So many memories of my youth in this video, I spent a lot of time there visiting family, haven’t been there in years glad to know the town is as beautiful as ever.

Random Abbeville fact: In 2009, Abbeville became the home of the tallest building in South Carolina, the Prysmian VCV towner at 373 feet. In about 2014, a 427 foot VCV tower was built in Goose Creek, SC, making the one in Abbeville the 2nd tallest building in SC. What a great video!

Such a beautiful town with lots of history. Glad they’ve preserved those old buildings. I really liked the mansion. So nice the family gave it to the town. Good tour, Tony.👍😊💕

I guess Randy Jones of Incredible Tiny Homes has brought attention to the Quiet Town of Abbeville SC. Randy's community will make homes for people with small income. I Pray it works out well for the people. Then they can afford to pay for security for the town. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💜

You don’t have to have a small income! He has homes that are not as expensive as other builders BUT most people that live in his Tiny Homes are people that have retired from professional careers. People from States that had enormous House prices and taxes are escaping to South where life is much more affordable and safe. Yes, his exposure put town on the map nationally. Just unfortunate the Town Mayor treated the company as inhospitable as he did. There are hundreds from across the country looking for a pleasant an safe place to live. Oxford, Mississippi has had such a place to live for years. They welcomed retires and their $$$ to their sleepy college town with open arms and the income of town has improved to fold.

Yes, Abbeville is beautiful, until you listen to the townspeople on the channel 4 news, talking about how they don't want any "strangers" moving there, and don't want anything to change. Good luck with that attitude, folks. There are very few constants in life, and one of them is change. Too bad you've chosen to miss out on all the retired professionals spending their money in your pretty town every month.

I was born and raised here. Abbeville is hometown to one of the greatest and most famous entertainers of all time, Ms. Lena Horne.

I don't think so - Lena Horne was born in Brooklyn.

Tony, I'm surprised you didn't visit Secession Hill in Abbeville. That's where in November 1860 the ordinance of secession meeting was held and the delegates were selected for the Secession Convention in December 1860.

Anthony Crawford owned 427 acres of cotton fields in 1916. Crawford, likely dead by that point, was still hung from a tree, and armed whites riddled his body with bullets, rendering it to a "bloody pulp" by the "bloodthirsty" white mob that resented his wealth. November 16, 1928 Crawford's 427 acres on Little River valued at approximately $20,000 was auctioned and was purchased by Col. T. G. White for $610.
