Radahn was pretty easy compared to some of the late game bosses, I think the worst part about him was how long it took to start fighting him again after dying

I don't think rahdan is supposed to be soloed, the whole point of the fight I thought was supposed to use those npc summons to beat one of the strongest beings in lands between canonically, I just think it's more fun overall.
The strongest item in the game, without question, is the Mimic Tear. It’s a summonable version of you that has ten times your health, uses weapon arts, casts spells, inflicts status, can dodge and block, has a few estus charges, draws agro, and it deals the nearly same amount of damage as you. It is the most ludicrously overpowered thing Fromsoftware has ever put in one of their games. To every “UHM AKSHUALLY” that can think of some other weapon or spell and is trying to argue that it’s somehow more effective than Mimic Tear, you don’t get it. The Mimic IS EQUIPPED WITH ANY WEAPONS AND SPELLS YOU HAVE (it will not change weapons that you have on-hand when you summon it, but it will 2-hand a weapon to use its weapon art and cycle through spells). Summoning the Mimic does NOT cause the health scaling that summoning a co-op player would. It also has (what is effectively) INFINITE FP. So, If you give it Comet Azur, it will USE COMET AZUR. If you think of something that seems “stronger” than the Mimic Tear, consider the following; the Mimic Tear ALSO using that “stronger” in tandem with you. It is a F1 car, all you need to do is give it fuel and ride into the sunset. ANOTHER ADDENDUM; to the mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging retards that are still saying dumb shit like “durr moonlight greatsword without tear is stronger than any strength weapon with tear” is that THE MIMIC WILL USE THE MOONLIGHT GREATSWORD AND ITS WEAPON ART. I will reiterate; for all of the idiots that ride the back of the short bus, THE MIMIC TAKES YOUR BUILD. IT TAKES YOUR STATS. IT TAKES YOUR WEAPONS. IT TAKES YOUR ARMOR. IT TAKES YOUR SPELLS. IT TAKES YOUR TRINKETS. IT WILL TAKE AND USE EVERY SINGLE ITEM YOU ADD TO THE HOTBAR. If you still disagree, you are a houseplant that fell on a keyboard, and you need to be turned to the sunlight and watered twice a day.
That shit has the problem of recognizing enemies and being aggressive. Prolly cuz im a mage so he stay behind like me lol if i summon fron far away. Struggled against Aster, star of darkness (fucker is more powerful than naturalborn) cuz of this. Learn to summon it in his face. Get rekt with moon and rock spam. Edit: anyone know how to improve physical defense? No matter how big my vigor is, i got my ass one or two shot. Increasing end?
Melania is by far the hardest boss I've ever fought in a souls game. Radahn is a baby compared to that 2 health bar having, life stealing, impossible ninja move dodging woman
It seems that fromsoftware puts the most amount of love and effort into some of thier hardest bosses. Malenia is by far the hardest battle in fromsoft history but she is the best boss in the game
Agreed, Melania is absolutely insane, and I think nigh impossible with a colossal weapon/str build without any summons, whether it be real player or mimic. On my dex fast-roll playthrough I'll commit to doing it without any help at all, but even with mid-roll the timings for her blade flurry need to be so precise, and you have basically zero openings to get a hit in without trading which is barely even a "trade" with her lifesteal. Ranged/magic build I assume like everything else in this game would be much easier. Honestly Maliketh kinda wrecked my shit for awhile too, but at least he only had half a health bar.
The idea that "any weapon can be good with how your build is" is true, but SoN&F pre-nerf is beyond that. It trivializes encounters beyond even summon two extra players.
The summons for Radahn are literally part of the fight. You're meant to summon them. It's why they can be resummoned, and summoned on your horse. They're literally part of the encounter.
Seeing that teapot guy I helped out literally like 25 hours earlier in my ay through and then getting the lightbulb moment of him mentioning he was going to a festival was so cool to me
It's quite difficult to judge how hard bosses really are when your own level and gear makes such a huge difference. I tried for hours against the first Crucible Knight, it was a nightmare because he literally oneshot me if I messed up and I barely did any damage. Gave up and came back after clearing the zone, like 15 levels later, and could now tank 4-5 hits without dying and did like 3 times as much damage. He died in one attempt.
Took better part of a year off and on for me to beat abyss watchers. Beat bloodborne with some trouble on Gherman and have yet to beat sword saint Isshen. Elden ring Im at Morgott myself
well yeah there's a map that someone made that outline each region and it says what the average level enemies are. so yeah gear, weapon level and player level matter a lot and impact how hard a certain boss will be

I’m not 100% sure that there’s any actual in-game text or dialogue that says anything, but the fact that we don’t see a single “Clean” Tree Spirit and multiple ones that are fucked up and/or coated in Scarlet Rot just shows that the tree is super infested and probably dying.
TBF about Radahn: He was not designed for solo fighting. It is meant to be a gank fight vs him . That's the whole reason they cap summons at 5 for the fight.

I mean isnt the elite gamer status put into question when he got outside knowledge of where a strong weapon was in the game, went well way out of his way to find it and then crowdsourced a build? as opposed to finding the weapon organically in the game and using whats available to you and what youve discovered on your own? i feel like true sigma gamers have a pure first playthrough and then lookup stuff in resulting playthroughs.
That’s a soulsborne game for ya If you have played the other games it’s a lil more disappointing tho because half of the enemies/move sets are just ported over But then again there’s also like twice(or more) the amount of enemies than any other souls like Obviously they are going to HAVE to start reusing some assets

I'm all for playing how you want etc. Charlie's having fun and that's all that really matters. But I do find it funny how Charlie says he will never summon because he likes the challenge, but then proceeds to use the most broken weapon in the game, making it much easier than it would be with summons lol.
Honestly lol, I really haven't had to summon any NPCs at even the bell summons cause I've got rivers of blood moonveil and night and flame to +9 the only boss I absolutely need a summon for blade of miquela she's an absolute destroyer
Especially considering that some of these bosses are overly aggressive to the point where you use a summon to gets hits off. Where as a op weapon with quarter their health bar in a single hit
I've been rocking max STR & VIG starscourge GS build and it fucking slaps. Reminds me of the Ringed Knight GS from DS3 DLC. But the fact that you get it pretty early here makes it even better. Radahn was intimidating at first, but more than doable. Still the #1 best boss fight in any souls game in my opinion. An epic D-Day battle to end all battles.
Yep. Once you realize his Gravity attacks are the main problem and his swords swings, Arrow Snipes and Tokyo Drift impression are all easy to read he is really fun to play against.
9:00 ima be honest, im running a full strength build, and when i got the serpent spear, i was streaming to a friend and though, "how funny would it be to level this up?" so I leveled it to +8, had the charge attack talisman, and just charge attacked the entire time, first phase attacks did about 4k and second phase they did about 5k it was wild
@@Majorof Its the spear you get when you enter the boss room of Rykard, I don't remember the exact name, but the special effect is that the attacks are stronger and super long ranged - but only against serpents (of which I believe Rykard is the only serpent in the game lmao)
Man my morgott experience was nothing like this one...i was basically r1 chunking morgott for 300-330 dmg per hit...i needed to know his moveset inside and out and exactly when to punish. Needless to say i was doing it summonless, that being said it felt amazingly satisfying to win all the while never feeling to insurmountable.
I went the same way, I respect anyone's choice to play however they want, that's part of the beauty of the souls series but I tend to actively avoid the more OP gear and magic cuz it removes a large amount of the challenge. I just find it strange that Charlie went in with that mindset at first then ended up with some of the most tanky armor and OP weapons available effectively playing on easy mode but he still had fun with it and that's what it's all about in the end.
@@BalisticBomber1 yeah I'm a prophet build and I couldn't do my max damage output quickly like how sages do so I had to remove my tear away and solo only no hit. Took me 50 plus attempts but it was annoying at times

Tree spirit was apparently designed for Dark souls 3, and in the open world without a boss health bar theyll give you golden seeds, with all of them taken out you get enough for 2 new flasks ahaha never a hard fight but by the end comes super easy
I just beat Radahn today after several attempts! Rot breath is the key but it was still very hard to “solo” with NPCs. They’re there for a reason. You need them cuz he does so much damage
5:07 A tip for new players: if you hold a weapon with both hands, your strength is "passively" increase by half Enabling you to use some weapons without the said amount of strength. For example, if a weapon requires 30 strength, but you have 20, you can still properly use it if double-hand it because your strength is increase by 50% (50% of 20 is 10, which reaches the needed 30)
People have these weird 'rules' to what constitutes playing the game for real. I prefer to do what's enjoyable for me. And what's preferable is baby mode where I summon a whole-ass copy of myself and double-laser blast every boss into a pile of magical ash in a few tries. The game gave me an option other than banging my head against a brick wall repeatedly, I'm gonna take it~

@@MaskedMammal Idk about that, I've been talking to some people who have beaten some bosses in very few attempts and I thought the were really good until they told me they used magic and ash summons. Think what you will but I don't want to keep seeing people being confused on why people think a boss is hard when they used magic and the mimic. They require no skill, and souls has almost always been about skill. The game is hard, but that's only if you don't use magic or summons(specifically the mimic)
I am having SUCH a good time playing as a wizard in this game. I call it the Star Wars Combo... Hit them with "what appears to be a small moon," down the Wonderous Physick that gives you infinite FP, and follow up with a full, 15 second long planet-killing laser. I *melted* Radahn my second try.

What's the point of self imposed challenges like "no shield" and "no summons" if the person then decides to use an absolute broken weapon to trivialize the game up until endgame? It was more fun to watch when he was not abusing this broken weapon.
One thing I've found with night and flame is if the enemy is knocked down by it's art you can charge it it up in the time it takes them to get up and stun lock them
The Radahn boss fight was balanced around being difficult with all those summons by the time you should be finding it. Obviously it’s going to feel impossible without them.
Man I enjoy summoning people and getting summoned and helping other. That makes the game for me. It gives you that momentary connection with the person where you both understand how hard that boss was and you beat him together. Once you understand all the moves It's easy.
I have played with both the max level moonveil and max level sword of night and flame and the moonveil is better for normal enemies but the sword of night and flame is way better for bosses
Was struggling badly with maliketh, until I remembered this weapon and beat him first try, it’s definitely going to get toned down if they’re tampering with the pve side of things, not sure how strong it is in pvp
It's awful in pvp. You'd have to be a moron to get hit by that slow ass weapon art. Alot of people have tried it on me, doesn't work when you have dodges.
It's really a pve-only weapon. Has a huge, very telegraphed windup time that makes it insanely easy to dodge in pvp. Can one-shot if they don't know you're coming, but you won't get another chance to hit with it.

Radahn is designed to be a raid boss. The summons aren't there optionally to help you if you need it; They are supposed to be summoned. It's a festival where multiple warriors gather to try to take on Radahn together. He isn't hard, he just isn't designed to be solo'd.
I tried over and over to kill him even with phantoms at lvl 30, but no way, I just summoned them the whole time and let them kill radahn while I was on the other side of the desert just watching
Using a weapon that allows you to sit at range and do a fifth of the healbar is pretty similar to summons though. Its a way to get around having to directly engage whatever enemy you are facing.
That guy at the end was right, you took out Morgott way faster than I did and I only used a normal weapon and Melina. You also didn't have to learn Morgott's moveset like you would have had you not used Sword of Shartlight and Shame.
I'm not particularly good at the these games, this is actually the first one I've played all the way through, but somehow Radahn was really easy for me, I beat him on my second try. It's interesting how different play styles make different bosses hard for you.
yeah it was 4 tries for me. i also had the portal directly into redmane which my friends didnt. they said getting to radahn was a big trip too. I just skipped over all of it without knowing. but for the fight all I did was stay close to him with a fast attack bloodloss and just rolled when i heard him swing lol. really wasnt bad at all
Thats cos he got nerfed tot he point where hes one of the easiest shard bearer bosses in the game. Pre nerf it took my friend somewhere up to 40 tries when I fought him a couple weeks back it took me two
For the mimic summon. I reccomend to equip spells for it, like the decay breath and the flame frenzy spell. Also equip healing spells and buff spells as the mimic can use them as well. If done right, you get a free heal when they heal themselves.

Ikr, it's fine if he's having fun and wants to use it. But it's objectively much easier than summons and pretty equivalent to a cheese in terms of difficulty. Play how you want, but don't pretend you're above summoning if you're beating the game in the easiest way possible.
This game is so sick, you can pick a build, and a rew bosses later just switch it up completely into something new, and go with that, its so diverse, such a good title
I love how DS fans are still seeking to be behind (and for!) the open world setup. It definitely makes me, more of a Bloodborne player, consider playing more!
To be fair , there are so many broken builds in this game it's quite hilarious . People can cry and scream ''you chose easy mode'' all day , pretty much every build is ez mode when you get that good shit .
I and other content creators have one-shot bosses in every souls game (in my case just DS1 and 3). It's possible to get pretty wacky in each game if you know what to run. Although, Elden Ring seems to have more consistently strong options available early which is pretty cool!

The people complaining are people new to the genre acting like vets because they bought Elden ring that automatically makes them better than the people that have thousands of hours in the genre. It's even better because Charlie has well over 100 hours into the game, do people really expect him to be using weapons from the first hour of play.
I think what that guy said makes sense, just using a super op sword to do 25 percent of his health in one hit is fine but you can't summon an npc? That's just super weird to be putting down summons all the time after using that. Play however you want but don't act like you're better than people who summon or something like that
At least you can have fun memorising and dodging the attack, with summons you can literally go full combo on the boss and permastagger him when he's targetting the others. You can just first try every boss without even seeing their attacks, if it's what you prefer then go for it, but I prefer the usual souls experience which is die and learn the boss until you beat it
I agree, I feel like using summons sometimes actually makes the fights harder because the bosses health scales with the amount of summons and most of the summons ive seen just face tank like 3 hits and then die leaving u to fight a harder boss than if u never summoned. But also i feel like he says he doesn’t like using summons but he uses the mimic tear which is better than any summon and also doesnt make the bosses health scale more + using the sword of night and flame so i feel like his argument is redundant

Night and flame is fucking insane. I used it once with no upgrades and I forced myself to never let look at it again. It was disgustingly OP

I’m not 100% sure that there’s any actual in-game text or dialogue that says anything, but the fact that we don’t see a single “Clean” Tree Spirit and multiple ones that are fucked up and/or coated in Scarlet Rot just shows that the tree is super infested and probably dying.

TBF about Radahn: He was not designed for solo fighting. It is meant to be a gank fight vs him . That's the whole reason they cap summons at 5 for the fight.

Yeah radahn is easily one of the easiest remembrance bosses. I beat him first try at level 40 with my first few builds

I'm all for playing how you want etc. Charlie's having fun and that's all that really matters. But I do find it funny how Charlie says he will never summon because he likes the challenge, but then proceeds to use the most broken weapon in the game, making it much easier than it would be with summons lol.
Honestly lol, I really haven't had to summon any NPCs at even the bell summons cause I've got rivers of blood moonveil and night and flame to +9 the only boss I absolutely need a summon for blade of miquela she's an absolute destroyer

I've been rocking max STR & VIG starscourge GS build and it fucking slaps. Reminds me of the Ringed Knight GS from DS3 DLC. But the fact that you get it pretty early here makes it even better. Radahn was intimidating at first, but more than doable. Still the #1 best boss fight in any souls game in my opinion. An epic D-Day battle to end all battles.

Yep. Once you realize his Gravity attacks are the main problem and his swords swings, Arrow Snipes and Tokyo Drift impression are all easy to read he is really fun to play against.

9:00 ima be honest, im running a full strength build, and when i got the serpent spear, i was streaming to a friend and though, "how funny would it be to level this up?" so I leveled it to +8, had the charge attack talisman, and just charge attacked the entire time, first phase attacks did about 4k and second phase they did about 5k it was wild

@@Majorof Its the spear you get when you enter the boss room of Rykard, I don't remember the exact name, but the special effect is that the attacks are stronger and super long ranged - but only against serpents (of which I believe Rykard is the only serpent in the game lmao)

Man my morgott experience was nothing like this one...i was basically r1 chunking morgott for 300-330 dmg per hit...i needed to know his moveset inside and out and exactly when to punish. Needless to say i was doing it summonless, that being said it felt amazingly satisfying to win all the while never feeling to insurmountable.

I went the same way, I respect anyone's choice to play however they want, that's part of the beauty of the souls series but I tend to actively avoid the more OP gear and magic cuz it removes a large amount of the challenge.
I just find it strange that Charlie went in with that mindset at first then ended up with some of the most tanky armor and OP weapons available effectively playing on easy mode but he still had fun with it and that's what it's all about in the end.

Tree spirit was apparently designed for Dark souls 3, and in the open world without a boss health bar theyll give you golden seeds, with all of them taken out you get enough for 2 new flasks ahaha never a hard fight but by the end comes super easy

5:07 A tip for new players: if you hold a weapon with both hands, your strength is "passively" increase by half
Enabling you to use some weapons without the said amount of strength.
For example, if a weapon requires 30 strength, but you have 20, you can still properly use it if double-hand it because your strength is increase by 50% (50% of 20 is 10, which reaches the needed 30)

People have these weird 'rules' to what constitutes playing the game for real. I prefer to do what's enjoyable for me.
And what's preferable is baby mode where I summon a whole-ass copy of myself and double-laser blast every boss into a pile of magical ash in a few tries. The game gave me an option other than banging my head against a brick wall repeatedly, I'm gonna take it~

@@MaskedMammal Idk about that, I've been talking to some people who have beaten some bosses in very few attempts and I thought the were really good until they told me they used magic and ash summons. Think what you will but I don't want to keep seeing people being confused on why people think a boss is hard when they used magic and the mimic. They require no skill, and souls has almost always been about skill. The game is hard, but that's only if you don't use magic or summons(specifically the mimic)

The intended level is ~70 I read. Most people face him at ~40 through ranni's quest with a weak weapon so he seems way harder than he is.

What's the point of self imposed challenges like "no shield" and "no summons" if the person then decides to use an absolute broken weapon to trivialize the game up until endgame?
It was more fun to watch when he was not abusing this broken weapon.

One thing I've found with night and flame is if the enemy is knocked down by it's art you can charge it it up in the time it takes them to get up and stun lock them
Some fights like radahn are designed for you to use summons.
The Radahn boss fight was balanced around being difficult with all those summons by the time you should be finding it. Obviously it’s going to feel impossible without them.
Man I enjoy summoning people and getting summoned and helping other. That makes the game for me. It gives you that momentary connection with the person where you both understand how hard that boss was and you beat him together.
Once you understand all the moves It's easy.

Was struggling badly with maliketh, until I remembered this weapon and beat him first try, it’s definitely going to get toned down if they’re tampering with the pve side of things, not sure how strong it is in pvp

It's awful in pvp. You'd have to be a moron to get hit by that slow ass weapon art. Alot of people have tried it on me, doesn't work when you have dodges.
it does a ton of damage in pvp but its very easy to avoid unless you dont know its coming.
It's really a pve-only weapon. Has a huge, very telegraphed windup time that makes it insanely easy to dodge in pvp. Can one-shot if they don't know you're coming, but you won't get another chance to hit with it.

Radahn is designed to be a raid boss. The summons aren't there optionally to help you if you need it; They are supposed to be summoned. It's a festival where multiple warriors gather to try to take on Radahn together. He isn't hard, he just isn't designed to be solo'd.
I soloed him at level 65... after more than 60 deaths lmao

I tried over and over to kill him even with phantoms at lvl 30, but no way, I just summoned them the whole time and let them kill radahn while I was on the other side of the desert just watching

Using a weapon that allows you to sit at range and do a fifth of the healbar is pretty similar to summons though. Its a way to get around having to directly engage whatever enemy you are facing.

That guy at the end was right, you took out Morgott way faster than I did and I only used a normal weapon and Melina. You also didn't have to learn Morgott's moveset like you would have had you not used Sword of Shartlight and Shame.

I'm not particularly good at the these games, this is actually the first one I've played all the way through, but somehow Radahn was really easy for me, I beat him on my second try. It's interesting how different play styles make different bosses hard for you.
yeah it was 4 tries for me. i also had the portal directly into redmane which my friends didnt. they said getting to radahn was a big trip too. I just skipped over all of it without knowing. but for the fight all I did was stay close to him with a fast attack bloodloss and just rolled when i heard him swing lol. really wasnt bad at all

For the mimic summon. I reccomend to equip spells for it, like the decay breath and the flame frenzy spell. Also equip healing spells and buff spells as the mimic can use them as well. If done right, you get a free heal when they heal themselves.

I love how DS fans are still seeking to be behind (and for!) the open world setup. It definitely makes me, more of a Bloodborne player, consider playing more!

To be fair , there are so many broken builds in this game it's quite hilarious . People can cry and scream ''you chose easy mode'' all day , pretty much every build is ez mode when you get that good shit .
I and other content creators have one-shot bosses in every souls game (in my case just DS1 and 3). It's possible to get pretty wacky in each game if you know what to run.
Although, Elden Ring seems to have more consistently strong options available early which is pretty cool!

The people complaining are people new to the genre acting like vets because they bought Elden ring that automatically makes them better than the people that have thousands of hours in the genre. At least you can have fun memorising and dodging the attack, with summons you can literally go full combo on the boss and permastagger him when he's targetting the others. You can just first try every boss without even seeing their attacks, if it's what you prefer then go for it, but I prefer the usual souls experience which is die and learn the boss until you beat it
I agree, I feel like using summons sometimes actually makes the fights harder because the bosses health scales with the amount of summons and most of the summons ive seen just face tank like 3 hits and then die leaving u to fight a harder boss than if u never summoned. But also i feel like he says he doesn’t like using summons but he uses the mimic tear which is better than any summon and also doesnt make the bosses health scale more + using the sword of night and flame so i feel like his argument is redundant
