Chris i been watching for awhile and you got me back into balls again. Was able to invest into high end and mid level with adults ready to go. With all the amazing morphs and a lot of research it took forever to choose what i wanted. Thanks for all the information and keep up the fantastic.
Great video, Chris. You’re correct that super coral glows will make a 50/50 split of male and female coral glow offspring. If the super coral glow parent is a male, its male offspring will be male-makers. If the super coral glow parent is female, then her male offspring will be female-makers.
Thank you for doing really great and clear explanations on morphs! I've been trying to choose a morph to pair up with my enchi leopard girl and your videos have been really helpful. I'm thinking of getting either a firefly pied or a yellowbelly pied atm
I think a great potential for supers, and for that mater lucistic complex snakes, is how useful they are for creating hets with the guarantee of transferring co-dominant genes. For example, I have a super pastel, mojave, special, pinstripe that I plan to put to a clown male next year. The clown male is a five gene male and this pairing really increases the likely hood to obtain some multi gene hets. 25% of a 4 gene, 37.5% of a 5 gene and 25% of a 6 gene hatchling.
I love supers , no matter what the babies are getting the gene - well one copy - but with that being said now all the babies will carry them gene it limits the potential ! My new girl , whom I’ll do a whole video on is a super pastel - she looks great but sometimes I wish she was just pastel.
One of my snakes is a super fire, aka black eyed lucy. I just got her a few weeks ago. She's just over a year old, all white with a small yellow spot near her tail. I've been feeding her fairly heavy, as I want to breed her next year. My calico male will be her first "date". Don't know what I'll get, but that's half the fun. (Jan Griffiths).
I pulled the trigger on a super pastel clown, should be getting her by thrusday, im prepping for quarantine now and super stoked to be getting my first female of my clown project!
The single gene pastel is mine personally. Li's reptile house has some awesome quality . I got my bamboo (Ricki bobby) from him as well. Can't wait to see what hatches 2020
I have a butter spark male that I bred to my my cinnamon female and I can’t seem to find Butter spark cinnamon or a lesser spark cinnamon on world of ball pythons or morphmarket. There is butter spark and cinnamon spark and butter cinnamon but nothing with all three genes
I have 2 bel complex supers in the making. Put my Mojave male to a lesser and a mystic. Both are gravid and the lesser is a huge girl. Layed 12eggs for a previous owner.
What program, or how do you add yourself to your videos when you are surfing the web?...and....is there a way to private message you like on Instagram? When I wanna ask you a question , I just grab a random video to comment on. Ken
You can comment on any video and I'll see it, I don't really have any other place for comments. Not sure what you mean by how I add myself to my videos? I just make a video and upload it to my channel. Sometimes Google will randomly promote my videos automatically, I can't really do anything about video placement outside of TH-cam.
Great video. You provide some of the best information. My wife has a chocolate pastel male. What gene would you recommend she pair him with for the female? She was thinking axanthic desert ghost.
Great video Chris. I was on morphmarket and world of ball pythons and can’t seam to find a picture of a cinnamon butter spark does that mean no one has made one ?
Yes I've never understood the super because it seems so hard to tell. Gotta wait years for something to prove out before you can be definitive. Interesting topic homie
I have a question, on breeding. They say female must be larger than male. What would happen if the male is more larger? Like 5yrs old and the female is 3yrs old? I really need to know. 😔
I have a question - is it possible that a breeder makes a mistake identifying codominant genetics in a snake? Some morphs like yellowbelly are really subtle and I imagine that it could be hidden pretty well, especially in a mix with something like leopard
I have two regular Ivories and two Pastel Ivories. I also have a Lesser/Mojave BEL and several Mojave’s to make more BELs. I have a Lesser GHI Possible Chocolate male and a GHI female I want to breed to make a super. Also have two Fire females and a Fire Hypo male I want to breed to make super fires.
I’m looking to get a blue eyed luci, I’m not a breeder or seller, I just want to buy one but I’m having difficulties finding a seller I can trust that has a reasonable price.
I have a female Blue Eyed luci for sale. She is about 200 grams and never refuses a meal. We feed her frozen thawed rat pups. If you reach out to me through Instagram we’d be happy to sell her to you. The account is called: Hadishconstrictors
We gotta get a better reference than snake eBay (MorphMarket). Big breeders like Markus Jayne, etc, have showcases of collections with amazing pictures. A lot of people are just moving over to Facebook and Instagram to avoid getting scammed on MM .... to get scammed on Facebook and Instagram. 💀 Maybe you can do some morph reference photography, Chris.
That male super coral glow would produce 100% coral glow offspring, both male and female. The male offspring would be male makers. A female super coral glow would also produce 100% coral glow offspring, but the males would be female makers.
Hey Chris, i have to say I disagree with what your saying about Blue eyed lucys's and well generally that there are 'limitations' (as long as were not talking lethal genes) ...when it comes to supers, I definitely don't think the bel project is quite done yet... I think certain blue eyed Lucy genes let certain pastern through and mixed with the right genes (I'm talking darker/pattern enhancing genes) then I think there is definitely more potential to be unlocked with the 'BEL' project.... just my personal opinion and something I am personally working towards (fingers crossed) but I genuinely believe there is more potential yet with the bel project (visually)
The super coral glow has the gene attached to both xy or xx chromosomes so in theroy 50/50 mix is within statistics but the odd goods could go either way male heavy female heavy doesnt really matter everything is coral glow
Yea, it's weird. And the funny thing is that I believe the very first one was a female and produced all female makers. It took them awhile to get a male LOL
I respectfully disagree the Russo ball I feel is the only morph that actually holds pattern better compared to the other morphs in the blue eye lucy complex
So if your shopping at an expo and if a breeder says a snake Is a possible "anything" theres no way to prove it there. Not until you breed with a normal?
Yes but if you want a Super than buy one without the problems on morph market. I just want one to put black pastel in every snake and add other stuff to it. Some breeders have very good success like Bobs Balls.

Always get excited seeing your videos pop up on my feed!
Thank you so much!! I learned more from this video than all others combined!!
And here I was hoping to be first. Love your videos. Your a starting breeders best friend my man.

I have a Pastel Freeway coming to breed to one of my Ivories!
Awesome video and beautiful snakes

Love your video's very informative.
Do you get white snakes if you breed 2 super pastel pairs together
the snake necklace you have . what morph is he ? its beautiful
He is a Bamboo, his name is Bobby!

Hey chris! What do you think about a pastave pied? And should I chase the lightning pied?
Anything pied is awesome!
Nice videos and I love these snakes
If you cross two different strains of a gene, such as HIOD × OD, could it produce a super, or would the strains stay separate?
You actually will produce a super and if you breed that super to a normal half the babies come out OD and half would be HIOD.
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures awesome, okay that's what I didnt understand. Thanks.
I have a butter spark male that I bred to my my cinnamon female and I can’t seem to find Butter spark cinnamon or a lesser spark cinnamon on world of ball pythons or morphmarket. There is butter spark and cinnamon spark and butter cinnamon but nothing with all three genes
I have 2 butters that I'm goin to be breeding later this year to make blue eyed Lucy's.
Lucy's always sell great

I want a Calico Bamboo next time you produce one.
OK!

Try Cinnamon Lesser, pretty much the same thing...
Yes I've never understood the super because it seems so hard to tell. Gotta wait years for something to prove out before you can be definitive. Interesting topic homie
Hey Chris what’s going on could you do a video on why a ball python has not defecated
I don't worry about it, they go when they want to go. Bobby didn't go for months and then all of the sudden BAM!
Ok cool thank you
A all black ball with blue eyes would b the coolest ever
Na dude all black with red eyes like the albinos
Just wondering if any one knows what a banana yellow belly and het red axanthic will breed out.
I have a Mystic Potion and I want a Purple Passion!
Super Genes.
Not me.
I'm really obsessed with
CLOWNS.
Bamboo.

That should be fine.

Yes, I'm sure there are people that make a mistake or 'guess' and call it a sure thing.

Hadish Gaming about 400

Ivory leopard is awesome (aka silkyway) - so not quite a dead end with ivory 😊
I've seen that! It's one of the few genes that can actually break through.

Hey Chris
I have several cool Gene's but I have a mating pair of 100% d/h for albino clown which I'm breeding now.
If u looking for pastels. I have a juvenile male and female pair or pastel, woma, calico vanilla possible enchi's.
That male super coral glow would produce 100% coral glow offspring, both male and female. The male offspring would be male makers. A female super coral glow would also produce 100% coral glow offspring, but the males would be female makers.

Sometimes you can get patterns to bleed through a bit but I'd say in a lot of cases you are pretty limited compared to other combos.
When someone says "possible" there is no real way to prove it right? I'm asking this to see If there is a way to avoid dishonest breeders. Thanks
So if your shopping at an expo and if a breeder says a snake Is a possible "anything" theres no way to prove it there. Not until you breed with a normal?
I breed my possibles to visual recessives bc you prove it out plus have some sweet hets lol
🐍🦎🐢🐶🐱🐭
So it’s just a coincidence that there are more male bananas than female?
I think you can breed males faster, males make male makers and you can quickly run them through your collection. Females take years to mature.
Dont the Super Black Pastels have some issues? Like kinking or neurological problems.
Yes, I actually covered that in this video:
th-cam.com/video/Uf1ORYgmXDM/w-d-xo.html
Yes they are prone to kink
Yes but if you want a Super than buy one without the problems on morph market. I just want one to put black pastel in every snake and add other stuff to it. Some breeders have very good success like Bobs Balls.
