Seven days of chasing ones Sika dreams, up against the elements and needing a little luck. Come along as Little Red & The BRB take up the challenge of rutting sika stags
Awesome mate, just love your attitude, keeping alive what true hunting and the meaning of it really is. Love how stoked you are with ol Willy Wonka. Thank you, thoroughly enjoyed that, no quad bike back paddock bollicks. Cheers!
Thanks Dave, enjoy hearing tales from the otherside of the world, didn't realize roe bucks did they same thing. Maybe it's not a genetic thing but something else that causes malfunction of antlers
@@BackridgeButcher I have many usually cased from an accident when in velvet or injury to there balls or old age my daughter is hunting in nz right now will try get some pics to you
Dude, what a trip! Epic as a word is so overused, but in this case so fitting. Love the emotion too. Awesome for you guys after what's been a tough year in your neck of the woods.
awesome mate! that,s what makes sika hunting in the roar!! you,ve gotta put the work in, and when it pays off like that it,s just the best buzz aye! nice work!
Wow that was awesome footage of an old gnarly stag. Happened to me in 2021 Elk season here in northern Alberta. Hunted hard for 7 days with the bow, nothing but scary moments with bears almost ever day, first morning of rifle season had a bull come running right at us stopped at 35 yds front on. One shot & I had a odd three by three down. Got to share it with my youngest son (23) & my grandson (13). Fantastic experience. That's what it's all about. Congrats again..
Bloody Awsum hunt indeed. Love that non typical he's cool asf and recently I was lucky enough to be given 5 packets of them Smoked Chorizo sausages and geez they're so good !!! We made a Shepards pie and put 2 packets in it oh my god it was glorious 😋🤣😂

Nice vid. Out of interest what's the knife of choice to accompany the Tika? 👍
We currently use the Ka-Bar folding hunter, keeps a great edge and only weighs 65g. Perfect for field dressing any deer
Excuse my ignorance but are you the butcher that lives near greymouth? You look very familiar to a guy that's pet deer got shot
We are Hawke's Bay based, a long long way from Greymouth

Hey is there any way for others to get access to that private block?
NO mate, no chance at all unfortunately, but the Kaweka forest park is right next door with plenty of room for adventure
