Superman and Lois was SO BEAUTIFUL because the Writers, Actors, Crew, and everyone else involved RESPECTED HIM and the core of who Superman IS. FANTASTIC JOB. James has his work cut out for him.
To be honest , it feels so great to see that DC brand is finally free from so many burdens , namely DCEU aka snyderverse , Todd Philps Joker and the era of DC tv shows at CW and etc
Pretty low to call those things burdens when those contributed to a lot of success in DC. Those CW shows gave us a DC TV shared universe well before we got the Marvel Disney+ shows or before we even got a ton of comic book adaptations on TV. Whatever you think about Joker 2, the first Joker still made a billion against all odds and won two Oscars, in spite of those who rooted for its downfall. The DCEU's downfall you can attribute to WB's meddling, but that takes nothing from the impact that especially those early films made and the push for movements like the Snyder Cut that we eventually got. So you call them burdens, but they still laid a path for the very DCU you're looking forward to, even if you don't want to at least respect the past.

Speaking of a soundtrack for the trailer I'd release a teaser like 1 week before We see a pan flight view of Metropolis, revealing the fantasy/realistic version of Metropolis that Gunn proposes, introducing well known landscapes and stances of Metropolis and if possible, the DC universe. Pulls back and we realize we've been flying with Superman while he enjoys a new day and the life of being...Superman, under a sunny, blue sky, flying, watching over the city and celebrating the (always temporary) peace of that day in particular. All of that with "I'm Feeling Good", by Nina Simone, playing in the back.
I'd never watch it if they did that. Superman is the world's strongest man, an outsider to the human race, and a beacon of noble, righteous purity. You don't represent that with dated pop music, and certainly not campy, sleazy, jazzy cabaret stripper music sung by a chick. Superman is otherworldly and his music must be bold, fresh, and above all majestic.

Like I have already said, We are getting the Superman Teaser Trailer on February 9, 2025 during the Super Bowl, then we will get the Superman Official Trailer sometime in April 2025, then Superman releases in Theaters on July 11, 2025 and is the only film from DC Studios, the reason I know this is true and what is going to happen is because we all know that this year the Deadpool & Wolverine Teaser Trailer came out on February 11, 2024 during the Super Bowl, then we got the Deadpool & Wolverine Official Trailer which came out on April 22, 2025, then Deadpool & Wolverine released in Theaters on July 26, 2024 and was the only film from Marvel Studios.

Now, 35 years later, we’re all foaming at the mouth waiting for a Superman trailer. I don’t think we’re going to get it until 2025. Once we bring in the new year, Gunn will start to get the hype train rolling.
I'd say the CW took care of Superman ONCE we got Superman and Lois. I honestly wasn't a big fan of Tyler Hoechlin or Elizabeth Tulloch on Supergirl or the crossovers like Elseworlds or Crisis. But yes, you're going to no doubt love the final season once you see it. It definitely was a fantastic ending to a great show. Like you said, as much as I love Reeve and Cavill, the family dynamic fleshed out this Superman in a way that we've never seen on screen. As for whether WBD will truly keep its distance from DC Studios...we'll see. Never underestimate WB's ability to trip over itself when it comes to DC!
I really hope the trailer finally breaks out of the trend trailers have had for the past few years where it starts with really slow music, then dramatic drum beats hit as quick snippets of action happen, then the music is at normal speed and way louder. The Mario Movie, The Minecraft Movie, the recent Indiana Jones movie, the Snow White remake, all their trailers follow the same formula.

Using a pop song in a Superman trailer would be a travesty. It would totally cheapen the franchise, turning it from an epic tale of a godly extra-terrestrial visitor, into something incredibly small, limited, and emotionally compromised. Superman isn't angsty or self-indulgent; he sits above mankind as a guardian.
I don’t think we will get a 2 minute 30 second trailer more than likely a 60 second teaser because I feel it is too early for a 2 minute trailer save that for Super Bowl or wait till the movie gets closer. I feel like they should just use a 60 second teaser just to put it in peoples heads that this thing is coming out next year.
This is a bad way for marketing this movie. Imo marketing this movie would've been better this way. 1- Release a 20 second teaser this December without revealing anything but hyping up the fans. 2- Release the official trailer which should be 2 minutes and 10 seconds long, and release that one at SuperBowl. 3- Release the second official trailer which should be 2 minutes and 20 seconds long at sometime during the end of June.

Hopefully, this DC Universe will truly show people what DC has to offer. I didn't hate the Snyderverse at all, but it just didn't strike the right chord with the audience. DC is the first and best, with some of the most captivating worlds under its belt, it's absurd that it became the joke that it was in the mid to late 2010s.
I think it would be cool to see a comic book style teaser trailer with all the past Superman actors changing from Clark Kent to Superman with their signatures under neath each of their superman logos, I think that would be awesome kinda giving a nod to the past actors who played superman as it moves to David Corenswet's Clark Kent to Superman then move to the symbol.

I personally don’t think we will get a trailer until 2025. Mainly January I hope it comes out in December as for me it’s my most anticipated movie for almost 2 years since it was first announced can’t wait to see it.
Everything coming out about the upcoming Superman movie is fantastic but I do have to say that I hope they hold off on the 2 & a half minute trailer and give us a teaser trailer now. Too much too soon could be a step in the wrong direction. I do think this movie will be great and I believe it’ll bring on quite a bit of money, my guess is well over a billion but there are (in my opinion) 3 things that are hurting the success of movies these days: 1, poor writing for whatever reason has been a big issue and I think it’s clear we won’t have to worry about that with this one. 2, negative reviews. This is something that bothers me as I believe review bombing has gotten out of hand. There are many out there who are all set with their negative review before they even see the movie. 3, showing too much before the movie is released and this includes leaks but is mostly due to showing so many trailers that we already know about most of the movie and the business of releasing the first 3 to 5 minutes of a movie is terrible in my opinion. This is Superman, do it right. Give us a little, then a little more then slightly more then make us beg to get to the release date so we can see all of it.
I didn’t like the season 4 finale of superman and lois. I’m excited to see Superman (2025). The suit looks great and David corenswet fits superman/clark. I want the movie to be a mix of ‘78 and max fleischer superman. With golden age elements and fresh storylines.

Me too. I've read so many comments here hoping the movie will be full of pop songs. Superman isn't that kind of film. It's more serious, grand, and epic. A pop song would make it too 'small'.

I personally don’t think we will get a trailer until 2025. Mainly January I hope it comes out in December as for me it’s my most anticipated movie for almost 2 years since it was first announced can’t wait to see it.

Everything coming out about the upcoming Superman movie is fantastic but I do have to say that I hope they hold off on the 2 & a half minute trailer and give us a teaser trailer now. Too much too soon could be a step in the wrong direction. I do think this movie will be great and I believe it’ll bring on quite a bit of money, my guess is well over a billion but there are (in my opinion) 3 things that are hurting the success of movies these days:
1, poor writing for whatever reason has been a big issue and I think it’s clear we won’t have to worry about that with this one.
2, negative reviews. This is something that bothers me as I believe review bombing has gotten out of hand. There are many out there who are all set with their negative review before they even see the movie.
3, showing too much before the movie is released and this includes leaks but is mostly due to showing so many trailers that we already know about most of the movie and the business of releasing the first 3 to 5 minutes of a movie is terrible in my opinion.
This is Superman, do it right. Give us a little, then a little more then slightly more then make us beg to get to the release date so we can see all of it.

I didn’t like the season 4 finale of superman and lois. I’m excited to see Superman (2025). The suit looks great and David corenswet fits superman/clark. I want the movie to be a mix of ‘78 and max fleischer superman. With golden age elements and fresh storylines.

I really want to see that stupid trailer and see if it's going to be great or bad... I wasn't wrong when I saw The Batman trailer and guessed it was going to be an emo Batman... and I know this trailer will give us a lot of info about what's coming next. That will be my decision if I will pay for a ticket or watch from home, because I'm not spending one single dime to keep watching all these stupid films that are either bohemian or a comedy with the classic empowered, strong woman and the silly, dumb man who does shit... Look how small he was next to Brandon Routh. His eyes are offset crooked, doesn’t look like Superman, and has that annoying perpetual five of clock shadow on his chin. Superman should always be clean cut. I do admit his acting and portrayal was solid, but that’s not enough to call him the best, as he lacked the look and physicality for the role. He made a fine TV Superman, but would’ve been a disaster for the big screen. And people keep forgetting George Reeves from the 50s. He was a perfect Superman and Clark Kent. He came straight outta the comic books. And shout out to late 40s movie serial Kirk Alyn…and the often forgotten Brandon Routh. Best Superman ever? Christopher Reeve. Runner up: Henry Cavill. Peace.
