not in the market ...you could ride in the buff today and still be too warm😂
Good to see you changing things up to a different format, Good on you. Are we to understand that full blown catwalk videos will be coming, perhaps of the Victoria's secrets for bikers type?
Morning TAYM personally I ride in a Belstaff jacket and riding trousers with waterproof trousers over the top ( even if it’s not raining - wind proof) and if it’s a little cold just layer up a bit although in winter i don’t tend to ride far 😜 carry on that man Caio for now tat ta 👍🏻
Thanks for the tip on cold weather gear Probably won’t need it here in FLORIDA LOL However I was very impressed with your lane splitting-can’t do that here tho Good to put a face to a vlog and as always Regards from Florida 🦩🦩🦩
Test rode the T100 stealth at lings and loved it although my favoured colour scheme is the model you have, rather worryingly I also just bought that olive coloured alpinestars jacket and like the look of Orwells Oxford waterproofs, oh no I'm turning into a Taym clone 😂 cheers a useful video.
Great vid taym that’s interesting that Oxford have joined with Orwell’s to manufacture some gear coz they make some half descent gear and rather than ordering on line I can go to Orwell’s and see it for real great stuff I got couple of your vids to catch up on at the moment been a bit busy being Christmas at the moment take care ride safe and wish you and your family a great Christmas
For winter riding, i wear kesis heated gloves, jacket and socks. If its wet, i would wear an oxford waterproof jacket over my bike jacket. I have waterproof trousers but rarely need them, as my ordinary bike trousers keep me dry
ive got weiss thermal pants that are 25 year old , good , and new ktm lightweights , good , and a uvex jacket , and for really bad days - a toyota hiace with zen the g.s.d. ha ha ;; and macna foton heated gloves ;;
Good information, I'm waiting om icy roads here to clear.I don't mind a little snow but ice stops me. I'm not sure we get that gear here in the U.S. but I'll check, thanks.
Great information. I've always wondered what you wear as you ride in adverse weather. Not me though, 45F is my limit and I don't like to get wet!😂😂 Probably stems from being in the trades and having to work in adverse weather. You are something to aspire to!! 😂😂😂
I’ve always wondered what set of gear you were wearing in the damp conditions. Conditions are similar where I live and the roads tend to be shaded with the Redwood trees even in the Summer. Inland is a different story, extreme heat in the Summer but starts out cool. I’ve just been walking around like a power ranger since I discovered textile riding gear. I like the idea of taking the outer layer off, stowing it and walking into the store or restaurant a bit more presentable in my leather jacket.
I did a search for the Oxford Rainseal Thermal Over trousers and Jacket in the US and couldn't find any available. I sent Oxford an email and mentioned that I saw the gear on your channel, and is there a supplier in the US? So, if black vans and helicopters show up outside your place... It might have been my fault. 😬😶🙏 😁
Hello Taym hjc modular helmet two visiers one internal fly racing heated gloves first gear heated vest highway 21 jacket cortex leather coat bates tactical below knee high crazy ykk zippers on both actually usually a good zipper is ONLY ykk monopoly on zippers great to hear you have a rig [set up] to keep you functioning at times it's time to ask Willy about the cleaning ropes Taym they are worth their weight for very hard to reach areas if I ever get fat I'll save some for my messy wipings lol😂😂😂😂🎉.. but yeah great product.
Good morning Taym my moto is buy once buy the best. my main go to suit is gor tex wouldn’t be without it I seem to use that one more than the £1800 rukka suit even rode through that French monsoon came out of it bone dry. The fit is so trim I think you have seen it black red and grey one £1450. And in the winter I have a full set of keis heated soles trousers jacket and gloves to keep warm £700 worth. People say I wouldn’t pay I think you’re the one that will be cold. That kit paid for it’s self on my first trip Scotland and Germany in the snow. Now have 14,723 miles on the new ninja since March. Very nice of them to give you some freebie’s 👍🏍️
I splashed out on gore tex laminated suit. Expensive but good. But I would.nt get another gore tex. Water still gets in. Richa one I got is.nt very well designed in zip on front. Water does get in. I would buy the non gore laminated when it wears out though. Great not having to carry waterproofs or stop to put em on. But to be fair my £80 speedwear wax cotton jacket I like more. Proper brass fasteners and buckles. No velcro 😊
Thank you for the info. Nice seeing your face😮. I expected you to be rounder and heavier. Note on your riding: if you were to drive around cars like that in any U.S. state except California you would be cited and fined or even arrested by a big law "bloke" with a bulletproof vest and many weapons blazing a loud siren shocking everyone around wondering what you did! I just got a ticket in Miami last week for going between stopped cars up to the light. $179 and three points on my license.
Hi Tayme. What are the trousers like for length. I am finding that when riding the Interceptor my Oxford trousers are riding up and rain is getting on my jeans. . I am a 32 leg, so need them at least 34 length
I want my Oxford Rainseal pants 👖 back TAYM 🦒 along with the bag they go in as my bag blew out of my shoulder canvas bag riding down the road & have to use a plastic bag now.
glad I stuck around till the end to enjoy a short ride - except for rare occasions I don't really need anything more than a light jacket and jeans here in sunny Florida. (w/boots, gloves and helmet, of course)
G’day TAYM. Fancy seeing you with a cleaning cloth in your hand 🫣. Bananaman will be impressed, or shocked 😂😂. True blue video, as always, however my dilemma is 45 degrees Celsius forecast here this weekend, any suggestions on clothing to hand a little warmth ? I will have to remember this video when next winter arrives. Stay toasty warm & ride safe mate. Hooroo for now👍🏍😎

I have the standard (non thermal) and they keep me lovely and dry, warm too.
Although I wear long John's 😂 so that helps.

Morning TAYM, I find a metal box with a wheel at each corner keeps me dry and warm. As you know, I'm a fair weather rider, roll on the spring 👍

would be a good idea to use a kneeling mat to save your knees on garage floor TAYM
or anything cardboard lump of old carpet,
Good idea on the thermal waterproofs, have you ever looked at Scott waterproofs? Good to see you in front of the camera a bit more these days.
👍👍🏍
Thanks Paul 😁
Not thermal but Richa rainworrior top and bottoms for about £50 and never let a drop through even on the M62 in an absolute monsoon

I wear a textile jacket which is all season & waterproof except the outside pockets.
What sizing tho? Oxford site says 'intelligenly sized' then just puts M, L, XL etc without any actual sizes in cm/inches!
oxford montreal gloves, richa tour jacket and a v-strom….done. 😂
Not only do people want to be you, they want to dress like you. You have made it to the big time.😂
“Some bloke”???
glad I stuck around till the end to enjoy a short ride - except for rare occasions I don't really need anything more than a light jacket and jeans here in sunny Florida. (w/boots, gloves and helmet, of course)
I've never seen so much rain than I did in Florida.
Won't need the thermals, but definitely will the waterproofs.
